Ren thought over what she asked her, but she never acctually decided what she wanted to do with her new powers. "Well I already have to do this, but help repair things on the island. After that I don't know what i'll do. Probably just whatever im appointed to do." She replied, as she sighed. She was beginning to wonder how long she had been on this island.

Alyss sighed at Ren. "You are a goddess you can't just go around doing whatever they tell you to. In all honesty you should be telling them. Don't let them push you around." She smiled reasuringly and stepped closer to her.

"I suppose your right." She said, as she directed her gaze towards the ground. Even though she wasn't really the type to tell people what to do. All she ever wanted to do was live a normal life, and possibly become a wanderer so she could explore all of the other islands. Though that was something that wouldn't be happening as long as she was the goddess. Maybe if there was a god for the island she could, but they hadn't found a guy who was able to pass the trials or who was capable of being the god of water. "So what do plan to do as a goddess?" she questined her, as she kept her gaze directed at the ground.

Alyss grinned wickedly. "I have many plans, we will see which come about." She guessed at what Ren was thinking and sighed. "You know you could still do whatever you want to now you are a goddess, in fact you are in a way more capable of doing it." She laughed softly to herself remembering something. "I find in these empty times of peace people don't realy need us, we are nothing more than a symbol to them. We portray whatever they want in life." She shook her head again and laughed. "Or at least thats how I see it."

Ren looked towards Alyss, as a childish like grin appeared on her face. What she was saying was pretty much true. Now that she was goddess she could do whatever she wanted now. She could still go to the other islands, and just do what ever she wanted. "I guess your right." She replied cheerfully.

From the ground nearby Alyss and Ren, a figure rose. He stood tall, with unkempt rust-colored hair. He was brushing a little bit of dirt off of his clothes, when he caught sight of the two godesses. "Well, what a suprise to find both the Mistress of Water and the Mistress of Darkness here." He gave a deep bow, and rose again. "I apologize if I interrupted anything of import. Just thought that a new goddess of water should be introduced to the god of earth." He looked at Alyss with a hint of amusement showing in his eyes.

Alyss folded her arms and scowled at him. "Hello Beryll." Leaning back against a tree she cursed his appearence here.

Ren looked from Alyss to the person who had just appeared with a confused look on her face. She noticed that Alyss didn't seem really happy to see him though. "Wait who are you, and do you two know each other?" She asked, as she waited for a response. They both probably did know each other seeing how they were both gods and goddess of there islands for awhile, or atleast she that's what she thought.

The look of amusement didn't fade from Beryll's face. "Well, she is a goddess, and I am a god, so we know each other from prior instances." He gave a little chuckle under his breath. "Darkness is a strange element, one that conflicts in many ways with earth. Some things that she would consider commonplace I refer to as unnatural, so we know each other, but we are not on the best of terms."

"I see." She said, as she looked over towards Alyss to see what she thought about all of this. She defiently appeared to be on not so great of terms with him when he first arrived. She was beginning to get rather curious of this whole situation. She then leaned against a nearby tree, as she crossed her arms.

Looking at Beryll she grinned. "Amazing isn't it? How even God's can be petty." Sighing she straightened up and tilted her head in Ren's direction. "It was nice meeting you Ren, do call on me if you ever wish to talk again." Turning she left them deciding to go see if there was anywhere else more fun.

Watching her leave Beryll let out a full laugh at her last comment. "Well, I suppose I won't say anything contrary to her statement. After all, no point bickering over the small things at this time." He began to walk away himself, but paused for a moment to speak. "Well, I came here to do what I was asked, sometimes those monks can request some of the strangest favors. If your newfound power ever gets you down, remember these words, 'Even the smallest of rivers can eventually carve a valley into a mountain.'" And with that, he dissipated back into the ground.

arrives on beach "Okay... where am I?" looks around "There's nothing that specifies an element..." walks forward and sees a flat stone that seems to glow "Wha?" picks up the stone "A... message? A story... must show how someone passed away..." Once there were two brothers who lived happily with their parents. The younger loved going on walks and everytime, he brought back a lone, dried up stick. He always walked on all days in Summer, Spring, and Fall, and the sticks he brought back were the perfect firewood for the winter. The parents loved what the youngest was doing by providing survival through winter, but the older brother got envious. When he was able to move out, he killed the mother and father for treating the younger like he was a god and the older was not. The oldest walked to the farthest house he could reach before winter. When winter was over, he was out of firewood. The very first day of spring he went outside and found a lone, dried up stick in front of his house. He knew now that the younger brother gathered firewood for the family, including the older, and didn't expect any special treatment. He didn't buy more firewood because he had a good supply, but he refused to use it. And on the coldest day the town has ever seen, he froze to death knowing that he wasn't worthy of the warmth his none the wiser brother provided for him. It said on his gravestone that regret is the worst thing to die with. "... wow..." puts the stone in his pocket "Kind of reminds me of me and my brothers... I wonder where they are..."

Ren found herself alone once again, as the Beryll soon left as well. She figured they would most likely be the last people she would encounter, but she soon began to feel another prescence that had entered into the barrier she had created earlier. She didn't know if she should make her way towards who ever it was or avoid them all together. She hesistantly look around as she tried to ignore they were even there before she finally caved in and decided to find whoever it was.
