Rashal grinned for a second at the compliment, then sobered up. "Unfortunately, yes, I have. The people back home didn't like me much." He stuck his hands in his pockets and took a slow kick at the ground. He thought for a moment, then sprung back up, lively as ever. "But that doesn't matter now. I'mma get a brand new start out here!" He threw his arms into the air, and fell backwards against the cold, hard ground, hugging himself on the way down. Then he looked up at the people around him. "...Too dramatic?"
He tilted his head to look at the flitter as it popped into view. "I dunno, Epee... Looks like it's right side up to me." But, then again, everything else was upside down, so maybe his view on it was just a wee bit distorted...

Zaira turned as Rashall fell hugging himself to the ground. Oh contrair (sp?) good sir. Not dramatic enough!" She said bracing herself. She took a step forward and launched herself backwards into a backflip and landed on the ground sideways...partly on Rashall... Noticing that her legs landed on Rashall's legs she sat up quickly and pulled herself together. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that at all! Are you okay?" Her voice went from worried and quick to slow and concerned. She squatted next to him and pulled out the small container of numbweed she had stored in her belt pouch, which she carried incase she fell from a high tree. "Are you okay Rashall? I really am sorry. I have numbweed if I hurt you." Twitter fluttered down from the tree and landed on Rashall's chest eyeing him closely. Giving a churup of encouragment he leaned back on his hind feet and spread his wings for balance.

L'von watched the candidates tumbling through the trees. At least they aren't afraid of heights, like some candidates are. When he heard Rashal reply to him, he replied, "That makes sense. Trying to figure everything out before the impression. Putting you ahead of the other candidates..."
L'von looked over at Zaira, and then back at Rashal and asked. "So, what's with the two of you? Are you from the same area, or just met today?"
Just as L'von said that, felt a small pressure on his shoulder and saw Hero sitting there. He reached up, and rubbed his green fire lizard's belly and smiled.

Rashal scrunched up his nose at the numbweed. "Bah," he said roughly. "I don't need any numbweed. You barely hit me, anyway. He looked at Twitter. "You expecting something from me?" he asked, eyeing him back.
Rashal looked up at L'von as he spoke. He thought for a moment, trying to catch if there was anything accusing in the question. He didn't think there was, but things like that had ended well in the past, regardless of how he had answered. "We met today," he said. "Just curious?"

Zaira smiled when she found that Rashal wasn't hurt. She gave a shocked gasp as he said that they had only met today and she bopped him on the back of the head. "You promised that you wouldn't keep our relationship a secret anymore!" She said to him in an exaggerated voice and put on a sad face. Twitter landed on her shoulder and gave her a comforting face rub with his head as she looked to the ground with a wiced smile on her face that only Rashal, still being on the ground I think, could see.

(They aren't actually in the trees, Mandy. xD They're on the ground.)Epeelyn moved away from Rashal and Zaira, feeling safer beside the weyrling. He didn't have two tussling people beside him, and she felt like she was less likely to get hit if she stood with him. He also seemed just a bit more sane, as well, she thought as she eyed Zaira. Taking her attention from them, she looked at L'von's flitt. "Oh! You have a green? I have one too, though she's off with my bronze doing who knows what." she said to him with a grin.

Rashal gave a grunt and quickly reached backwards, grabbing the arm that had struck him. "Hit me again, and I swear..." He left it at that. He had broken someone's arm on accident, twisting it to try and keep it away from him. He knew what could cause a break, but he really preferred to not have to do it. "And what are you talking about? What relationship? Stop spreading lies, woman!"

"Yes, her name's Hero, Epee." L'von responded and then asked, "Do you mind if I call you that?." Then he continued, "My adoptive parents told me they found her protecting the basket I was abandoned in as a newborn. She hardly leaves my side." L'von rubbed Hero's head happily, and smirked at Epeelyn's response about her firelizards.
Then he looked from Rashal to Zaira confused at their differing responses. "Are the two of you joking around? Or is there some type of relationship going on. "
As Rashal grabbed Zaira's arm, Hero chirped angrily and L'von stepped in between the two younger candidates. "Hey Rashal! Don't let me catch you doing that again." he said angrily, and then added "Don't let the Weyrmaster catch you doing that either."

As Zaira felt her arm go behind her she twirled around on the ground and grabbed Rashall's knife from his belt, I think he has a knife. With the knife in her clasped hand she crushed him with her weight as she rolled over him and grabbed her own knife. Placing the hand that he held with his knife in it to his throat and her other hand with her knife to his back. She placed him, in what would be for us, a choker hold and leaned in to whisper in his ear. "If you knew anything about me. You'd know that I can fight. I can kill you quicker then you can react but the way you grabbed my arm just now. I'd say you can as well. We must spar sometime." She had slowly got louder as the threatening part of her whisper died away. She liked Rashall, she didn't know why but she did. Then a firelizard parted them and she laughed. Handing Rashall back his knife and replacing hers in her holster she stood and offered him a hand.

Rashal looked at L'von quizically. "Me?" he asked. "I grabbed her arm in self defence, and she just attacked me with two knifes. And you're telling me to go easy?" He took the knife back roughly, shoving it back in its holster. He looked at Zaira. "I wouldn't spar with someone who takes the cheap shots you do. I only defend myself from people like you." He turned his head quickly to the side, and there was a loud popping noise as his neck cracked. He turned it back the normal way, and rubbed the back of his neck. He was starting to wonder if coming out here was a bad idea. He didn't like being in fights, even if he did know how to get out of them safely...
