User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The last several weeks were...a nightmare. Starscream had always had many reasons to hate himself, but now that was accompanied by the feeling of being the stupidest mech alive. Just once couldn't hurt, huh? He could trust Twincast, hmm? What harm could come of letting him in, huh? What could possibly go wrong, hmm? He had an answer to each one of those questions waiting for him back at his cavern in the mountains - four tiny bundles of claws and beaks, two of which looked far too much like Twincast for Starscream's liking.

As if that was not bad enough, he was now trapped in an utter nightmare - raising them by himself. Twincast had called him a defect, had said no one other than a glitched mech would Spark as the result of just one night with another. That was the last Starscream heard from him - all timid peeks into Twincast's cavern turned up fruitless, and it did not take a genius to figure out that the blue mech was avoiding him.

So, thoroughly humiliated and self-loathing, Starscream wanted nothing more than to leave the mountains altogether, feeling filthy and used every time he settled down to rest in his own cave since that was where Twincast took him, but...he had sparklings to worry about now, and winter was rapidly approaching. As young and as small as they were, they would die in this land's cold winter without the shelter of the cave, so Starscream begrudgingly admitted defeat - he would find a new home in the spring.

Right now though, they needed to be fed as did he, and that was where Starscream found himself currently - in the grasslands trying to hide amongst the tall grasses enough to capture the deer he had been watching for the last ten minutes. If stalking it didn't work, Starscream would simply take it from the air. It would be plenty for the sparklings' tiny fuel tanks and fusion generators to process, and he could eat the remainder.

User Image Things for Jazz were... well, fine, perfect, as they usually were. The arrival of more of his Eobot friends certainly had a hand in his good mood, and while it was not everyone of Jazz's friends back on Cybertron, Jazz was confident that more of them would come if they just waited.
He also found that there new organic home was a very pleasant place, the more he saw of it, the more fond he started to grow of it.

But, while he admired this new and very different world, his spark still had a fond connection to that of Cybertronian origins, namely his fellow Cybertronian.
Jazz liked making friends, he liked having friends, and he liked keeping friends, even if some were not nearly as easy to get along with as others. One in particular his possessor kept bringing up, the grumpy seeker who never seemed to let anyone close to him, something Jazz wondered about of course, though the most pressing thought he was hoping to have answered someday, is where the seeker was. Why.... it was last winter since Jazz had seen Starscream, he wondered if he was okay, still getting into trouble.

it was the most fascinating thing in his current life, curiosity over Starscream... and yeah... a little worry.
but~ this of coerce did not take away from Jazz's favorite pastimes, Music~ and Dancing~
Jazz was thinking about going to check up on Twincast, not a very pleasant Mech sometimes, but interesting in his own way, and still an Eobot.
having no idea that anyone could be hunting in the aria, to focused on his music and he trotted smoothly over the soft grass.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Starscream swore inwardly when he heard music. He knew who that had to be - who else could it be? He didn't have time to worry about that, however - the deer was getting nervous and ready to bolt. Either he pounced now or find something else, and it had taken him forever to find this one stupid animal.

With a shriek, Starscream leapt out of the grass and pounced onto the deer, the impact breaking its back immediately and giving him the time he needed to dig his talons into it and use his sharp beak to clamp down on its throat to finish it off. Primus he hated how messy these organic beasts were. It was going to take him hours to get all this blood out from under his talons.

User ImageA registering spark in his helm spike alerted him of an unusual sound in the environment, picked up over his music, what was interesting about it though, was that there was a familiarity with that frequency and pitch.
heightening his sensors, and smoothly lowering the volume of his music. Jazz's optics flickers as they guided his visors functions though different procedures, framing lenses snapping over his eyes a couple of times to enhance the magnification.
not long after he started scanning, he uncovered the location the noise originated from, and or course, large white and red wings sticking up into the air from the back of a like colored seeker.
Starscream.

A few more snaps of his lenses followed his mild surprise, it really had been a long time since he saw Starscream.
hitching on his usual friendly grin, he continued forward, getting within' hearing distance before he finally called out to him
"Yo, Survived the winter alright I see"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Starscream jerked slightly when he heard Jazz call to him, but, really, he should have expected that. Still, he didn't have time to sit and endure his presence - not today. His sparklings hadn't eaten since that morning since he was nearly running on empty after feeding them the night before when they emerged from their boxes. If he didn't feed them soon, they could get sick or even die, and despite the fact that they were a complete accident, he did not want that.

"Yes, I did," Starscream hissed in response as he lifted his head from the grass to glare at Jazz.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 16, 2008 11:53 pm

User ImageWooh, alright, so, not much has changed in his attitude, not much of a surprise there, but he could have sworn there was an extra n** of cold in that glare and tone of his.

"Well, cool, was a hard one."
Once again Jazz just grins pleasantly back at him, stopping as a conferable distance, but close enough to talk. looking down at the deer that Starscream freshly killed.
since coming to earth they have had to find different sourses of food, it wasn't exactly pleasent, but there systems were able to adapt there bodies enough to be able to survive.
Returning his gaze shortly up to Starscream.
"I ain't seen ya since last winter, was kinda wonderin' where ya got off to."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."...nowhere," Starscream hissed again. "Just trying to get by on this miserable dustball of a planet without clawing my own optics out." He sat back and gathered the deer into his talons. He was going to at least partially eat it now so it would have time to process during his flight back up the mountain, but he did not want Jazz asking questions - he was humiliated enough. "I'm in a rush, so..."
PostPosted: Fri Oct 17, 2008 12:21 am

User Imageooohhhkay, yeah Starscream really was more grumpy then Jazz remembered, then again, its been so long since Jazz saw him, maybe he was seeing him in a better light, after all the seeker was known for being dis-likable.
nothing Jazz couldn't handel though.
coming to the conclusion that something must be wrong, living on this planet was not easy, so the stress must be getting to Starscream.

