Shane was walking down the street glancing between houses and alleyways but soon he heard that one sound.that one damn sound the growling hissing gravvelly sound of the horde.he also saw some survivors fighting and smiled.It was good to have some company.They looked as if they could use some help so Shane rushed right in with his shotgun firing at every zombie that tried to bite and or claw him."Come on i got enough for all of y'all"he said in his southern accent.

As Rayde was moving through the ocean of undead, she very nearly cut the arm off of a man armed with a shotgun. She uttered a quick sorry mid swing into a nearby undead face followed by a quick duck as she quickly drew her MP5 and fired it over the unknown man's shoulder into ther eyesocket of an undead who was clutching at the mans neck.

"Yeah!oh take this and that and some more."Shane said taking out his knife tying it to his shotgun and started swinging and soon there were none left."Yeah thats how we do it baby"he said with a smirk. "My names Shane whats your miss?"

As Rayde beheaded yet another of the living dead, she heard the man who's life she very nearly ended talking to her . Being a bit busy Rayde kept her conversation to a minimum, she replied simply, "Rayde." She kept pushing into the mob, hearing gun fire all around her as the rest of the survivors started to clean the area up. Her sister Rebbecca pulled up alongside her and said "whew, that was a close one sis! We thought we'd lost you for a second there" Rayde looked up at her little sister from the ground, lit herself a cigarette and smiled. "They can't kill what they can't catch, hun. I showed them a few tricks I learned a while back" Rayde jumpped into the back of the Jeep as her sister and brother drove over to the remaining survivors who were busy picking off the last few remaining undead with nice, clean headshots...

Shane smiled and turns catching a zombie's eye on the end of his make-shift shotgun bayonet.He knelt down and spun taking his pistol out and shot a few more killing them then stood up."Well good day to y'all."Shane said quite politely taking apart his shotgun bayonet and cleaned his knife off and shoved it into its hilt."So Do ya mind if I tag along?"

Rayde turned and looked at the man, Shane, she remembered his name being. She replied "I'm Rayde, this is my sister Rebbecca and my brother Charlie, We're Rayde's Raiders out of Anchorage Alaska here looking for survivors to escort back to the safe area we established there. You guys look like able bodied fighters, do you have enough supplies to last here?" She took a deep drag of her cigarette and continued, "I need anyone who's ready for a fight to come with me, we have an obligation to the weaker people that somehow made it through the infection"

"Sorry to disappoint you ma'am but I just came from the south and nobodys down there."Shane looked at her."I'm free to come with you i dontt have any plans.Its a pleasure to meet Y'all Im Shane of well nothing."He said with a smile."I dont think im about to go down and participate with the united states military or no british weirdo so yeah."

"Well Shane, it's good to have you on board. I can always use a sure shot. If you need a restock on ammo, food or water, we have plenty. Just let me know," Rayde said with a wink. SHe slung her MP5 and sheathed her machete. "As for the rest of you, the offer stands, We might not be much but we are alive, and we are going to stay that way." Rayde looked back to the buildings and turned to Shane, "anyone alive in any of those? Any supplies?"

"I found some food but im cant be sure that its safe to eat Rayde."Shane said."And thats a mighty fine offer for supplies and food and ammo I just need well lets see I spent over 50 shells on the way here and another 20 shells on the zombies and 3 bullets while finishing them off."Shane said with a smile.His smile was genuine and friendly it was surprising that he was in such a good mood.

Rayde winked at Shane, "Well there's only one way to make sure you survive isn't there?" she sifted through the many boxes under her seat in the Jeep and pulled out a box of shells, a survival knife and a bottle of water. "There, you're going to need that, The water is fresh from the stills of our home in Anchorage" The shells we scavenged off a dead marine somewhere else in the city a few blocks away. Hopefully they serve you better than they did him."

Shane smiled and eagerly refilled his weapon."Thankk ya kindly Ma'am."He slung the water canister on his back.and replaced his relatively dull blade of his combat knife witth the survival knife."Ma'am if i might say, Your lookin' mighty fine for a zombie slayin' lady"Shane beamed a polite smile at her.He sounded so innocent and casual it was as if he was the little kid down the block who complimented everybody.

Rayde blushed, kinda stuttered a bit and said "uhhh.. thanks, compliments are hard to come by in days like these so thank you, " Flicking out her smoke she looked at the streets around her and addressed the whole group, "we'd best keep moving if we're going to survive."

Shane nodded."No problem ma'am"He looked around."This looks like this used to be a nice neighborhood,Rayde can i go look through them buildings?"He said pointing to some suspicious looking buildings.

Rayde smiled, she could truly appreciate the boy's enthusiasm, just a meer hour ago she herself was raiding those building for anything that was worthwile. She hadn't found much but a few trinkets and a lot of corpses. She had the feeling she was in someone else's territory. Good or bad she didn't know yet, but had the feeling she was going to find out soon. "Sure Shane, we can check them out, I'm sending my sister to go with you, just in case." Rayde motioned for Rebbecca to follow him into the building. "Always move as a team, lone wolves have a tendency of coming back... and not in a good way," Rayde shouted to Shane. Rayde set up a fire in the middle of the intersection. As long as everyone stood guard this was as defensible a spot as any, easy to pick off undead with the long avenues of approach, and easily escapable if s**t hit the fan, she thought to herself as she watched her sister pick an AR-15 out of the back of the truck and readied her flashlight for entry in to the buildings.

"Alright rayde."Shane had took off in a jog towards the farthest building it was only logical to start at the farthest one.he looked around and tried the door.It was locked.With a smirk he took out his pistol and shot off the door handle and pushed it open.entering the house he scanned the room noting the corpses and covered his mouth with a rag.he didnt care what rebcca thought of him supplies were the upmost importance.so he started scavenging the dead.after getting what he could from them.some jewellry and such he went down the hall to the bathroom kicking open the door and shot through the shower curtain.he couldnt risk the chance of having a zombie in there.he flicked the tap wondering if any water would come out some did so he pluggeed the sink and set the jewellry in the water letting the dirt and stench soak off it.while that was soaking shane went down the hall into a room.it was a child's room it had a few corpses and the bedsheets were mangled and bloody."poor kid got eaten while he slept."He searched the room in silence piling a bunch of junk he couldnt use in the middle and left finding nothing of usefulness.He went to the end of the hallway and entered the parent's room and looked at the bed.it was made and quite clean.the parents must have been changed then ate their son or something.shane went through the drawers then stopped a moment finding a jewellery box filled with gold a few diamonds and silver."well well well."he took his findings back to the bathroom and took the wet Jewellery out of the sink setting it in the box.the house was clear he had switched to his pistol since the box was being carried in one hand.
