Vash Sengou
His opponent would be displeased at the miscalculation of his swat/parry and his fans back home would have stood in preparation to cheer only to sit down in frustration at the miss of a "touchdown." It was all due to a slight miscalculation. His opponent was aiming for the revealed portion of his arm with the idea in mind that he was going for yet another jab while being cautious of any further tricks Vash may employ. The issue with this was Vash's arm never extended fully which ment the unarmored portion of his arm never became available for his opponent as it would have if he had extened it out fully, thus causing the strike to hit his armor arm instead. A similar miscalculation would save him here.
Jeez, today was just his lucky day in terms of near death escapes. So far he had managed to escape them all using quick wits and his heighted reaction time, but this one was just too close to escape without any damage done. His opponent had executed an almost flawless manuver that if timed perfectly would have left him in a world of pain and disorientation for a few moments. What saved him was that his opponent fired a bit too early. You see, his driving upwards that was supposed to take him to his ultimate doom would only occur only after he had a secure grip around his opponent with his left arm. Yes, his blast was too early. Being that he dropped his head, the only hint he had was the red light that was emitted. Of course Vash knew something was up and would move accordingly, shifting his body and head to the left and abandoning his idea of wrapping his arm around his opponents body and firing up. By this point he had already halted his opponents strike with the blade so he had no worries for an attack from that blade. Sadly, he didnt have enough time to fully escape the blast. The burst of energy collided with his right shoulder, hitting it hard and he'd deffinatly be feeling sore for a little while. Luckily the force wasnt greater than that of an axe kick or hed probbaly be looking at some kind of dislocation.
Vash knew, for now, it was a better idea to back up than to stay ontop of his opponent like he was but he wouldnt leave without a parting gift. Pushing, back with both legs as he gritted his teeth from the pain of the burst, he triggered his left gauntlet as the fingers of the gloves moved just over his opponents spine. In doing so be shot a second burst, this time through direct contact and in a wave fashion, through the fingers of his gauntlets. This attack was positioned directly upon his opponents spine and even though the voltage (15,000) and milliamperage (13) was not to cause any large amount of damage, it would hurt his opponent like hell especially with it being just over the spine. A nice departing gift as he moved away from the attempted immitation of superman his opponent was trying to do. Vash would continue to backpeddle, moving him quickly towards his dropped bag. His right arm, depending on the continuation or not of the beam would either be blocking its path with his gauntlets or readied to do so if it were needed to despite the pain he endured. Meanwhile, his left hand moved into the pouch at his side.

As Vash charged forward and lowered his head Elliot would release a brilliant red torrent of concussive force from his eyes, opening the apertures so that the blast pretty much consumed the entire top of his face (nose, eyes, and foreheard area).

The blast would collide with Vash's dome bearing greater force than a roundhouse kick. Vash was fast, but let's see him dodge a laser he was running face first into.

BeepBeepBeep. Back it up.
The driving upwards wasn't where Elliot's concern would lie, it was the fact that neither of Vash's hands were available to some how block the attack, though not like it would matter.
If Vash's saving grace had been the fact that he saw "a red glow" he was out of luck, since light and lasers pretty much travel at the same speed, both reaching him at the same time. In other words, by the time Vash would see the attack coming he would be boarding his train to Knockoutsville, but there were several other factors at play here as well. For one, they were at point blank range, probably a foot away leaving Vash with no time to make any sort of movement, even if he could somehow see it. Vash's speed would hamper him as well. He had been coming toward Elliot with every bit of his super-human speed, meaning his body's momentum was committed to going forward. For him to dramatically change direction and move so far to the left would have been extremely difficult. Between the distance, and Vash's motion it would have been difficult to dodge a spitball, let alone a beam of concussive force from the optics of the "Cyclops" imitator. Finally, even if Vash had managed to beat these outstanding odds, Elliot hadn't stopped firing the beam, meaning he was still able to adjust his attack. Since the beam came from his eyes, it would only take a glance and a slight pivot of his head to compensate for his opponent's movement, and surely Elliot's eyes were faster than Vash's whole body, though then again who knows. But even still, Vash could only shift his body so far before he ran out of room.
Either way, there were two scenarios at hand, one left Vash reeling in pain from being hit point blank with a laser, another had him dead, as movements that fast would cause the air's friction to burn the flesh off his bones. More than likely though, Vash would be taking in the face like a teenage hooker.
Once the attack went through Elliot would launch a right kick "This is Sparta" style on Vash's lower gut just above his waist, likely knocking the b*****d flat on his a**. The Cuban grimaced as he stood over the defeated man.
"This's for Gab."
His words of revenge were short and to the point as he lifted his right hand, pointing it like a gun before constructing a hologram to make it look the part. Elliot would then unleash his coup de grace. Rather then finish him with one large concussive blast, Elliot would spray him with lots of smaller, yet equally painful ones. The hologram-gun would rain "concussive bullets" on Vash's chest, stomach, and arms. They wouldn't break the skin but would sting as if they had, merely bruising instead, since killing was against the rules. Emptying the last of his reserved charge, Elliot would be able to pop off alittle more than a dozen shots
"PeuyoopPeuyoopPeuyoopPeuyoopPeuyoop!!!"
"Not so fast now, eh?"