"ah, well hey man, S'been a while since I've seen ya, anythin' I can help with? I ain't got anythin' to do really, we could catch up, see whats been goin' down with ya."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Starscream hissed angrily at Jazz. Primus, why would this mech not take a hint?! "I told you what, and I also said I'm in a rush!" he snapped, his wings tense and trembling slightly. No - he didn't want to be alone like this with another mech ever again - never again. He already let Jazz far too close to him last winter in the hot spring. In hindsight, considering what happened with Twincast, that night in the hot spring was now absolutely terrifying. How close had he been to making the same terrible, stupid mistake then? "I can take care of myself!" He quickly clamped his beak onto the deer and shifted his wings into flight mode to leave. He knew it would be slower than he liked, but there was no helping it - he was terribly under fueled, and the deer was surprisingly heavy. At least that meant it had plenty of meat on it to fill his fuel tank.

User Image"Aww C'mon" Jazz said when Starscream snapped at him, keeping his cool but taking a step back so he would not crowd the angry seeker.
Remaining quiet while Starscream continued to speak, staying patient and just watching, observing Starscream's behavior.
... something was wrong.
head jerking up when the white and red wings shifted into flight mode, taking back the step to stride forward,
"Star-" but it was to late, before Jazz could even finish Starscream was in the air, flying.... slower then normal because of the load, but still... Jazz could easily keep track of where he goes.

It took Jazz a while to debate with himself about his next coerce of action, he had two options, leave, and not bother Starscream... or follow him and see if he can help... against the seekers wishes... again.
well, Jazz didn't really like either option, but if there was something wrong with Starscream Jazz could feel absolutely horrible turning his back to it, Starscream didn't deserve that.

setting the thoughts aside once Jazz made up his mind, he nodded firmly to himself, and with a small pounce, got his momentum forward into a smooth run, great on land, and hoping it would help him keep up with Starscream's progress, while keeping enough distance as to not be detected right away.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Starscream tried to focus on the wind over his wings to relax himself, tried to lose himself in the simple joy of flying, but it was impossible, too many things going wrong lately for something so simple to fix it. He ate as he flew, knowing he was dropping some of the meat, but eating gave him something to focus on other than his problems at least for the short time it took him to fly back up the mountains to his cave. Once there, he landed slowly in front of his cavern and frowned at it when he heard soft chirps. He had half-sealed the entrance with large rocks early that morning after feeding the sparklings, not wanting to take the risk that they might wander off while he was gone.

User ImageJazz was a little surprised that Starscream seemed to be heading in the direction Twincast's cave was. for a moment there he wondered if that it where STarscream was headed, until his visor read the flier gaining more altitude, only to losing sight of Starscream shortly after around the mountain.

Jazz paused at the foot of the mountain, staring up at the rocky giant for a few moments, trying to think of how he would be able to find Starscream -now- when a splosh of something red, and a little chunky registered on his visor.
tilting his head curiously, the white mech strolled over to get a better look... meat... and according to these readings, freshly killed deer.
oh, perfect! Primus was helpin' out today.
clambering up the mountain, fairly easily, very agile and flexible, this was hardly an obstetrical for him. following the meat trail all the way up the mountain.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Back up," Starscream told the sparklings though he wasn't sure why he thought they would listen - if they could even understand him. He was very careful rolling the rocks away from the cave entrance, and with the last one out of the way, he had to quickly duck his head to nudge one of the little ones back into the cave, hissing a few reprimands until they all backed up further into the cave.

Once they were out of the way, Starscream turned back to the deer and dragged it inside. He knew, ideally, they needed half-processed food for better absorption, but the meat he already ate would not be ready to administer for at least another hour, so he began tearing the deer into scraps tiny enough for the sparklings, using his beak to give each little one a piece to eat. It would take them longer to process raw meat, but it was better than nothing and would keep them healthy.

User ImageJazz certainly made better time up the mountain then Twincast was able to. Having no difficulty navigating around the rocks, which was good for him, since he had a more difficult time trying to keep up with Starscream's trail, perking up whenever he saw another dropped scrap of meat that pointed him in the right direction.
He's not sure why he was doing this, it was clear Starscream wanted to be left alone, but he supposed he was just worried, not something he was able to help really.

leaping up and clambering himself easily up a ledge, grunting softly as the rock nearly gave out, and crumbled underneath him. Acting quickly Jazz dug his claws into more stable ground, and heaved himself forward with a smooth roll as the rock broke off completely and tumbled violently down the mountain.
his body hissing softly as they relaxed, looking down at where he nearly fell, before a very strange noise reached his audios.
chirping, young, soft chirping.
turning curiously, he didn't have to look long before he found exactly what was chirping, is seemed he had unknowingly stumbled just outside of a cave in the mountain, what Froze Jazz in surprise, was that Starscream was in that cave, with four, very tiny, probably newly born Eoghan.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Starscream was in the middle of cleaning blood from his face while the sparklings ate when he heard the loud tumbling of rocks outside. His wings immediately stiffened - it had to be Twincast. Who else would it be? Was he finally going to offer Starscream some help? Or...did he want to erase their existence? That last thought had Starscream on his feet in an instant, and he turned to face the cave entrance. However, he saw not a blue mech, but a white one - the one he thought he left behind in the grasslands.

Instincts he never knew he had made Starscream surge forward with a piercing shriek, lunging at Jazz with his talons splayed. He stopped short half out of the cavern, blocking the entrance and his sparklings from Jazz as he lifted his wings high on his back to make himself appear larger and more intimidating.
