Romani looked him over critically for a moment and shrugged, sighing. "Oh well. The underdesert is significantly cooler, but so is the north." She smiled, humming. The fur around her pawrist where it had sunk into the sand was once more clearly full of sand, having absorbed every grain the fur came into contact with like a sponge.

She hummed, glancing around, but eventually shrugged. "Oh, well. Best not to tempt fate, anyways. There's no marker here, so it's probably not safe. I should really look for those before I think about jumping in, huh?" She looked back at Smokey as though HE thought any of this made sense. Even though he clearly didn't. "Well, it's not always dangerous. There's a series of caverns and tunnels that run under the desert, that can sometimes be found through a sandtrap. Other times, it's just a plain old sandtrap." She chuckled softly and shrugged, stiffening her ears again.

She tilted her head up at the sky briefly. "... Wind feels odd..." She muttered, and pranced forward a bit before rolling through the sand. She dug a tunnel of her own under some of the sand not involved in the sandtrap and... Well... Bathed in desert. When she'd finished, she stood again, sighing up at the sky. She didn't shake, as most who were now saturated with sand would, but seemed as though she'd just plucked herself from a cool lake. "Ready?" She asked, smiling back at Smokey. "The wind's goin' East, most of the time, so this should be heading North... I think." She thought a moment. "East is towards the big green place, right?"
