My friend Pangolin, who is also a big Studio Ghibli fan, sent me a copy of Grave of the Fireflies. It had the be the saddest anime, if not any type of movie, that I've ever seen.

this movie is one of my favorite ghibli and miyazaki films. it is also pob the sadest movie i have ever seen.

I cried when I saw that movie. those are the type of movies I can oly see once in awhile because they make me so sad. I still love that movie..... *sighs*

I've heard many things about it and I really want to see it, but at the same time I don't... Haha, I'm...afraid? I don't know. There's just some weird emotion stopping me from watching it.

I would've cried (I think) if my stupid friends didn't spend the whole film saying stupid jokes. It taught me to watch sad movies alone.

That's too bad that they did that ^_^''' but it reminds me of my b-day party and we were watching The Ring...and my friend and i wouldn't stop laughing for no reason. especially when we paused the film at a close up of someone's face...we were cracking up. everyone was telling us to shut up XD PS: i talk too much lol

It reveals so much about the war. It was so differnet than most war movies because it concentraits on the effect on the people and not the fighting.
It's one movies the best at portraying World War II.

It's so sad!! I cried the first time I saw it, yes I get emotional sometimes, but how could you not?? But even worse is that this was happeneing all the time all over Japan. Actually I watched this with my friends and we had to break out Totoro afterwards to cheer us up again sweatdrop

He lost everything and then he finally lost his own life!!! crying crying it's so...waaahhh!!!!! crying This movie defies the saying, "Everything will be alright in the end."

My copy is unrated... it says suggested 3 up though... which I'm not sure what they mean, cause if it's age... it's kind of violent for a 3 year old...
