Zeke was frowning deeply, not that it was all that different from his usual neutral expression. He had received a rather ominous (and, he thought, probably falsely addressed) letter not long ago and had only a short amount of time to consider the great weight it held. In the end, he simply decided to decide when he got there. He was on his way now, walking as he had no car and never had learned to ride a bicycle. It was very likely that he may miss the building mentioned, all things considered, but he would try.

Luckily for him, the building was a little hard to miss. It was large and silver, with huge windows, large walled off gardens in the back that fruit trees could be seen over, and a very weird woman washing one of the windows.
She was very tall and slender, long pink hair straight cut and hanging down her back as if it were a perfectly normal and respectable look. Her thin frame was clothed in a grey high collared uniform and her eyes hidden behind a large black visor.
Glancing down, this woman noticed Zeke's presence and immediately lowered the hover vehicle she was on to greet him. "Good day."

Luckily or unluckily, depending on how you wanted to look at it. Zeke was past the point of even considering a person's physical appearance or mode of transportation, so he simply watched her as she floated down. He stood in silence a moment, and then held out the letter he had gotten.
"Am I at the right place?"

Kayen glanced at the letter through her visor and nodded. "Yes. You would be who then?" she inquired, not bothering to look at the addressee before turning to head into the building on her little craft. "You will be selecting a child inside.'

Zeke was a rude man in general, but it never ceased to bother him when others were rude back. He followed with his lip set in a grimace.
"Zeke."
He had no middle name and no last name. Indeed, he hadn't had a name at all until the late 1900s.

"Mm. I shall take you to Miss Blighto. I have work to do." the pink haired woman replied calmly, leading Zeke further inside to a small office where a young and very small woman with humongous brown hair and black glasses was in the process of sorting through a pile of papers.
"Miss Blighto, please assist this young man. This is Zeke." Kayen stated calmly before turning once more and departing.
A muscle twitched in Apoxi's cheek before she stood and walked over to greet the man. "Hello there. Welcome to Mystic Mixers." her tone was warm and friendly, where the other woman's had been cold and straight forward.

Zeke didn't watch the pink-haired woman go as his attention had shifted to this "Miss Blighto".
"I'm not sure you're going to get what you want out of me."

"Yeaaaaaaaaah that's fine. I really don't care." Apoxi said with a shrug, showing him down the hall. "Kayen did the picking of random people she thought were 'suitable' for some reason," the woman tone was slightly annoyed and her airquotes on the word suitable showed it especially, "I was just taking volunteers."
She glanced at him out of the corner of one eye. "You're the unicorn guy, right?"

Zeke peered up at his own horn, and then glared at the woman guiding him.
"I would say so, yes."

"What? Don't give me that look, where I come from those horns are pretty damn common." she grumped, "That's part of the reason we came here. Anyway do you want to see the unicorn kid first then? He's a cutie."

Hm. They had a unicorn kid? Zeke's manner softened a bit.
"Yes. I'd like that."

The woman showed her companion down the halls and into a little bedroom. There was a small boy in there with the upper portions of a fish person and the lower of a unicorn. From his gold horn, to his shiny hooves, he was a cute one. And on close inspection, one might notice a pink stripe in his white tail.
"Huh. You sure you aren't related?" she inquired with a snort, glancing up at Zeke's hair.

Zeke just stood and watched a moment, and then he did something incredible. He smiled. Just look at that pink!
"Positive."

Apoxi smirked a bit, moving out of the room a ways. "You two can get to know each other if you don't want to see any others just yet."

Zeke nodded.
"I...yeah. I'd like that."
When the woman left the room, he crouched to the boy's level. There was no fear in the way the boy reached out to him and giggled.
"My little boy."
