Baiyu shrugged and threw Ren's boot back at her, narrowly missing her. "I've been bored, since Maester Ren over there would rather spend time with a certain other Maester..." Baiyu hinted by smiling at him.
Ren snorted slightly and put her boot back on, tying the leather strings tightly. "I'd do better if my Flank found himself something better to do other than womanizing and wandering aimlessly after the others."

Albiore sidled up to Baiyu, like co-conspirators. "Who's this other Maester you speak of? Things sound interesting..."

Baiyu smiled. "Now that you mention it, there's two..." He looked over at Ren, who had raised a dark eyebrow and was trying to listen in. "The Maester of the Yellow Horizon, and... you.." Baiyu said slowly, waiting for a reaction.

Albiore nodded, looking perplexed... then jumped. "ME? And Oisin? What's she got to do with us?"

Baiyu laughed. "That ego of Oisin's is one of the things she likes to be around, and I think she's just genuinely fond of you." Baiyu's smile sobered, and he tilted his head ever so slightly. "I think your personality and light attracts her. I admit to dragging her here, but her not leaving proves, in my mind, that there is something about you she can't get enough of. That's kind of how she and I are. We annoy each other to no end, but all the same, the light and darkness we sensed in the other drew us in, and we became lovers."

The elf continued playing as he looked up at the two guests that had arrived. He needed no battle to decipher their strength, but from the way they spoke to each other, they must've been powerful and highly respected maesters. A few birds began gathering around him, some on his head and his shoulders, the rest continued to hop on the floor. Aura walked over to the two maesters and curtsied
"Good afternoon, I'm sorry for intruding upon your nice conversation but in place of Van, my older brother, I would also personally like to thank your kind comments earlier." She smiled and moved a bit so they could see the Elf still playing on his flute and his eyes closes as though in deep concentration.

Ren nodded her head absent mindedly before standing up and walking over to Baiyu and Albiore. "Well, if you don't mind, I'd rather you two not whisper things about me..." Ren glared at Baiyu and sat down at his feet.
Baiyu stared at Ren before looking around in panic. "I didn't lose my head!! Something's up!!" He knelt down quickly and pressed his hand against Ren's forehead. "You're not ill, are you Maester?"

Albiore stood back and laughed a bit. They were an odd couple, alright... But who here wasn't?

Ren swatted Baiyu's hand away and looked up at Albiore. "Eh, he's okay, but he spends a little too much time away. I haven't really seen him since I left the library."
Baiyu sighed and patted Ren's head. "Now, now. You can't really blame him for wanting to get out of that depressing location you chose..."

Albiore nodded. "I have no idea where my Flanks or Knights are. Probably up to their own agendas. Ah well... Come to think of it, I barely know WHO they are..."

Ren shrugged her shoulder. "Baiyu's probably annoying my subordinates..." Ren suddenly burst out laughing. "Albiore you should've seen it!!! First day in office Baiyu nearly wet himself!"
Baiyu sighed and looked up at Albiore. "She's lost it..."

Baiyu sighed. "You ever hear about adults who've had a bad experience revert to a time when they were happy? Ren does that, usually when it's most inconveniant for her image..." Baiyu shrugged. "When Ren was about.... I dunno a few centuries old.... maybe.... she killed her parents because they were having a fight. Since that day, she was the person you originally met. Occasionally, when she's at peace, she goes back into her old personality. Personally, I welcome the breather, but you know... being a Daemon, that's gotta hurt her reputation..."
Ren forwned slightly, and laid down on the floor. She kicked her leg up and knocked Baiyu over. "You talk to much..." She pouted
