This place has all the attributes of the surrounding islands. It's believed that when one of the gods or goddesses die their spirit comes to this island. It's also used as a meeting place for all the other gods and goddesses of the surrounding islands. A temple is located in the center where only the gods, goddesses, priestesses, and monks of the surrounding islands are allowed to enter. It's also believed that once a god or goddess dies that the monk of priestess of the island travels to the shrine to determine who the next god or goddess shall be. There is no god or goddess of this island though, but people tend to come here to train.

Ren made her way caustiously through the woods, as she searched for the sacred temple. She was exhausted after the ceremony, and just wanted to escape from the chaos even if just for a little while. There was a huge banquet in her honor seeing how she was now the new goddess of water. Everyone expected her to bring good fortune to the island, and make sure a war didn't occur. She brushed a stray strand of hair out of her face, as she readjusted her kimono so she wouldn't step on it. Her hair was neatly done in a bun with flowers in it. Her kimono was a dark blue color with an elegant flower pattern on it. She let out a sigh, as she examined herself in a small pond. She wasn't really the type who enjoyed dressing up. She glanced one last time at the pond before she began to search for the temple again. She didn't really care if she found it today or not, she just wanted to know what was inside of it. She remembered one time when she was little she had come across the temple, but when she got close to it it was as if she had ran into an invisible wall. It wounded up launching her a good 10 feet, causing her to get covered in cuts and bruises. Her parents scolded her for being careless, and told her to never go near it again. And she didn't, but now she was able to enter, and she wanted to know what was inside.

Ren walked along through the covering of the trees, as she continued her search for the temple. She had a feeling if she didn't find it soon someone would come looking for her, and demand that she come back to the island of water at once. She had so many things she still needed to do, and she ran off right after the ceremony. She wouldn't be surprised if someone was coming to get her at this very second. She then stopped, as an idea popped into her head. She could create an invisible barrier using the water particles that are in the air. That way if anyone would enter through it she would know there exact location was, and be able to sneak away from them. Also they wouldn't be able to know if they entered it. The only others who would be able to detect it would be generals, or other gods or goddess. If she were to create a stronger barrier then that would be a whole other story though. She then began to form different symbols with her hands, and began to reciet something. A faint blue aura began to form around her and spread outwards. The color soon began to disappear untill it was completly gone. A smirk formed on her face, as she continued her search.

Ren continued her search which seemed to be taking a lot longer then it should have. She was starting to get some what annoyed by now, and was begining to get the feeling that she was going in circles. She began to look around when suddenly an annoyed look appeared on her face. She was defiently going in circles, she had some how managed to come across the small pond that she was looking at her self in when she first arrived on the island. It was almost as if the temple was keeping her from seeing it yet, almost like she wasn't ready to go inside of it. That was defiently not going to stop her. Though it was probably best if she headed back to her island for now. She had been gone for atleast two hours, and she was getting hungry. Plus she also had to help supervise the repairs of everything, and it was best if they started working on that right away.

Appearing on the island Alyss smiled.
"Didn't expect to find her here, no matter."
Wandering along she saw the barrier Ren had made.
"How cute, she dosen't want to be disturbed, well I wont disturb her then."
Holding out her hands she muttered under her breath, her skin seemed to turn slowly darker untill she was entirly black. She had become a shadow and stepped through before becoming whole again and heading in Ren's direction.
"Now where are you?"

Ren felt a chill run down her spine, as she slowly made her way through the woods. It felt as if something had passed through her barrier she had created, but she wasn't certain. She began to quicken her pace, as she decided it was probably best if she leaved as soon as possible. She then froze when she saw something, more like a figure of a person that was coming her way.
"Who's there?" She shouted, as she watched to see what the person would do.

Looking over to her left she saw Ren and smiled.
"Hello, I've been looking for you."
Walking towards her she held out her hands in friendship.
"I'm Alyss, goddess of darkness. And you must be the new water goddess."

"Possibly." She said, as she eyed her suspciously. She didn't know if she should trust this person or not, so far she didn't give her any reason not to though. She then crossed her arms over her chest, before brushing a loose strand of hair out of her face.

Alyss lowered her hands by her sides and tilted her head.
"Well aren't you going to tell me your name? It's only polite you know."
Leaning back against a tree she smiled, she was an odd girl she thought, different somehow.

Ren let out a somewhat annoyed sigh, as she caved in a decided to give her her name atleast.
"My name is Ren, and yes I am the new water goddess." She stated, as she leaned against a tree as well.
"So what brings you to this island?" She asked, as glanced over to see the pond from before. She always managed to find her way back to it, which was quiet annoying.

She looked down at the bracelet on her wrist then back at Ren.
"To be honest you, I just wanted to congratulate you myself. However what I would like to know is what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be celebrating?"
She gave a small smile and straightened up.

"To be honest I don't really care about being the water goddess. I was considered to be the best suited for it, and apparently I was. I was the only one to pass the trails with flying colors. So here I am, the only real perks are that I am now the most powerful one on the island, and I can visit places that I wasn't able to before. Such as the sacred temple on this island." She said, as if it wasn't a big deal. She would rather be just relaxing at home, or helping with the repairs of the island, but that wasn't possible anymore.

Alyss laughed.
"You don't care? You are an odd one. What else would you of done with yourself?"
She laughed again finding her reply almost like a joke.
"Seriously? You never wanted to become a goddess?"

"Not really, it was more or less what my family wanted. Seeing how I am the goddess now, I might as well take my responsibilites seriously though." She said somewhat annoyed. She then reached towards the back of her head, and pulled out the hair sticks that were holding up her hair. She then proceeded to pull out the small flowers that were used for decorations.
"So how did you become goddess?" She asked, deciding to take the attention of herself for awhile.

Alyss considered her question for a moment before answering.
"I caused some trouble when I was younger, insted of punishing me they trained me. Mind you in a way that was punishment enough."
Her hand went to her braclet. It always comforted her to feel the warmth it seemed to hold. Grinning again she watched Ren closly.
"You may not of wanted it but now you have the power what do you plan to do with it?"
