Once Zeke'd come out with the child, assuring her of his selection, Apoxi grinned. While they'd been meeting, the little woman had run down to her office to grab and start filling out the paperwork for the two.
"Here, just sign in these places and you can take him home. I'll grab you a blanket or something for him. It's too cold to be walking a little one around without anything on."

Zeke nodded and signed with a flourish.
"It'll be interesting clothes-shopping." Frankly, the man was surprised at how quickly he had taken to the idea of being a father upon seeing the child.

"I recommend learning to sew. It's much cheaper to get normal clothes and alter them a tad than to get special clothes that are prealtered or preripped." Apoxi commented, returning with a blanket to wrap around the little boy's upper half and another to rest over his hind quarters.
"You'll have to bring him back periodically for observation and to meet his dna donors but other than that you're fine. Any troubles you have, be they the development of new powers, needing to know how to care for certain things, or monetary needs, please contact us."

"Alright," Zeke nodded, adjusting his hold on the child as he giggled again and clutched the blanket around him. He was a good boy, Zeke could tell.
"I'll just...I mean." He paused briefly. He had heard tell of 'shop kids'; kids who grew quickly and developed strange abilities over time. Was this one of them? Or was this a true from-the-womb baby?
"Thanks. I guess."

"Remember to call us if any unusual growths happen. And visit with him every once in a while. We need to see him for our research." Apoxi called pleasantly as she saw them off.
