I don't know. Neither does he. I can't see his dreams, even though I try really hard. All I know is that he's afraid, and each time he wakes up he wants to get as far away from this place as possible. I still don't take him far, though the first few times we went maybe a day away before I turned back. Tempest wasn't lying, and it was the part that there seemed to be a block that worried him. Delame had never, in his whole knowing of Tempest, been able to block out anything Tempest wanted to see. These nightmares were different. He couldn't even get a glimpse, a second... At her description of good and evil, he gave a nod. Then you are the most good thing to ever walk the planet.

Delame let go of her arm soon as he was sure she wasn't going to collapse. "I forgot that babies kicked." he said after her 'ummm...', trying to make this a less awkward meeting. Well, he thought to himself, you messed that chance up ages ago, didn't you?

Maybe Ravea can help him. She has a really sharp tongue, but she is good at comforting. Alinta said with a reassuring nuzzle. Rustling her wings, she tilted her head to one side, looking thoughtful. Hmmmm... it must be something to do with humans. They do get really emotional about things. Do you have any idea what it is that he could be so terrified of? she asked curiously, preening a bit at his compliment. Thank you. You're very close, I think.

Ravea had to grin abashedly at that. "Yeah... I had forgotten too, until she-- or he, whichever it is!-- started on it a few months back," she confessed, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear as she eased herself into a sitting position on the bed. Wasn't she supposed to say something to start the conversation? Oh yes... "It's good to see you again," she said, hoping it was something like the right thing.

Maybe she can. I hope she can. His dreams are starting to bother me. He hasn't had a night without this nightmare running on a month now. As to what it is, I have my theories. To each one he reacts to the same amount of horror, and that's frightening as well, because I think I may not be hitting the mark. Or be anywhere near it. He watched her preen, smiling softly. She didn't need to do that, of course. She was already the most beautiful thing ever tio exist. Pure sunlight she was, golden glory, his Alinta. You're welcome. He said, nuzzling her softly.

"Wow. It seems so long ago. Any idea how much longer until it's supposed to be born?" Delame asked, wanting to sit beside her, but unsure of whether or not she'd want him to or not. "It's good to see you again, too. I missed you." It was the truth. So why, that little part of him nagged, did he leave at all? He didn't know why! He was afraid! Afraid? Of what?

I know she can! Alinta said confidently, possessed of the utmost faith in her bonded. Ravea could certainly be quite vicious when the occasion arose, but the changeling girl was also excellent at soothing the restless mind. Many was the time that she had calmed Alinta to sleep when the wyrm was a hatchling. She'll make him sleep. And knowing her, she'll just fall asleep right next to him. Maybe they'll be good for each other. she mused, a rare look of thoughtfulness dominating her gold face. At the nuzzle, she crooned softly and edged closer. Yes, she had missed this attention greatly. I'm cold.

"It should be soon. If I get much bigger, I'll explode," Ravea grumbled, heaving a massive sigh. It had to be soon. Aliscia expressed astonishment on a daily basis when she failed to go into labor. It just had to be soon. His comment shocked her out of her thoughts, and she flushed a bit. "Ahhh... thanks. I've... missed you too. It's been kind of lonely, not to mention uncomfortable," she muttered, wrinkling up her nose in an expression of discomfort as the child gave her another sound kick.

They usually are good for eachother, aren't they? Tempest pointed out. He thrummed as she crooned, enjoying the happiness of being in her presence yet again. At her complaint, his tail curls aroun them, pulling her even closer to him. Cold? Can't have that.

He said the last part queitly, looking at the bonded to his wyrm's mate. He could shorten that to 'his mate', but... With a small mental sigh, he admitted to himself that it would be easier that way. "Well... it won't have to be lonely anymore... Because I want to stay. If you'll have me..." He looked at her, his dark blue eyes almost pleading.

Yes... except for when they're both reacting to pheremones. Alinta added with a quiet snort. She huddled closer to him, pondering in silence for a moment. You know... the sandpits here are very warm. she suggested hopefully, tipping her head in the direction of the caves.

If she wanted him... Ravea knew very well how easily she could say no. However, if she said 'no,' she would also be forced to raise their child on her own. Not to mention, Alinta would be absolutely unbearable if Tempest was gone. And-- yes, she would admit it-- Ravea was beginning to grow rather fond of the boy... young man... whatever. "I suppose you can stay," she muttered, trying not to sound too eager for the company.

Well then, we should find you a sandpit. Tempest said, nuzzling her softly. We can't have a cold Alinta. Ever. He started to slither towards the cave, waiting for her to come along.

"I can stay?" Delame's voice was hopeful, his eyes lighting up. "You don't mind?" That made him happy, but he felt his heart seem to grow cold. He seemed shocked by this revelation, though he tried to keep it from too much showing.

