Airi paused, noticing that Patch's eyes were tearing up. She smiled slightly as an excuse was made, but it didn't fool the cub. Waiting for a second, she hesitantly took a step forwards, before running up to the lioness and rubbing her head against her fur. "Thank you." Her small voice squeaked.

Kahawa whole face brightened up as he heard Airi's answer. "Welcome to the family Airi." He said with a warm smile. Seeing Patches emotions overreact made him awe. "You don't have to hide it love." He purred. He joined Airi rubbing Patch to comfort her.

"Why am I even crying," Patch said laughing and crying simultaneously. "I'm really happy" She stopped covering her eyes. She snuggled them back.

Airi giggled slightly at the sudden group hug. She felt elated, and her whole life seemed bright again. Sure, living on her own was fun, but there'd be plenty of time for that later. Right now she wanted someone to care for her and spoil her.
A deep purr rose up in her throat, rumbling through her entire body as she felt the fur of her new parents pressing against herself. This was going to be brilliant!

"Now there's one more thing you should know Airi," Patch said happily. "You have some brothers and sisters on the way any day now. In fact I should be headed to the temple soon. So, you're going to have lots of friends to adventure with." When she mentioned the temple she looked at Kahawa, reminding him that she'd be leaving soon, just incase he wanted to come along.
(Infact that might be a good way to end the RP, at the temple)

(yea thats a good idea ^^)
"Right the temple, I almost forgot!" Kahawa said when Patch reminded him of it. They should have tot travel to it soon and pray to the great Zahina. "And I'm going with you. Don't want anything to happen to you with that huge belly." He chuckled.

Airi's ears shot up as she flicked her tail from side to side in excitement. "Really?" Her eyes were shining as she glanced down and noticed Patch's swollen belly. "That'll be fun!" She pondered for a second. She'd only heard tales about the temple before, and remembered it very vaguely because she'd been born there, but she didn't know anything concrete about it. "Can you tell me about the temple?"

Patch tried to dig up memories of the temple. She really had no idea about the temple at all, besides the fact that it was tradition for Zahina's followers to venture to it during pregnancy. She never remembered being there at birth. Perhaps her mother never went to the temple. After all, if she was abandoned at birth at the temple the temple caretakers would have taken care of her. No, she was sure she was born away from the temple. This only made it so much more important to go to see this temple and give her kids a good start.
"Hmm. I presume it is for prayer and health purposes. To pray to Zahina and Zolua for the children's health and a healthy not so painful birth. Also to thank them for the beautiful bundles of life. Zolua, I believe, is the trickster God of Fertility," Patch said, "I don't know for sure what the temple looks like, but if it's a place where the gods directly touch the earth it must be beautiful."

Airi's eyes were wide as she listened. At the end, she titled her head to one side slightly. "That sounds cool." Suddenly, she leaped up to her paws and batted gently at a leaf that had fluttered in front of her face. A fierce look of concentration filled her face as she aimed to try and catch it. Leaves were difficult, you never knew which way they would blow next, completely the opposite from butterflies.
With one last attempt, she managed to rear up on her small back legs and catch the leaf between her two front paws. With a victorious grin, she sat back down. "When do we go? Soon? Now? Later?" A buzzing curiosity has the cub gripped, the temple sounded like an amazing place to explore!

Patch watched Airi aim for the leaf, rooting her on in her head.
She then stood effortlessly, as if the pain all went away. Now was probably the best time to start for the temple, before the pain returned or intensified. "Let's go now, while we're full of energy and excitement," she announced. She was about to offer to race but then she remembered she was not in a good condition for that. After the birth Patch could resume her old playful habits.

Airi's eyes shone, "Really? Alright, let's go!" Her tail twitched playfully, and her paws itching in anticipation of the long journey. Suddenly, a playful grin spread over her small face. "Race ya to that tree, Kahawa!" With that, she sprinted towards the nearest tree, small paws working furiously and completely unsure of which direction she was heading in.
It felt good to run and be carefree again. Suddenly, she pulled up short of the tree. She didn't want to leave Patch behind, because somehow the cub wasn't sure she would run that well. Ears up and alert, she trotted back. "We'll get there safely, I'll scare off anything that tries to stop us!" She announced proudly, her mind carried away in fantasies of the journey ahead.

Patch had a big grin and she laughed. Airi was so cute and carefree. Then Airi came back. "You two can race a little bit. Don't worry about me. I thought it was cute and I'd like to see you two have some fun. I'm safe and happy just walking along and watching. But mark my words. When I'm felling better I'll give you two a race you'll never forget," Patch said happily. She nudged them both in a playful manner. "It's a good thing you're here to keep me safe Airi."

Airi grinned and nodded, before giving a sly look at Kahawa. Without a sound, she darted off as fast as she could, scampering down the path on small, clumsy paws. The breeze running through her rather short fur felt wonderful. This was where she belonged, wild and free as all lions were. It felt exhilarating.
She felt as though she could run forever. Her legs, although short, were strong from weeks spent living on her own. Her tail flew out like a banner behind her, the end of it almost as big as the small, blurry streak that was Airi's body. This felt perfect. She belonged. She could have fun again. She was safe.
