Syric had unbuckled himself before the ship had even set down. If anyone were to pay any attention to the large man during the flight, they would have seen him turn the most curious shade of turquoise.
Now, however, the blond made his way out of the ship on wobbly legs.
How he loathed Gummi travel!
He stood on the beach, a sizable shiny-gray dot among the sand and vegitation. His eyes scanned the land, then he turned to the sea.
He thought for a moment, bending to grab a handful of sand and toss it out on the waves.
He bent again, grabbing a handful of sand and, as before, tossing it out into the water.

Gabriel whispered something into the gentle island breeze, and it picked up just that much more, giving his tired eyes a good look everywhere the wind blew. He could "see" the others on the beach, and hear their voices clearly. He concentrated mostly on Zife and Thrais, the two Chasers who would be in the greatest danger should the midden hit the propellers...

"Besides opening a can of whoopass?" Maki sneered, "I dunno how it'll start, I'll just go with the flow of battle." Maki smiled with a shrug, "Never really one for tactics."

Dorinda and Rix got out of the gummi ship together after it had landed, going over the plans together in their heads, they were ready for just about anything. Dorinda laughed with Maki and waved hi to Thrais, then, she made her way to the palm tree that was closest to the cave without her fighting skills being dwindle by obstacles. "Ready for action sir!" She laughed after shouting it outloud in mock military fashion.
Rix watched where Dorinda went and went over to the beach where Syric was at. "Having fun or being bored?" She asked trying to be funny and crack a joke, which really wasn't her forte since she normally watches. But she needed to relax a bit still, since she is a bit tense.

The wingweaver was sure now, she'd had been here. A long long time ago when she was very little. It was a mistake, Thrais had opened a gate to this world by accident...or so she thought.
Leaving the prison of her temple shrine behind, the tiny wingweaver appeared on Destiny Island almost 10 years ago...
There.. she met Mickey for the first time.
__Flash back memory___
'....don't be scared" Mickey said coming closer to a tiny red-head. Se had only one pair of wings at the time. she stoodd there shaking and timmid, never had she left the shielding walls of the inner shrine, and now she was out in the open on a beach of all things!
"I have somethign for you, it's a gift, but also a job... but I trust you cna keep it safe for me." Mickey closed the distance between them, and held out his hand, where in his palm lay a tiny key. "This is called the oathkeeper... and it's for you. It's no safe here anymore. Someone like you, who can travel through worlds at whim.. should have no problem keeping this thing on the move for me. You just be careful...and find it in your heart to forgive me."
The little weaver had felt warmth inside, and then a pulling sensation, like her heart was being tugged at, then opend. Before she realized it, the mouse king had placed his hand with the key on her heart, and everything seemed consumed by a golden light for a moment.
"When you're heart matures Athrais... that the time when it can't stay with you any longer."
When it was gone, so was the King, and the weaver was left alone on the beach with her chest suddenly feeling so heavy. the Mouses words haning in the air, echoing in her mind in his absence.
' You'll be in danger from now on.. but it's the only thing I can do to give you more time in this life.'
She lost track of how long she'd stood there, before she heard other foot steps coming up form behind her.
"Hey- Sora see?! I told you it wasn't a bird, it's a girl see?"
___end flashback___
Thrais put a hand to her head, feeling a bit dizzy, but still alert enough to know if something happened. Remembering seemed to be a burden. But at least now things were becoming clear.
"..so it's true... it really is inside me isn't it?"

Syric glanced at Rix, nodding to her before tossing another, final handful of sand.
"Just thinking." He rumbled in a calm, even tone, "Just what to do."

Rix nodded her head too. "Dorinda and i did that a lot on our way here. We got some ideas layed out on what to do with our powers in certain situations. I just hope they never recieve the key, no matter what.."

Syric thought about the shorter girl's hope for a moment.
Anger welled up inside him, at the thought of Kajime laying his hand on another key.
Still, he kept his cool, calm exterior.
"They won't.." The powerful man said through clenched teeth.

Rix looked at Syric, even though she noticed him clenching his teeth, the way he spoke made her happy to hear it. And she did a rare smile. "Yeah. You're right. We won't let them."

Tau smiled at Maki's comment. "oh, you have so much to learn little girl." He chuckled. "When I look out there from this vantage point, it is the perfect sniping area. I could cut anyone from here, all I have to do really is glass the beach, shatter it and use my mind to hurl the shards at my enemies." He said, explaining a possible way for him to lauch an attack. "But it would be too draining on my body, though." He said, streaching his arms behind his back.

Syric, the anger inside him staunched and smouldering, unclenched his jaw and kicked at the sand a bit.
He hadn't noticed Rix's smile, but when he did he looked back to the ocean.
He pondered the smile for a moment, then looked back to the girl.
"It's time to get ready." He said, staring out over the ocean. "They will be here soon."

Rix looked at the ocean, and then she just realized something. "Ummm....do we hold our breath our something?" She asked confused on how they should hide.

"You could try." Syric said, "I have that covered, though."
The amulet dangling around the large man's muscled neck still had an eerie, magical glow about it. The closer Syric was to the ocean, the stronger the glow was.

Rix looked at the amulet Syric was wearing, then looked back to the ocean. "Maybe I can try to seperate the water to make a little bowl of air for my head to be in....." She thought speculatingly and walked into the ocean till it was up to her knees than gave in to the urge of kicking in the water and twirl in it for a second. Laughing a little to herself she then tried to make the bowl shape she was talking about.
(hey guys! I got great news! we got one more earth user to join us on the fight. The Cash Man will be back in the USA this Friday!!! I'll give him the lowdown and then he'll be able to join us in battle!!!! That is, if the military will allow him internet access on base as soon as he gets back.)