Alinta followed without a moment's hesitation, practically prancing in her excitement. We can't have a cold, uncomfortable Tempest either. You'll like the sand. It's very soft. When Ravea feels better later, she promised me a grooming. Maybe she can groom you too. Grooming is very nice. the young wyrm babbled happily, pointing with a wing in the direction of 'her' claimed sandpit.

"No, I don't mind. Just... don't go running off like that, okay?" Ravea replied a bit impatiently, not pleased with the child's kicking. She huffed with frustration and then patted the bed beside her. "Well... come on. I don't bite," she added, trying to keep a loose connection to Alinta. She didn't want the wyrm to admit anything potentially embarassing.

Tempest followed after her, grinning happily. He felt something cold from the other end of his bond, and that worried him. He reached out to Delame, wanting to ask what was wrong, but he didn't want bad news. Not when he was here with her. He dimissed it. He'd speak with his human about it later. I bet it is very nice.

"I'll never run off again," Delame said, sitting beside her, "if you only say so." He looked down at her round stomach, tempted to reach out and see if he could feel the kicking.

Alinta reached her sandpit and fairly threw herself in, wallowing happily about in it. Come on! Plenty of room! she said cheerily, scratching about for a comfortable position. She stopped when he was quiet for awhile, giving him a quizzical look. Fluffbutt? What's wrong?

"You better not. I'll make you listen to Alinta's whines of loneliness," Ravea said, though her voice was thoroughly lacking in much threatening tone. She sincerely wanted to lecture him for leaving her alone with a miserable pregnancy, but somehow, she just couldn't. Damned pregnancy was playing tricks with her mood again. She saw him gazing at her stomach, and she had to sigh a bit. Shy as ever, he was. "Go ahead," she said, touching the side of her belly.

He watched as she dove into the sand, giving an awkward flap of his wings and leaping in as well, being careful not to hit her. Nothing's wrong! Not especially since he would get to stay! That was just gut feeling, nothing needed from Delame's end to confirm it.

"You think Alinta's bad, you should have to listen to Tempest. I don't think a day goes by where he doesn't spend an hour's time looking for you." It was a small lie. Tempest had stopped that when he'd started having nightmares. "Okay." He said quietly, reaching out and laying a gentle hand on her belly.

Alinta crooned happily and moved to snuggle against him, making sure to not ruffle his feathers. Nothing? You were awful quiet. she commented, gently folding her wings against her sides and nestling into the sand.

Ravea had to smile. Wyrms... such difficult creatures. So hard to please. "Alinta was constantly looking. Even when I couldn't fly with her anymore, she went out on searching forays to try to find you both." She gave a sigh as the child kicked against Delame's palm, resting her hand atop his. "I can't even begin to describe how tiresome this is," she commented, pale eyes betraying her fatigue. "I can't get a decent night's sleep anymore."

Tempest crooned softly as she snuggled close to him, reminded of when she'd been ever so tiny, hugging him gently. Before she could fly. Before he'd met Ravea. He remembered the day he had met her bonded, and he even had a scratch on his face to prove that he'd met her. He and Alinta had been cuddled up, and she'd come flying outta nowhere, doing damage to his face until Delame'd gotten her to stop.

"Tempest had to quit the search each day. He has two eggs to take care of, and I think one of them is near to hatching." He was a tad bit startled as he felt something hit his palm. Well, there was onyl one thing it could be. "Well, it should be over soon. If it comforts you any, I haven't been getting decent rest either."

Alinta yawned, opening her sharp-toothed mouth has wide as it could possibly go without completely dislocating. Yawn finished several seconds later, she nestled herself back into the sands next to Tempest, tailtip twitching just a bit. Whatcha thinking about? she asked curiously, one golden eye watching his face. Better not be another female! she added teasingly.

"Eggs? Tempest is caring for eggs? They better not be his own, or Alinta will have a fit," Ravea remarked, not adding that if Delame were caring for any other children of his making, she would smack him too. Grunting quietly and squirming to get into a more comfortable sitting position, the young woman sighed again, rather reluctantly leaning against Delame's shoulder-- not too much, but enough to make her feel more secure. "You haven't been sleeping well either?"

Another female? Don't be absurd. No other female is capable of making me a happy Tempest. The wind wyrm stretched his wings wide, yawning himself. I was actually thinking about the day I met your bonded. She wasn't too happy to meet me. His mental voice held a chuckle.

"Of course they aren't his. First thing, he'd die before leaving Alinta. Second, wyrms can only have one mate, remember?" Delame said, smirking. "He found the eggs in the sand pits, abandoned by their mothers. He took them under his wing." He let her lean on his shoulder, not minding in the least. "No, I haven't been sleeping well. I can get to sleep... but when I awake I wish I hadn't."
