My story is the traditional "rough childhood, acting out=freak" story.
Obviously I didn't have the best childhood growing up, spankings and "beatings" were common place in my home, I remember one day having a broom handle broken over my back, I hated it at the time, but as I got older, and eventually moved out of the house, I found myself a little more promiscuous and a little more freaky.
It was when I turned 15 that I realized that I liked when things hurt. My boyfriends would clamp down on my neck and bite until I couldn't stand anymore. Piercings and the rough stuff only seemed to fuel me on.
Then one night, I stumbled upon a guy in a game called Furcadia, it was him that took the time to explain to me what I was going through. What it was that drove me to do the things that I did. He was the one who took me under his wing and showed me through online roleplay what I was looking for.
When I turned 18, I flew out to see this guy, and he showed me that the lifestyle did not only exist online, but in the real world as well. It was from that moment on that I realized that I belonged in this lifestyle, that what was missing in my life was a Dom, that powerful hand that I had unknowingly had while a child.
I haven't looked back since.

I have only been introduced to the lifestyle recently by my fiance. At first I didn't feel any special lust or attachment to it but as time grow i found things that i wanted to try. I'm not sure if I actually enjoy BDSM or if I enjoy living the life because it makes my Fiance happy. I'm not sure I really care which, we are both happy and that's enough for me.

Believe it or not, from my very first time of losing my virginity, I was introduced to the BDSM lifestyle. The girl I lost it to was more experienced than I was, and I guess she kind of just saw the Dominant in me I didn't even know was there.
The first time we had sex, she kind of provoked it out of me and, well, the rest is history.

I've always been submissive - when I was little and played games with friends, while they would be the ones with Harry Potter as their character's girlfriend, I would be the one helping and following them around, not a main character but an assistant. When I was 10, I started roleplaying online on Neopets, and at 11 I found slave roleplay. I was instantly drawn to being a slave, especially to being kicked around and hurt, someone cruel dominating my character. The more I roleplayed, the more I enjoyed it. When I was 15, I was into sexual roleplay, and discovered what BDSM and Gor were. From that point on, I've been interested in being a sub, in BDSM. By 16 I started studying real world safety and application of BDSM in relationships, and in December of this year had my first real-world BDSM scene. Now I'm nearly 18 and can't wait to go to my first munch.

*sighs* Geeze. To be honest, I just always was. It was vampires. Heck, I walked around with a copy of "The lost boys" when I was three. Who needs Barney?! We have all the blood thirsty vampire right here! Heh. And the fantasy just grew as I got older. First it was just the fascination with them and then it was the more sadistic kind that stuck with me. Once I was old enough, I started with reading, fanfics, erotica, you name it. And I always preferred the BDSM spin on things. I just never made the connection until the scene was pointed out to me. I just always seemed to fit in.

Always been this way inclined, might grow out of it, but it seems unlikely at the moment. I played with these sorts of things before there was any greater significance, and enjoyed them for as long as I've been old enough to be sexual.
I find it philosophically interesting and emotionally exciting too.
Things are good. Glad to be a dom'.
