Um...all I know is that the book takes place 2 years after The Orc King. ^_^

I'm a little over halfway through at this point. I can't tell if its terrible, or the best book Salvatore has written...
Basically he has gotten in to the habit of skipping past things. Time jumps. Like 3 days of battle will go by, 3 days I as a reader would have liked to have heard more about, and instead he just skips past it to continue the storyline.
So that really annoys me.
At the same time I can see why he does it. This book would be 2 books if he didn't skip that stuff because of how THICK the story itself is. I'm still not sure I fully understand what is going on, but he's incorporated A TON of characters in to this one grand scheme, and who seems to be pulling the strings has changed like 3 times already.
Lots of story and intrigue, not quite as much action.
I'll pass judgment when I finish, which should be soon.

Finished it. Pretty good stuff. I wish he could have spent more time on the end though. The tying up of the loose ends seems really rushed.

Ya. i hope jarlaxle is in the Ghost King though. ii think that would make it pretty snazzy :3 side note: i love kimmuriel and his sarcasm...which is why i love robillard too xd

i was kind of sad when Deudermont died crying and i think robillard should have burnt down Luskan...would have made for a pretty flashy ending smile

It would have been absolutely stupid had he lived somehow. but I agree Rob shoulda burnt down Luskan. Or at least thrown a whole lot of fire at Kensidan's place xp
