 Blue optics flared brightly letting out a startled squawk leaping backward, but managing to dig his claws into the ground before he launched himself off the edge of the cliff. freezing where he stood, staring at Starscream."... woh woh! Starscream, S'only me"He called to the seeker, sure he just startled him, but man, Starscream could look intimidating when he wanted to.

 Starscream shrieked again and slashed at the air between them with his talons. "I don't care!" he cried, his voice made more shrill by the echoes produced by the surrounding rocks. "Go away!"
A soft chirp startled him, and he bunched himself up further in the cave entrance in an attempt to keep one curious sparkling inside, but the curious youngling would not be deterred so easily and managed to peer around Starscream's foot with wide, innocent blue optics, the sunlight glinting off the visor over his forehead.

Alarmed by the defensive and intimidating position that Starscream was taking. shifting his weight a little more, before he found himself staring at the small face of... a Sparkling
Now that Jazz had a closer look, there was no mistaking, that was not an organic offspring. at least... not entirely. they didn't look fully mech, but from the scan's he was doing on what he was looking at, it was most definitely not Organic in build
"..." not sure what to say.

Starscream continued to hiss menacingly at Jazz, wanting to slash at him again but not daring to move with one of his sparklings underfoot lest he step on the tiny one. Inwardly, he was panicking, his spark seized in utter fear. In his spark, he knew Jazz would never harm the little ones, not Jazz, but so many things were going wrong in such a short amount of time, so many things were conspiring to hurt the seeker more and more, he couldn't function on anything but instinct, and his instinct gave him one command: protect his sparklings from anything, anyone.

Jazz Spent a couple more moment in shocked silence, just staring at the Sparkling, hearing the others chirping in the background,
Primus... how long has it been since he's seen a Sparkling... come to think of it he's -never- seen one! at least not a real one.
that of course raised the question... where did these come from? coming back to his senses, his head shifting up a bit as he looked back at Starscream, the seeker still hissing and... actually acting quite frightening, Jazz made sure to keep his distance."Are those... yours?"
he asked finally. shortly after he asked the first question then another one popped up... who else contributed in there creation. He certainly had a guess... seeing certain features that stuck out on the tiny Sparkling that was bold enough to peek out while his Matre postured and threatened.

"No, I'm sparkling-sitting out of the good of my spark!" was the instant, sarcastic response, but as soon as he snapped it, Starscream regretted it. This was...absolutely humiliating. Naturally, the one to be bold and peer around him would be the one which looked the most like Twincast. If Primus truly hated him so much, why didn't he just kill Starscream? Then again, putting him out of his misery would be too kind.
The sparkling peering around his matre just quietly and curiously chirped at Jazz.

So that's why Starscream was in such a rush... and acting so different. Though the way Starscream was acting toward him right now... Jazz though they were past that. at least, he hoped, the last time they had bumped into one another Starscream had actually been.... well, nice to him.
"Hey... M'not ganna casue any trouble," he reassured Starscream
looking back down at the Sparkling who was now chirping.

"Then why are you here?!" Starscream demanded. "Why did you follow me?!" He couldn't trust anyone - no one. The one mech he allowed himself to finally trust in vorns did this to him then abandoned him! No one else - never again. NEVER again.

"Ya didn't seem right, I tough somethin' might be wrong." He explained, knowing that's probably not a very good answer to give Starscream, but it was the truth.
lowering his gaze back down to the Sparkling, tilting his head a little before he glanced around, expecting to see the Patre somewhere around, the sparkling had Blue optics, it had to be an eobot, Jazz had enough faith in the Eobot's to still believe that he would still be around to help with his sparkling.
It was a little odd, Jazz wasn't sure why, but he felt a little.... disappointed, he supposed.

Weeks of stress, torment, pain, and humiliation all came crashing down on the seeker at once, his wings quaking on his back as he screeched in answer, "Of course I don't 'seem right' - I've been used and humiliated and abandoned with these constant reminders of how stupid and glitched I am!" He began shaking harder after his outburst, feeling even worse for blurting all that out.
Starscream's shoulders abruptly and noticeably stiffened at a series of chirps and whirs from behind him, the other three sparklings coming forward not only in response to how upset their matre was but also to paw at him for more food, their tiny beaks nowhere near strong enough yet to tear meat from the deer without him. He needed to get rid of Jazz soon so he could resume feeding them.

Shocked into silence at Starscream's outburst. getting enough information to answer a few more questions... vague answers, leaving him wondering about the details, but he had no justification to pry to deeply, especially with Starscream already this upset.
Optics not leaving the seeker, even as the chirping of the sparkling grew more frequent and urgent.
only by finally gathering himself back up from the shock. lifting his head up a little."you're alone?" he asked, most disturbed by that piece of information.

"Didn't I just say that?!" Starscream shrieked anew, shaking with rage and humiliation. This was mortifying enough without Jazz making him repeat how stupid he is, how pathetic. At the gentle pawing to his turbines, Starscream shuffled back a step to try to retreat into the cavern as well as keep his sparklings from trying to squeeze out from under him any further than they were already attempting. The first one was already further outside than the seeker was comfortable.

"Woh, woh, woh, calm down, S'alright. sorry, I'm just..." hesitates, not sure what he was feeling. saying any more on that might upset the seeker anyway."yeah ya said that, sorry."looks back down at the sparkling as Starscream moved further into the cave."Yo, uh, hey man is there anythin' I can do to help?" he asked, making himself a little more timid then he was to try and not give the impression that he didn't think Starscream could not handle it "I mean, since M'here an all,"

"Why should I trust you?" Starscream hissed, inwardly swearing at the way his voice wavered. "I finally let myself trust another mech for the first time since I fled Cybertron, and this happens! What makes you think for one second that I would trust you?!"

Frowns a little sadly... who slagged Starscream over this badly, he certainly had his guess, as much as he wanted to avoid jumping to conclusions. "Hey man, we've helped each other out before. I've never wanted to hurt anyone, and I really don't intend ta start..." pauses for a moment, not really expecting that to work on Starscream, but it was true at least."and uh, gatta admit, bit curious bout the little ones, ain't ever seen a Sparklin' before"
