"No, I'm not. I was just in the area." Van came out from the brush toward the group. His hat was low against his face, body slightly slouched and hunched. "My name's Van of the Dawn. I'm looking for some friends of mine. There's a girl...umm kinda small...what's her face, I forgot her name. And possibly a few others. They're kinda like me, have you seen them?" His head was tilted a little in an inquisitive manner.
Anya laughed gently over at Hibana. She just looked too adorable! However, motherly instincts took over as Anya placed the dark cub between her forepaws, quickly giving her a bath. At the question of the strange lion, she shook her head. "Sorry, sir. I haven't seen any lions like that." Her tongue gently washed over Hibana's furry coat in a soothing manner. Anya's purrs also came through her throat in a motherly fashion, tail waving back and forth in content.

Luna shook her head at the male that walked into the area. "Sorry you are the first I have seen like that." She frowned. "I'm sorry I hope you get to see them. We will keep an eye out though" Something about the dressed lion made her nervous. She started leaning on Bai slightly. She let out a purr as she looked at Anya and Hibanna, she was so happy at this moment, she loved the fact that Bai Shan and Hibanna were going to stay with her and Tie, her family was growing and she loved it.
Tiernay made a face at the new male and female. He was glad Luna was not paying attetion at the moment. He sat down next to Luna's other side and started licking the water off of his pelt. As he did he kept an eye on the male, not wanting him to get close to his mother.

Hibana watched with interest as the second lion stepped out of the brush. They were meeting all sorts of interesting people today! First Luna and Tiernay again, then Anya, and now this Van. "Hiya Vanoffadawn, I'm Hib-" Her introductions were cut off by a yelp as she was suddenly picked up by the scruff of the neck and dropped between two very large paws. She squirmed around a bit before realizing it was only Anya, and that the rough tongue cleaning her fur felt surprisingly nice. But why was Anya grooming her all of a sudd- Oh. Right. Out of the corner of her eye she could see Tiernay, calmly cleaning the water off his coat. He didn't seem to be muddy at all. It figured.
Wriggling back around so she was facing the strange lion - what was that wide thing on his head, anyway? - Hibana continued as if nothing had happened, hoping nobody had noticed. "I'm Hibana, and this is Bai Shan. You mean lions with those weird head thingies? We haven't seen any." She looked up at Bai Shan questioningly.
Now Bai Shan could see why Van's shape had appeared odd. He had no mane, and was wearing something on his head. Strangely folded dark skin turned out to be a separate layer entirely at second glance. Bai Shan shook his head. Since leaving his pride at a young age in search of adventure he had seen many things, but he was certain he would have remembered seeing other lions that looked like this one. "I'm sorry. We'll watch for them, too." He stiffened automatically as Luna's fur touched his, but relaxed almost immediately. It felt... natural. Was she worried about the other lion? He pressed back a little, trying to be reassuring. He didn't think it would come to fighting; Van looked capable but weary, and he was outnumbered besides.

He sensed the tension, but shook it off. "They don't look exactly like me but close enough. Thanks anyway, I really appreciate it." Suddenly, his stomach made a very loud, commanding sound of hunger. He dropped his head in slight embarrassment, clearing his throat. "Excuse me, I haven't eaten since I got here..." his nose began to twitch slightly. "Food seems to be close..." However, as Van took a step, he fell on his belly, eyes glazed over in slight fatigue. "Oh boy..."
Anya was busily cleaning the small, dark cub away. The dirt was all over this one, and Anya would have a time getting if off. When Van suddenly fell, she looked over at him with immediate concern. Her tail waved uneasily, wondering what was going on with him. Reluctantly, she lowered her muzzle continuing to clean Hibana.

Luna flinched for a moment as he leaned back, but yet it made her feel good. She really did not even nocitie that she was leaning on him, again with out even noticing she was letting out a purr and a smile. She watched Van and listioned for a moment. "Oh no!" She stood up and stopped leaning against Bai for a moment. "I will get somthing to eat. Bai do you want to stay here with the cubs and Anya would you like to join me?" She asked alreadying standing and starting to walk.
Tie watched his mother and flinched at the growling belly of some one else. He smiled at his mother's kind ness and sat back waiting to see what would happen. He went back to licking the water off of himself keeping an eye on everyone as he did.

