Kitsyn was wandering around the Mountainside. Originally, of course, the scarfed femme had been heading up to check on the paintball course before their next game. She just hadn't gotten there... her attention span was less than stellar today. There were things on her mind she simply couldn't ignore today for some reason...
A distraction. That's what she needed. Someone to talk to. Someone new to talk to. She bobbed her silver haired head to herself, tails flicking idly as she once again changed direction... though oddly enough not toward HQ. She had this odd feeling that something was this direction.
Of course feelings like that either meant she'd had too much spicy food for breakfast or there was someone nearby who'd "arrived" within the last couple of days. Damned bizarre ESP ability. It'd be nice to meet someone new that was actually someone new to her. Though if she was lucky maybe this one wouldn't be someone she knew very much about, if anything... that could happen, right?

Well, he got what he wanted. And still it did nothing to lift his spirits. But there was nothing wrong with playing pretend, right? Even when there was no one around to perform for. So, the pale mage wrapped in black trotted along the woods, deciding to stretch his legs more than wings. A tuneless hum shook his throat as he continued aimlessly in the new world.
The tree line soon grew thin, but even with a wider view there was nothing to be seen. And no one to approach. Fai twivelled his ears, none to pleased with this vacant outcome. He couldn't hear anyone, especially the voices of the younger travelers. Or the wailing cries of Mokona. "Hyuu~" This wasn't good at all!
Giving his blue tails a swish, Fai recollected his thoughts. Now they were all split. But that would only help them learn this world faster. And if worse came to worse, he would head back to the meadow. Still, he didn't want to return empty handed....

She found herself near to exiting the current set of trees, approaching one of the grassy areas that seemed to mark the space between one type of forest and another as the climate changed between altitudes. And there... something blue. Bright blue. A very pretty blue, come to think of it.
Distraction? Fah. She was already rather distracted today, wasn't she? Oh well, whatever...
She padded closer, doing her best to be quiet until she could determine if it was a kitsu, and maybe who it was. It was... a male kitsu. And... he looked vaguely familiar. But that in and of itself didn't necessarily mean much. That nothing particular about him jumped to mind was a bigger relief than she'd thought it would be.
She spent another moment contemplating his appearance before speaking. "Dude... you're giving me feather envy." Well it was a more interesting method of starting conversation than just hello. And it was also true.

This was getting him nowhere fast. He may have to option out like the ninja and take to the sky. If nothing else came through. Turning his gaze, the male decided to inspect a tree. Yes, a tree. Pale paw moved to his chin in a professional manner, his lanky body leaning to the side in thought. Follow the moss, for it leads....somewhere. The mage should have payed more attention to that fact. Even if where he grew up never had trees. .__.
Ears pinned back at the shuffling of another form. Too alive to be the rustle of tree leaves. He tilted his head slightly, black eyepatch covering any features he may be expressing. Another was close by, that much he could tell. Not knowing if the other was a threat or not, he turned to look head on.
And stood there dumbfounded. Ten seconds to count. F...feather envy? Fai blinked with an adorable expression of confusion. It was another puppy! And by it's voice and body build, a young lady at that. Pulling on a smile, Fai bowed in a graceful greeting to the first local of this world. "Heehee, I must apologize then. I'm still adjusting to them." He rose from his bow, moving a paw to his chest. "My name is Fai. And who may you be?" His tails wagged happily, at least to know this world wasn't desolate.

Still adjusting to them? Haha. She snorted softly in amusement. "Name's Kitsyn... Well, Kitsyn Fierra, technically, but pretty much just Kitsyn." She peered at his wings again. "That has to be one of the best shades of blue I've seen." She was too mentally fatigued at the moment to consider everything she said twice the way she usually did. And... Fai? His name and face seemed to fit some vague memory. But nothing particular... so perhaps for once she just knew of someone and not actually anything about them.
"I imagine it would be odd. How'd you get in, anyway? You can't have been here long." Headtilt. She normally didn't admit to knowing about the Befores and other worlds right of the bat, even indirectly like that. She really was out of it today. Oh well, in for a penny in for a pound... though she still had no idea how big a pound was in coinage. "You're not the only one here from another world, if you were wondering. Though most of the others are permanent residents. It's... complicated." And she was the most complicated one of all... even if she was a lot more normal than a lot of the others.
She sighed. "Ah... well this suddenly feels akward. I'm looking for a distraction, I don't suppose you feel like being one?"

Fai just grinned to the compliments, letting them pass over. As far as he knew, they were only temporary. Still, his wings wriggled to the attention. "Well, hello then. Kitsyn." He was glad to find that he understood the others language. And that they were even capable of speaking in a civilied manner.
His face kept a reserved smile as she spoke, eyes gleaming to know she understood his situation. It had happened before in other worlds, so he was none too surprised. Only thing he had to keep an eye for was sides, who was a friend and who was a threat. "Actually, I've just arrived today. Quite the drop though, landing in some random forest." Sigh, they needed to work out a mapping system or something. Fai shrugged to that little detail, keeping in mind that magic was a recognized form in this world. "Permanent residents, you say?" But he went no further, blinking at her random favor. "A....distraction? Whatever for?" Distraction was his full time occupation, so....he could fill that position!

"Today? Hmm. Yeah, that explains it." She grinned slightly and shrugged. "And yeah... permanent residents. Couple of them live with me. Very interesting people."
She flicked her tails idly, ears twitching around. She just couldn't keep her mind off of him... "Ah. Things on my mind. Well, people rather. One specifically. I'm waiting for him... but I don't know when he's supposed to show up. Can't seem to concentrate on anything else today, it's driving me nuts."
She was quiet for a moment, frowning slightly, and then she shrugged and looked around. "Well... if you just got here today I suppose you're probably wondering where everyone else is by now. Yes?"

