What was he doing... She shook it off, she also shook off the fact that it made her feel good. She bounced off of the ground and looked away for a moment... "Wanna walk?" She asked with a bright and welcoming smile spread across her face. She turned around and started walking knowing he would catch up. "The cubs are getting so big." SHe grinned. She counded both of the cubs as her children and if Bai admitted it or not she knew he did too.

"Huh? Oh, okay." He padded after her, still a bit dazed. "We going anywhere in particular?" His paws still left a wet and sparkling trail that was quickly soaked up by the parched earth, but already the sun was beginning to erase all traces of his mishap. It felt good on his cold and wet fur.
"Yeah, they are." He smiled with a father's pride. Hibana was growing up so fast, although she was still the same irrepressible cub at heart. And Tiernay was doing well too. Bai Shan had a big soft spot for cubs, and it hadn't taken long for him to feel as much affection for Tiernay as he did for Hibana. But he tried very hard not to usurp any of Luna's authority over the cub, as he had no idea how Luna - or Tiernay himself, for that matter - would feel about the intrusion. The last thing he wanted to do was offend anyone, after all.

Luna grinned as she walked, a trail simmlar to his but smaller also going behind her. "No where really." She swiped at a rock as she praticly troted along. "Tiernay likes having you around, its good for him to have a father... figure around." She grinned. And bumped into him lightly.

"You think so?" Bai Shan asked, feeling oddly gratified. He walked along in silence for a few minutes, lost in thought, then turned back to Luna and grinned with most of his usual good humor. "I did tell you I'd get him to like me eventually, didn't I? When we first met, I mean." It was hard to believe it had been only a short time ago - already it was strange to remember a life without Hibana, Luna, and Tiernay in it to make things interesting.

Luna smiled and bumped him again. "Yes he does." She laughed and looked up at the sky for a moment. "You were right!" She laughed. She loved her family. Loved it more when they all got along. Which most of the time they did.

Bai Shan purred low in his throat. It felt good to be here with Luna, talking about their cubs under the bright sun. He looked over at the lioness - she looked so radiant and full of love right then... Impulsively he nudged her back, running his tufted tail lightly across her flank before drawing back a little again.

Luna was surprized for a moment as his actions but, she like it. She leaned closer to him and purred. If it wasn't for the fur on her body she would be blushing. She let out a small smile though and looked at Bai. Her tail wandered around his back leg and wrapped around it.

Bai Shan had been about to pull back, mortified at his audacity, when to his surprise Luna didn't seem shocked or upset. She actually moved closer! He met her eyes and smiled back, suddenly realizing why he'd been so ill-at-ease that morning.
As a rogue, he had almost always been treated with suspicion when meeting other prides. And since he was at a disadvantage in every encounter, he had learned to temper his carefree personality with caution, to keep a polite distance and avoid crossing the line - and making friends with a lioness definitely counted as that. But maybe... maybe he didn't have to think so much like a rogue anymore? Luna had certainly never tried to make him feel unwelcome.

Luna's smile grew and she moved even closer to him her body pressed against his. Her purr grew louder and she just very slightly slowed down her pace. She was very happy at the moment, her eyes were closed as she walked. "Mmmmm." She rumbled very slightly.
Luna always been a carfree lion and never thought more of males then of friends... but her veiw of that was starting to change of Bai.

Bai Shan still wasn't totally sure what was going on today. From play, this had suddenly become something... better. Bigger. He didn't know what it was, but it felt good. Luna felt good, walking right next to him like that. Somehow he couldn't remember when exactly that had happened, but now it seemed as if she had always been there. "Luna..." He gave a start as he realized he was speaking directly in her ear. When had he gotten so close? Stop thinking, a voice seemed to be telling him. He gave himself up to the moment, smiling down at her again.

Luna pushed her head down just slightly so it was leaned on his mane. "Yes?' SHe purred and smiled back. Her tail flicked and she looked up for a moment before placing her head back on his chest. "Is their somthing a matter? Am I making you feel unconfuratble?" She asked with a blush and she moved away a bit.

What? Oh, no. No. It's - Aargh. It's fine." He gave up, flattened ears and stricken expression all too easily betraying his embarrassment. Why was it he always seemed to end up that way around Luna? And why should it matter so much to him that he did? He had never been terribly self-conscious, and here there was no one to impress. It was a good thing Hibana wasn't here; she'd be laughing her head off at him, no doubt. Hoping Luna wouldn't pursue it further, he snaked his tail over to gently pull her back to where she had been.

Luna relaxed for a moment and moved where his tail guided her. She smiled again and a deep purr came from her gut. She leaned against him and cuddled slightly. She really did not know what to say. Was this what she was waiting for? She was happy. Really happy.

Bai Shan nearly heaved a sigh of relief before he could stop himself when she came back. He had the strangest urge to nuzzle her, making the image of Hibana laughing hysterically come into his head again. It burst with a seemingly audible pop! when he shook it off. Suddenly, he realized he had no idea where they were. They'd just been walking, and... "Do you know where we are?" he asked Luna. "Er, not that it matters." Somewhere in the last few minutes his tail apparently had moved to curl around hers.

Luna started thinking as she did her feet stopped. She looked around and took a deep breath in, she normally new this place by the smell. She started thinking as hard as she could and smiled. "I believe we are not that far from the den. We are north however." She nodded. "I'm getting a little tired. "Would you mind if we laid underneath that tree Bai?"
