||No worries, me too and we're going to assume that Navi came back to him and yes, he does have the Gilded sword. biggrin Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask have happened at this point.||

Link stretched some against the trunk of a tree, dozing as it was, Gilded Sword and Mirror Shield laying beside him. The Hero of Time had been doing a lot of R & R since he rescued Termina around seven years ago. Navi rested on a leaf above him in the tree. He ran into her on his way back to Hyrule and back together the two hadn't been happier.
It was around then Navi suddenly felt a shock through her tiny body.
"Link! Wake up! I think some thing is wrong with the Great Deku Tree!"
Link's eyes fluttered open and then he suddenly sprang up. He quickly pulled on his equipment before pulling out his ocarina and playing Epona's Song. It wasn't long until, like magic, the horse whinnied and appeared at his side. Link smiled at her and patted her side before climbing up and heading for Kokiri Forest as fast as possible, Navi slipping beneath his hat so she wouldn't be left behind.
(I'm debating on if I should keep Link as the 'Silent Protagonist' that he is in the games. Since Navi seems to do the speaking for him.)

||Ha! I have a habit of that, too but I think it may make the r/p simpler if you cave and make him talk. xd It's your choice, though!||
Dark examined the Great Deku Tree. It was not easily fooled but it still allowed him entry, hoping the monsters inside would swallow him up, instead they were obedient because he was in league with Gannon. His eyes scanned the tree serenely and he made his way down to where Ghoma dwelled. She was easily motivated to ignore him and await her actual greed-clad prey.

Link jumped off Epona's back before the entrance like always. He patted her back and let her go off and graze while he and Navi entered the forest. He slowly looked around, not seeing anything too bad around here. Last time when something happened to the Great Deku Tree, monsters were all over. He shrugged some, but he kept his sword and shield at hand just in case.

Geo had folowed Dark Link to the Deku Tree but waited outside. He saw Link and asked" How did you get out so fast?"

He waited patiently for his Hero of Time to arrive...
Sheik raced through the woods, she knew that something was up--she knew Link had left and for some reason she was troubled by it. She'd even stolen out of the Castle without Impa's detecting.

Link stopped when he saw the Kokiri boy standing outside the Deku Tree. He then looked kinda confused, wondering what he meant.
"What do you mean how did we get down here so fast?" Navi asked in Link's stead. "We just got here. What's wrong with the Deku Tree!?!?" Navi added, obviously worried.

She took her harp out and played Saria's song as she ran. Saria...is Link in the forest...?
The Deku Tree--
I think he's in danger, I'll go check it out! she raced across the feild, toward the opening of the forest and headed for the forest temple. She wasn't even half way when she paused. She'd taken the Ocarina back seven years ago, hadn't she? She played the Minuet of Forest, and teleported getting back in record time to Kokiri Village. She raced past Mido to the Deku Tree.
"Hero of Time...young Kokiri boy..." she said polietly to the two. She was relieved he hadn't gone inside. "There is something dark in there..."

Link jumped when he heard the familiar voice behind him. He turned and looked happy to see the familiar face he hadn't seen in years.
"Ze-, I mean, Sheik! Why are you here?" Navi said when she saw their old friend as well.

She smiled under the scarf covering her mouth. "It's good to see you, too." she replied to him and the fairy both. "But we must not linger. We need to get inside and take care of what ever it is that posesses such a strong aura...I fear it's as powerful you are, Hero..."

"Hah! Link can take anything. He's defeated Ganondorf and the Majora's Mask. I wasn't even there to help him with that last part. He'll kick whatever is in there's butt!" Navi said enthusiastically, having great confidence in her friend.
Link smiled some and nodded confidently, as he had plenty of ways to beat whatever it was in there, especially with a few of the items he kept from his previous adventures with him.

Link followed after Sheik, his Gilded Sword drawn and Mirror Shield as well. Navi looked around quietly, wondering who or what was inside her and had caused this problem to the Great Deku Tree.

Dark could sense them coming he readied his weapons and made Ghoma prepare to fight first.
To, their surprise, nothing too strong came first. It was the same old same old for now...
