Nathan got up and with a sly smirk on his face.

"As you wish Prelate. Good evening."

He pretty much knew that the Prelate would deny him access to Warren so he would just have to lead Warren to him. That should be easy enough to do given the young man's interest in the prophecies.

Adopting a scowl and a look of consternation Nathan went back out of the tent to deal with the Sister's scolding.

Nathan was definitely glad that he had brought along some books of prophecy that the Prelate didn't know about. He could scatter them around where Warren would easily find them and he could lead him back to the source bit by bit. Then he could give the young man the training he needed. Nathan was definitely glad the Sisters had no inkling that he could take off the Rada'Han whenever he felt like it.

NPC-One of the Sisters in charge of watching Nathan scowled as he approached. She put her hands on her hips. "And just where have you been? You can't just go wandering off whenever you feel like it! This will not be tolerated Nathan."

Warren woke up in the dead of night. he assumed it was about 2 hours before dawn due to the minimal noise outside. However, the noise within his head was deafening. He had woke from another of his nightmares, but this one was much worse than most. He had seen blood, lots of blood, and what looked like the dreamwalker's banner too close for him to be outside the armies main camp.

The noise in that camp never stopped, he could hear wailing in the distance and screams of pain...and pleasure. He knew without a doubt that those screams were the men having "fun" with the whores that Jagang provided them. he realized the blood was his own, it was dripping from a cut on his brow into his eyes. He could feel the sting of the collar around his neck worse than ever and fell forward as he was shoved from behind.

A gruff voice behind him said "Get up, runt, before i get of the mind test my blades sharpness on your skin." Warren got up as quickly as he could and continued along the path the unknown man behind was forcing him along. He could see Jagang's tent drawing nearer and nearer. He heard a loud roar of what he figured was the crowds responce to someone's pain in ja la da jin. He passed by what was obviously the torture tents by the screams from within, many of them sounding so familiar.

He was now at the emperors tent and the voice said "You will be of great use to the emperor, and his witches. If they can't have the books, they'll take one better." Warren struggled to hear him over another roar of the crowd in the distance.

That was when warren woke from his dream that felt like so much more. whatever he did, he knew he would not be getting back to sleep this morning. He moved from his tent to the nearest fire, hoping to rejoice in the warmth, and the company of anyone who may be awake.

Nathan scowled just as hard back at the sister just because he could.

Now that he knew where things stood he needed to formulate how to get access to Warren. Nathan suspected that Ann would be doing her level best on top of all of this chaos to keep Nathan away from the boy. Nathan cared for Ann deeply but sometimes her obstinate meddling was tiresome.

After being escorted back to his tent Nathan took off his Rada'han and sat down and created some ink and a pen. Carefully he pulled out one of the books of prophecy that he brought with him.

Considering carefully he chose the one to do the least amount of harm. He then carefully pulled out the pages with those that could do any harm. When he got the book back he could put the pages back in good as new and only he himself would be the wiser as to what had happened.

Nathan then put a wizard's web on the book to make it look like an ordinary book of instruction and anyone who opened it would see a regular book of instruction. Only Warren's touch could break the web, that or Nathan himself having undone it.

Nathan then took up the pen and wrote out "Property of Warren." on the bottom of the first page. He made sure the handwriting looked rushed and nothing like his own. Carefully hiding the books and then the pages so that he would not lose them Nathan put back on the Rada'han and stuck his head out the tent flap.

"Excuse me Sister but could you or someone else escort an old man to the latrines? Getting older does a number on your system and mine just doesn't work like it should."

Once at the latrines Nathan pretended to take care of business and went back to the Sister watching over him.

"Scuse me Sister I found this book of instruction and I think the young man is goin to be terribly put out if he finds out he lost it. Not to mention adding more stress to everyone's plate. Could you please make sure it gets back to him?"

Nathan smiled his most winsome smile at the Sister before marching resolutely back to his tent. Nathan knew that the book would end up on the Prelate's desk before it got to Warren but that was fine. Ann is the only Sister to be able to recognize the webs that Nathan cast on the book and even then she would have to study it hard to recognize them. In this busy state she'd give it a cursory glance at best before passing it on.

Once back in his tent Nathan lay down and tried his best to catch some sleep. Even for him it had been an exerting day.

NPC-Ann looked up as one of her administrators stuck her head into the tent.

"Excuse me prelate, but this book was found. It seems to have been misplaced by its owner."

"well then why are you standing here talking to me about it?" Ann replied. "Give it back to whoever owns it."

"Yes Prelate, but you said you wanted to know about anything having to do with Nathan. And, well, Nathan was the one that found it." The sister stammered.

Ann sighed. That man was no end to trouble. "Give it here then." She took the book and flipped it open. On the front page, scrawled untidily was the words "Property of Warren." She flipped through the rest of the book and did not see anything alarming, however, seeing as Nathan had just come and requested talking to the boy, she was suspicious. She also did not have time to deal with it right now. The book looked harmless enough, and she should have known that the boy would try to bring at least some with him. He was lost without books. She sighed again. "Take it to Warren, Sister. It looks alright and looks to be his. Make sure it gets back to him."

The sister nodded. "Yes, Prelate, right away. Sorry for bothering you about something so triffle." She back out of the tent and headed to where she knew the young mans tent to be to give him the book.

Warren was suprised to awake by the fire. mostly for having fell asleep again, but part of it from not waking from another dream. He walked over to a pot set up with some food and took what he could to try to warm up his mind.
Still in a daze from his deep sleep he wandered to his tent to find that someone had opened the flap and left a book there. as warrem reached for the book he could swear he saw the letters changing places but thought it must have been his immagination.
Warren started to leaf through it, not thoroughly reading anything just glancing. He wondered where this book had come from but figured it must have been something he took with him without realizing it. coming to this conclusion he started to look at it more closely and realized that it was a book of minor prophecies
Now warren began to get suspicious. he had basically memorized all the prophesies he had brought with him, and he knew he had not brought this book. Though he was glad for the new material, he had no idea where it came from, or if anything was falsified in it.
Warren wondered if he should bring this to the prelate, but realized than he would be down a book of prophecy, and something to do so he would read through it, and try to figure out where it came from.
