I liked how Wulfgar was off on his own trying to figure out who he is and where he's planning on heading off in life. He seemed lost and a very bad character.

First hint of the person in the impenetrable dark corners i knew it was Bregan Daerthe.

Thilled that Jarlaxle is back with B.D. and Kimmuriel, though I am still bummed how things ended with Entreri in the Sellswords.

Was sad that Catti-brie wasn't in it too much, just the beginning.

I didn't like it at first how Regis and Drizzt were being centered around, but after a while I enjoyed following just those two.

Morik seemed to goody two shoes to me in this book.

Pissed that Deudermont died, and I would have loved to see Robillard, like you said Suge, burn down Luskan. SERVES THEM RIGHT!!!

I love Robillard, so I was appalled on how skipped over he was by Salvatore.

I DID NOT LIKE how Salvatore tainted the Longsaddle and the Harpells, though I loved the fact that he added them in randomly.

I did like how Drizzt and Regis were nomads sort of. I wanted to see them like this and I now have. I just wish Catti-brie was with them.

I don't like Kensidan. I thought he was just being manipulated, though he was, by Bregan Daerthe.

I like how the Hosttower was destroyed, but not how the city of Luskan was devestated. Luskan reminds me of Las Vegas and I had the image of photoshopping Vegas onto a beach pic and saying something like, "Luskan, ._______________" I don't remember what I wanted to say....*sigh*

I enjoyed how Jarlaxle acts towards Drizzt, sort of like in a uncle or godfather way. I love that he took the scrimshaw of Guenhwyvar and Drizzt.

What I thought was out of character for Drizzt was on his and Regis's way back from Icewind Dale to Luskan, at the barnhouse talking to the woman about Luskan, he introduced himself, EXACTLY how Jarlaxle pretended to be Drizzt. Very odd. You don't see Drizzt act like that before or after.

I liked how in this book, Salvatore made Drizzt vulnerable. He wasn't an invincible fighting machine that wins every battle.

I also liked in the end when Jarlaxle told Regis, "I didn't know you were going to fall off." I laughed at that.

I liked how Regis was like, "OH lookie here, a rhyming dwarf" or something more vague when he and Drizzt first encounter Athrogate and also Regis wondering if he ever shuts up with his rhyming.

I enjoyed Drizzt and Regis together more than Wulfgar and Drizzt in Icewind Dale when they were wild and went into a cavern full of beasts.

That's it for now. ^_^

I agree for the most part.

Personally I liked what he did with the Harpells. It made perfect sense and it fit in well. The trilogy is called Transitions for a reason. Everything is changing. Orcs are suddenly allies, Wulfgar is running off to find himself, Cattie-brie is a wizard, Luskan is a Pirate town, Duedermont is dead, etc. etc. etc. The Harpells fit in really well with this and I liked how he kept comparing what happened in Longsaddle to what was going on in Luskan.

I'm also glad Deudermont died. He should have. The story was obviously leading up to a realistic ending with an obvious lesson. Idealism doesn't work. It's also just nice because its always been ridiculous how few people die in Salvatore's books.

I hope we see a lot more Robillard in the future. I rather think we will considering the way Salvatore saved him, and the fact that the lich is obviously coming back at some point. Rob needs to kill his a**!

I have to agree tenfold about Kensiden. He was a little b***h, and I woulda loved to see Jarlaxle stab him in the back at the end or something.

As far as Drizzt and Regis running around I totally agree that it needed Cattie Brie. Regis, despite the change in his character over time, is still quite useless. It seems like the majority of the time Salvatore has Regis do something helpful its either through his pendant or sheer luck, and for what good he does he causes more trouble by needing protecting.

I just hope that Salvatore keeps bringing back characters, because I want to see the Cadderly crew 3nodding

yes i agree that regis is pretty uselss still..but i think he adds something.. dont you?

i mean he's entertaining atleast!

i also wanted cattie-brie in the beginning even thouhg im excited that shes a wizard now. i think that it would be cool if robillard helped with teaching her...cuz i dont know why but i dont like alustriel mas much as robillard...robillard is much more....fierce XD even though he cant produce a flying chariot.

You know with Deudermont dying, and Robillard being free of the Sea Sprite, he might do just that (teach Catti-brie).....dunno just a thought.

And I understand the Transitions with the Harpells, it saddens me, but I'm accepting....begrudgingly....

I like Deudermont's idealism, but it does get tiring after a while.

I'm excited to find out how Luskan grows into a Pirate town...sort of like a Las Vegas as I already stated.....lol

I hope Jarlaxle is in the next one too, but this time runs around with Drizzt and Catti-brie, though I doubt that will happen.

I will say that I was hesitant when I found out that Catte-brie was going into magic, but after only a few years she seems to have it down pretty well (and quickly I might add)