Headtilt. "Explains? Explains what, if I may ask?" He stretched his legs as he stood, not used to four legs just yet. Especially when his form was more lengthy than most. Interesting people eh? Fai could just imagine the descriptions of such characters.
"Hyuuu~ Sounds like you're stuck on someone dear." It was obvious to read a girl when her mind drifted to a special someone. But he wasn't one to pry, and left it at that little tease. She was already "driven nuts", as she had said. The mage shrugged his shoulders, white belts clinking with the motion. "That is on my mind, yes. And here I thought I got stranded on a lone island." Or world, either one. Hmmm, go with her? Maybe, was that what she'd offer? But what about the ninja?

...Oh yes. Explains what indeed. "The Inbetween... Gateway. Pathway. Whatever you want to call the place-that-isn't-a-place that leads from one world to another. I can... smell it on people, you could say. Feel it. It's not a common ability... and, well, that's basically how I found you." Yes... that was enough to explain without actually telling more about herself than she was really willing to.
A lone island? Heh... "This part's a mountain actually. Lovingly named Mountain. Quaint, isn't it?" She snorted. "This is one of the less populated areas... there are lot more people elsewhere. Since you're being my distraction today, I guess I can be your tour guide. Or draw a map in the dirt, if you don't feel like walking or something."

Ohhh, he didn't know it had a name. But it was common knowledge, where he came from. Simply the dimension of transport, with a heavy toll to pay. Fai did nod to her explanation, to remain polite. Though...was she saying he stunk? D; A sweatdrop appeared at that thought. But, he didn't want to become an easy target, if that was the case. Wasn't as if he could act like a local, even with the skin of one.
"How simple! I do enjoy knowing where I am and what it's called. Mountain. Perfect." So that explained why he hadn't sen anyone. So then....Kurogane would be flying around sometime. Oh well, let him burn off senseless steam. Ears perking happily, Fai plastered on his smile. "I'd love for you to be my tour guide! And I have no problem walking, if you don't mind my long strides?" During his travels, he learned to pace himself, and believed he could do so now. Even with four feet.

"And Mountain is... well physically it's a part of the Realm, since it's attached, but things up here are a lot different than they are down there. Though... The cabin is probably the best place to go if you want to find others. Other Kitsusagi always wander by there sooner or later." She grinned and snickered a little, bounding over the short distance between them to poke him on the shoulder. "And your long strides are nothing to me, Fai-san! I run around up here all the time with Ifrit, and he's a lot taller than you are." She jerked her head back the way she'd come from and started padding in that direction. "He's one of those interesting people I mentioned."

Well then, he might as well have gone on a camping trip. Cabins and mountains and realms. Geez. Fai blinked when Kitsyn approached, flinching at the random poking. Hey, that was his job! So, he lifted a paw and poked her back just for the fun of it. His smile showed his friendly intent. Oh, he hoped they wouldn't be running, he was too lazy for that. Hopping would do though. "Hyuu! Well, I'm certainly not the tallest person around." Maybe second in their group, but he had met a few others that surpassed him in height. Matching pace with the girl, Fai went to her left side, so his eyepatch wouldn't hinder their chatting. "So then...," He pointed a pale paw to himself, "what exactly are we called?"

Kitsyn grinned at being poked back and stuck her tongue out at him. "Ah... maybe not the tallest, but you're pretty tall for your race..." Well, that tied in fairly well with his question, didn't it? "Kitsusagi." She snorted amusedly. "Fox-bunny creatures, or at least, that's what we've been compared to and named after. Quite a bit larger than either. Well... most of the races, anyway. There's more than one type of Kitsusagi, after all. Back at the Place, for instance, we've got several normal Kitsusagi, then there's Ifrit and Valefor that came here from a Before, and... technically they're the same race as a normal, but being who they are they're really different. And we've got a few Angelics running around, and a hyper walking piece of elastic that's formally called a Dusk-kitsu. We used to have a Nightmare living with us, but she went and found a mate and we don't hear from her much any more. There's a lot more than that, though. Just an example."

"Kit-su-sagi." Hmmm, an interesting word to say. Kitsusagi, kitsusagi, kitsusagi! And he was half-rabbit, half-fox now? Eh, it was easier and funnier to just say puppy. Though....he'd bring it up one day. Kuro bunny. XD Fai blinked before frowning to himself at the long monologue of explanation. Wow, he didn't think it'd be that detailed; but he filed it away all the same. "Sounds like one big party of uniqueness." The mage smiled as he continued his walking. Seems he had alot more to look forward to than he originally thought.
"Now than, I have a question, if you don't mind." Or are capable of answering. But Fai would try none the less; it was the best he could do. "Have you come across a young girl and young lad? Both with brown hair, and they're named Sakura-chan and Syaoran-kun respectively." That was all he could go into with details. He had to remember, they weren't human anymore, and who knows what clothing they'd appear in. "Oh, and a little white bunny...sorta. Named Mokona?"

"...No. I haven't seen them. Sorry." She smiled, a bit sadly. "I'll add them to my list of people to look for though. Like I said... I'm waiting for someone to show up too." Insanely apprehensive as the waiting made her, not knowing if he'd remember her... whichever her she was... Sigh.
It took a little while, but they reached the cabin, and she poked her head inside. Quiet, for now. "Hmm. Well, they're not here yet either. Oh well... This makes a good place to search from, at least. ...We've had to do that more than once. I'm not entirely sure how my housemates keep making friends with people who are prone to disappearing..."
