"You like to travel? Me too. I like the challenge of a new area." He kept his head inclined toward her. "Maybe we could travel together a bit... I don't get much company." He felt a little embarrassed, but focused his senses on her, to properly judge her reaction to the offer. Perhaps she was as fascinated in him as he was to her.

Melpomene cocked her head at Zero's offer. "Well it's interesting that we both like to travel." She said smiling for once and wagging her tail lightly, "I..... I would very much like to travel with you." She paused for a moment once again feeling like she knew him. "Did we perhaps meet once before? In a life before this?" She asked.

Melpomene's question hit home. Zero felt flashes of déjà vu... Mainly emotions, rather than actual picture memories. He felt happiness, support, warmth on cold nights, like he'd never be alone again. It was nice... it was amazing.
He stood there gaping. He didn't know what to say. "...I'm know you... I really do. Like no one else...." He said uneasily, yet sure of himself.
"I just don't know how." He added with a little apologetic shoulder-shrug.
An idea hit him. It made his blood run cold, if that were possible.
"...Perhaps" He started to voice his theory, with a slightly unstable voice, "We knew each other when I was 'alive'... After all, I don't have memory of my 'life'...." Would she know about his past? Be able to bring back lost memories? He didn’t want to get his hopes up. It sounded too good to be true.

Melpomene wasn't expecting Zero's response and took a slight step back. "I thought I knew you....." She said looking confused, "Perhaps I did know you when you were 'alive'." She stared at him intently before shaking her head. All she thought when looking at him was how he reminds her of her mate. Sighing she shook her head once again. "I don't remember anything though." She said with a sad look, "But I do feel safe and ... alive is the best word for it, when I'm with you. Just like when I was with him."

His ears perked at her response. "With... him?" He questioned. "Who's him?" Maybe Zero only reminded Melpomene of someone, and she really didn't know him. Zero resisted a sigh. After all, in the back of his mind he knew it was unlikely she would have recognized him. He just couldn't resist hoping.
At least they could travel together for a little while. It might give them a chance to better grasp his déjà vu, and figure out why she made him feel this way; and vice versa.

Melpomene looked at Zero for a moment before sighing. She didn't want to talk about him but she felt that she should tell Zero. "Him is my deceased mate. He was with me for a long time until my so called curse struck. He died and my pack drove me away." She said shaking her head slowly. She hated talking about that time. It was the hardest and worst time in her life.