Hibana squeaked in surprise as Van suddenly collapsed. In a flash she was out of Anya's grasp and talking a mile a minute. "Oh no! What happened? Are you okay? We'll get you something to eat right away." Then the implication of Luna's question came through. She... wasn't going to help with the hunting? Well, she had more important things to do. Luna really wanted her to... to... stay here and guard the others. Yeah. Who knew what other creatures were out there, and not all of them might be friendly. Hibana plunked herself down by Van's side, ready to fight off fearsome warriors and ferocious beasties to save her newfound friends.
Bai Shan nearly laughed out loud before he could catch himself. Van's sudden collapse at the hands of simple hunger and fatigue struck him as too comical, for some reason. Maybe it had something to do with the way Luna was leaning on him and purring contentedly. It was very distracting. The tip of his tail flicked lightly against the ground in pleasure - until she stopped purring and got to her feet, at least. He forced himself to think seriously. "Sure, I'll stay," he said. "I'm sure you two don't need any help. Hey, give Van some space, Hibana." A huge black paw pulled the cub back to his side and he proceeded to finish the grooming Anya had started. How in the world did she manage to get so dirty all the time?

He shook his head. "No, honestly, I'm fine." His stomach however, began to protest his words. Giving a slight huff, he gave up, allowing the females to worry and his body to rest. Clsoing his eyes, he concentrated on saving his strength and energy.
Anya nodded at Luna. "But of course! It's been too long of a time since I've hunted." The purple ligress had gotten to her feet starting after the female. Her ears were pricked forward in alert, nose beginning to twitch. "There's a herd of grazers not too far from here. However, it seems to be getting late. They will become more alert and ready for a strike. We could either hurry and use the faint light, or use the darkness to our advantage."

Luna nodded to Bai and started walking with Anya. "I think we should try to get there as fast as we can, dun want anyone fainting on us." She nodded and started off with a slight sprint to where the heard was.
She stood in front of a bush waiting for Anya, her claws dug in and out of the ground. Her tail and ears were back. Staring down at the food hoping that Anya would see the injured older male in the middle.

"Not you, too," Hibana grumbled at Bai Shan as he continued cleaning her coat. "I'm not that messy." Suddenly tired from all that running around and getting excited, she laid her head on her paws and closed her eyes. She'd just let him groom her for a minute, then she could get up and guard them some more. It did feel so good, and the ground was nice and warm from the heat of the sun. What had Van been doing to get so tired, anyway? She'd never seen an adult just fall over like that. Maybe when Luna and Anya got him some food she could see if they knew any new games... Thoughts wandering, Hibana slipped into sleep with a contented smile on her tiny muzzle.
In between swipes of his tongue, Bai Shan chuckled. "You don't look fine to me. Don't worry about it, though..." His voice trailed off as Van closed his eyes. From her even breathing, Hibana seemed to be asleep already too. It was a wonder how she could be so full of energy one minute and sound asleep the next. Smiling fondly at the little cub, he continued to groom her gently. It looked like it was just him and Tiernay for now.

Anya was two steps ahead of Luna. Her body taut, claws ready, she stared over toward the wounded male, body stalking in the brush. Her eyes were intent upon her prey, eyes burning with concentration.
It had been far too long since she hunted. As she stalked, she got closer and closer, muscles moving under her pelt. She kept deathly quiet as she flanked on the other side of the herd trying to keep downwind. It was getting darker, and the beasts were becoming more alert.

Luna's ears twitched, even though she was suposed to be waiting for Anya it was the best time. She jumped out of the bush and right away begain running the male was slower that the others. She slowly sped up to keep up with him, not very sure if the other female was following.
Then she found her moment she jumped slightly and pawed at the animals rump laching on and hold on dragging it down slightly.
Tie looked at Hibbana and the male, he rolled his eyes and laided down for he was done cleaning his coat. He watched Bai carfully his eyes were very happy for some reason, he hated when he was with out Luna. He watched the clothed lion VERY carfully.

Anya gave a low hiss, and began running after the wounded animal. Her muscles were burning under her pelt a little, as she gave a slight sprint going faster, her claws digging up the dirt.
Giving a huge huff, she launched herself against the beast, ramming her body against his legs. to try and trip the animal. She also held out her claws to cut his legs as she fell on her side, looking over at Luna "C'mon, you can do it!"

Finally finished with Hibana, Bai Shan opened his mouth to say something, then decided against it. Tiernay didn't look too happy for some reason, and he didn't want to spoil the day's good mood. He wondered how the two lionesses' hunting was coming along. The light was fading fast, and the white parts of Bai Shan's coat seemed to glow softly in the dusk.

Luna smirked as she let out a small roar, only because she had mouth mosly occupied by the catch. She pulled down as hard as she could. "Come on." She hissed as it finnally fell to the ground She grinned happyliy. "So ready to drag it back?" She asked panting slightly.

"And they call that the hard part!" Anya gave out a gentle laugh, trotting over to where Luna went down with the animal. "It gave quite a fight, if I may say so myself..." The ligress shook the dirt and debris from off her pelt before going over to the catch. Placing a large amount into her maw, Anya lifted the carcass upward before motioning over to Luna.
