yinala1231 starchild1988 Kawaii Kokezaru Jack the ripper is an amazing story...I mean know one knows the entire truth, but it was a sort of long movie and the best.
WARNING MAJOR SPOILER
(bilbo baggins is jack the ripper) Everytime I watch Lord of the Rings I shoult Jack the Ripper when Bilbo come on. My little brother gets really annoyed. just imagine after charlie and the chocolate factory everytime you watch lord of the rings and saruman comes out you'll say "looks its willy wonka's dad!" xd yeah, knowing me I probably will. blaugh blaugh

From Hell is one of my very favorite movies of Johnny's. My friends and family already think i'm going nuts 'cause I love anything horror, and then they thought I was even more weird when I started in the whole Jack the Ripper thing (2 years before the movie). I love the whole idea of it , (going around slaghtering prostitutes and no-one ever catching him after almost 118 years even with all of the technology we have now. I know that the original Ripper is already dead. ) The first time I saw it, I didn't even feel the slightest queasyness. There is a definite bonus with Johnny playing Inspector Abberline. He was very believable in that role. He always is in any role that he plays.

I find this movie pretty cool. even if it was a little gruseome, johnny depp acted his heart out in this movie because it was a role he was extremely passionate about. he even named his son Jack after Jack the ripper. smile

rosieB05 I find this movie pretty cool. even if it was a little gruseome, johnny depp acted his heart out in this movie because it was a role he was extremely passionate about. he even named his son Jack after Jack the ripper. smile I didn't know that. You learn something new everyday. biggrin

after watching this movie i have gotten so into reading up on the jack the ripper story its not funny. i don't know why this always happens to me i get so fasinated by something and then it gets to be an obsession

this movie creeped me out a bit. I thought Johnny was great (as always), and I loved Robbie Coltrane. The random Hamlet references and pennie on the eyelids added to teh plot line and make it memorable. They are, actually, my favorite parts because - despite it's horror feel - it adds sentimentality... and i'm such a sucker for that crap. redface

I love the movie!
Storyline and characters were well built!
Somehow I favored the 'wet johnny so he can wake up' parts sweatdrop .
Robbie Coltrane plays his partner/friend is the same guy who plays Hagrid in HP, is it not?

A girl in my class did a project on Jack the Ripper and did no research just watched this movie. I was so upset because I know a lot about jack the ripper and all the different theories on who it was. The teacher picked her over me to do the project. stare

From Hell is my favorite. I think Johnny did alot more than just be cute for the camera I mean that took guts for that role. on thing that makes me appreciate him so much is that he always goes for wierd roles or roles others wouldnt do. its makes him an all better actor. But yeah I do like Abberline in this movie hes a good character. I think. very...different. I cried when he died I really did. crying

this is one of my favorite movies he's done.. I love the whole story of jack the ripper.. even if it is really gross... stressed I don't like the whole killing thing.. lol.. but the detective work that went into that was really good.. He really played the part well.. what can I say? he's the best.. lol
