She glanced excitedly between the two faces, hoping the two of them would have just as excited glances, too. At the least, Sere's reaction was what she hoped for. But what else could she expect from her mate? He was going to be a father, who in their right mind wouldn't feel excited?
The female glanced over towards the brightly colored male. Even though he didn't seem up for it right now, she had no doubts he would raise their child well. It would be an interesting experience for all of them, though she did feel a bit bad keeping him tied to their child. "If you don't want to we'll understand," She replied genuinely. By no means did she want to guilt trip him into doing this. She just thought he'd be a good influence, that's all.

"Crazy enough," The younger responded, shooting that joking look the other had been expecting at first. Understanding his friend's feeling towards kits didn't change his idea of 'Uncle Ronan' at all. And while he would never think of saying something he considered so rude outloud, it was just Ronan being Ronan and the colorful male would end up doing it anyway. Sere's ears flattened against his skull at the thought. No, no. Even thinking something like that about a friend was rude! Change of plans; he HOPED the colorful male would end up doing it anyway.
Amber eyes narrowed thoughtfully as he canted his head towards his mate. "But, Akari's right. You really don't have to... if you don't want." His naturally gentle voice got softer. Completely unintentional, of course.

Of course he didn't want to. Sure he was a traveler and ex-fighter....but babysitting? Unheard of. Still, he wasn't that rude. Especially when it was friends asking him sincerely. A sweatdrop graced his temple, and the male sighed loudly. One ear flicked to Akari's consideration, and he was so tempted to go with it.
A toothy grin was given to Sere, amused that he agreed on the crazy idea. At least he understood his tone enough not to take offense to it. Though...his jaw did drop at Sere's little play of voice and pose. Nu-uh! A paw pointed at him though he was speechless. Youuuu. Where'd he learn that little trick?? Geez, Ronan could be a drama-king, but Sere? Oh...he was good. Dx "S..surely there is someone else?" Anyone else?

She was disappointed that Ronan didn't want to take one of their children under his care. There were always other, more willing Kitsus around...but she didn't really know anyone else enough. Surely Setsumi was busy with her own family and her own obligations. Akari trusted Ronan to take good care of their child...but if he didn't want to...
Trying her best to mask her sadness, she replied, "I'm sure there are others...so if you really don't want to...We could always find someone else. Right, Sere?" She glanced back at her mate with slight doubt in her eyes. Of course, she didn't want to push it on Ronan, but she would prefer him over someone they both barely knew.

At the paw pointing, Sere put on an innocent face. Strange things happened when he wanted something. And despite his normal inability to act for fear of retribution, the fact that Ronan was a friend made it much easier. After all, having so few friends, he'd easily seen the difference between them and strangers. But honestly, the only reason he could act so strongly out of sorts was probably because Akari was there. Being unable to resist her adorable and sincere charm, himself, he couldn't see anyone else being able to, either. Nuzzling at his mate's shoulder, sensitive to her feelings, he pouted. "Right." Big amber puppy-dog eyes in Ronan's direction.

Ugh. Ears slid back as he noted Akari's presence grow glum. Why why whyyyy? Now he could see how those two became a pair. Too emotionally sleeved, to the point you felt responsible for any frowns. Since, you know, they were so rare but honest. White eyes rolled off to the side as the male considered. No point in glancing at Sere, that pouty actor. Cheater I tell ya! "Meh,fineIsupposeso..." No point in arguing, unless he wanted to sleep in guilt. Still, were on earth did the title babysitter fit in his profile?

The female smiled innocently and softly at her mate for his reassurance. He was on her side, at least, not that he wouldn't be. After glancing at his amber eyes for a while, she glanced back at their colorful friend with hope glimmering in her eyes. They really were pushing it onto the poor fellow, but kids really weren't that bad, were they? He just had to take care of the little thing until a few months until it was all grown up, right? Then he would be free again, and maybe he would change a little because of that. Soften up a little, maybe.
Her expression immediately beamed up at his reaction, "Really? Are you sure? We really don't want to push this on you, after all, it is a big responsibility. We wouldn't want to tie you down on something like this if you'd rather not," she nodded. But the way she said it with that hopeful face...anyone with a heart would be unable to tell her otherwise.

Sere laughed. Not a full out laugh. No, certainly not. It was more of a I-know-this-is-the-wrong-thing-to-do-but-I-can't-help-it laugh. After all, it was rather rude to chuckle at a friend after he so kindly accepted the offer, despite not fully wanting to. Both he and Akari could see his feelings, but from her responce, he knew they were equally excited that he'd accepted. Eyes were lowered and informally begging a sort of forgiveness. "Thank you, Ronan." He said, tails mirroring the true thankfulness he felt. It would do their kits good to grow up with diversity. "We appriciate it." It still felt a bit strange to be speaking for more than just himself.

Ears fell to the sides as Ronan peered up at the sky, as if questioning this reality. "Just....don't bring it up again. Yes was already given." His anxious tails flicked to his side, before flicking to the other. He'd need a long walk after this. One brow rose as he eyed the other male. He could only wonder how his father would react. But that was something not to voice, and after time, perhaps what he had glimpsed may have healed. Ronan's head tilted back to Akari, curious of her parent's as well. But then again, they only knew each other for so long.
A sigh escaped, already imagining the kits. With Sere and Akari as their parent's, they'd for sure be either soft-spoken or bashful. Hmm, that would progress well.

The female listened tentatively to the other two males. She nodded softly as if to add onto Sere's thank yous. "Thank you, we really appreciate it," she replied again. Her smile was soft and sincere, reflecting the fact that she truly was grateful.
She couldn't wait until she met Sere's family. If she could find hers, she would certainly bring her children and her mate to meet them. Though it mattered little if she found them or not, so as long as they grew up in a loving environment.
