Hi everyone, My name's Menma, or the name I took to replace my all to common name of Kevin. I actually tried to learn Japanese last year, picked up a few books and tried to learn it in my free time... Well that failed since I found it is EXTREMELY hard to learn two languages at the same time (I'm also learn german, different story though). I did manage to learn a few things about the language. I love Japanese actually and plan on going there one day with all of my friends (literally me and most of my friends will learn japanese and go there) And I joined because I saw it on my feeds list from one of my friends and I was like "Hm... Interesting, I should check this out" and so here I am.
Hi Inugo! (Yup, he's my friend that joined) and sorry this turned out so long.

始めまして!私の仇名は鴉です。日本語のべんきょうを三年しますが、ちょっと日本語をはなします。私はこう校四年生です。来年の夏に日本へ行きたいな!どうぞよろしくおねがいします!
Nice to meet you! My nickname is Raven! I've studied Japanese for three years, but I can only speak a little bit of it. I am a High school senior. I want to go to Japan next summer! Pleased to meet you all!

I'm pretty sure that intro said much. I used as much as I know from my Japanese course at my Highschool. Anyway, I am the ONLY third year student in the entire school since sadly, my comrades dropped. Basically, I don't get my own class period, but it's all good. I am the Vice-President of my school's Asian-Japanese Culture Club, even though I am of full Mexican descent (Wierd, ain't it?) I have a great intereset in learning Japanese, and wish to expand my language as much as possible!

Uh, hi, I'm Warrax, I'm hoping to learn Japanese by coming here. I know very close to nothing about Japanese but the culture and the language are fascinating to me. I picked this particular guild precisely because its not too big. Uh, yes, thats it. sweatdrop Um, whats next I wonder.

I agree. Asian art, particularly traditional Japanese, is very lovely and I greatly enjoy listening to Japanese music (Bleach Rock Musical is awesomeness). I plan to, either on my next break (which is in about 2 more weeks) or sometime post either links to or images of proper brush strokes for kanji. I might end up doing both.

I want to learn about Japanese culture/language/writing because is just so much more interesting than English! But, I'm sorry, I'm a little clueless once you get past the average forum "KAWAI DESU!!" thing...

Wecome to the guild kuutamoXpiru! I think for the most part we're all fairly new to the Japanese language, and thus, in the same big boat.

Hello. My name is Leonardo Mystic, but I am simply called Mystic.
My fascination with the Japanese language and the culture came because I'm a fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. With the story of Hamato Yoshi, Oroku Saki and the Foot Clan, there are Japanese roots laced throughout. The Turtles themselves have grown up under the influence with their Japanese rat Sensei and father Splinter, particularly as they are ninja. They know the language and some customs, and they follow the code of Bushido.
Leonardo is my favorite and he is fascinated most with Japan. I believe his enthusiasm influenced me. Writing fanfiction, I taught myself a few basic Japanese words such as "thank you", "hello" and "yes", but I also expanded it into a curse word or two and things like "I love you".
I would have loved to learn the language, but at the time I was in high school I had chosen French, which I later completely forgot everything I learned. sweatdrop It didn't stick with me like just a little of the Japanese I've learned myself so far is. I hope one day to learn a lot more. Someday I want to visit Japan too.

Welcome Mystic. My school only offered German and Spanish, and I choose Spanish. The only word I remember is piscina for pool...and the only reason I remember that is because your not supposed to piss in a pool. Pretty much everything else I forgot.

I'm Passion! I joined this guild because today, I watched a video on You Tube of a woman doing Japanese sign language, and as she did the signs, she spoke the alphabet, and I was instantly interested in knowing more. Hopefully I can make this a give and take relationship eventually; for now, I'll learn what I can from what's posted, and hopefully later I can also help others.

Thank you for joining. I only have a few lessons posted, but I full intend to post more.
Also, Japanese sign language sounds interesting. I think I heard some where that there are different sign language variations, just like spoken language.
