•Personality: Faraxael is a calm, elegant presence who tends to provide himself as a mediator in disputes. He sees things objectively and listens to both sides of a tale, never leaping to snap conclusions and often providing little more than a few guiding words and phrases to allow others to come to their own settlements of issues. He is a therapeutic and gentle soul, who spends so much time helping others that he forgets to take care of himself more often than not. Faraxael likes to ignore his own issues in the favor of helping others deal with theirs, as it is less painful than facing truths about himself.

•Character Relations: Spiritpaw - Mentor and parental figureFaraxael, like many Shakaiyo, emerged from his basket to find himself very alone in a strange and often frightening world. His first few days were spent wandering the area near his basket in search of food and water, often fleeing back to the basket at the slightest sound that scared him or at the sight of a strange creature - most often a rabbit or bird.
Faraxael was fortunate enough to have had his basket placed near the edge of the Ardanshir Forest, rather than in the middle of the scorching desert. He was able to get his early nourishment from dewdrops and berries, but his consistent fear had him very limited in how far he could travel. He was unable to leave his basket, which had been a safe haven and a connection to his true homeland for so long. It was almost like a separation anxiety every time he went further away in search of food, causing him to return religiously even when nothing frightened him or there was no real reason to return, other then to make sure the basket hadn't disappeared.
On his fifth day of searching, Faraxael was discovered by Spiritpaw, who startled him so badly she had to follow him back to his basket and carefully coax him back out of it, politely ignoring the fact she could have easily plucked him out on her own. She gave Faraxael the opportunity to trust her at the very beginning, which was likely what made their bond so strong as the years went on.
Spiritpaw was a gentle, loving soul with a great healing and happy energy. She was glad to take the young one under her and raise him as her own, teaching him her values and telling him the tales of other Shakaiyo she had met on her own journey. Through her tales, Spiritpaw taught Faraxael how to handle things like hostility, anger, bitterness and sadness, which were all emotions he would be likely to face in other Shakaiyo as he journeyed on his own path. Spiritpaw was keen on showing Faraxael how to observe his surroundings and think objectively. She did not believe in violence or extreme reactions and drama, preferring subtlety and respect at all times. Her greatest teaching tool was in the fact that she never raised her voice to him, or displayed anger. When she was displeased, she expressed a sadness and disappointment that would wrench at Faraxael's heartstrings and almost always taught him his lesson in and of itself. As a result of this, Faraxael himself is very soft spoken and polite, opting to show displeasure through a softly spoken admonishment rather than a temper tantrum.
It has been three years since Faraxael and Spiritpaw have parted. Spiritpaw believed that Faraxael was old enough at twenty to travel on his own and gain his own experiences and wisdoms, sending him on his way with her love and pride. Faraxael does not know when he will return to her side, but he knows in his heart that they will meet again.

•Personality: Seyton is anti-social and unfriendly at the best of times, becoming outright violent and cruel if pushed. He is extremely distrusting of everyone around him and is downright terrified of forming friendships with anyone out of fear of being hurt. He is extremely lonely, but hides it behind anger and hostility.

•Dislikes: Anyone who tries to get too close to him, Being alone (Rather contradictory, isn't he?) Thunderstorms
•Character Relations: Seridus - FriendSeyton has led a trying and unfortunate existence from the very beginning. His basket got tossed around during a storm, dislodging it from its safe place and causing him to tumble away. He was lucky not to be damaged, though he does have a difficult time hearing things every now and again. For the most part, he has typical hearing, but high pitched noises can cause him to go almost deaf for a time, which deeply disturbs him.
His parents never found his basket and he developed anxiously in the hopes of being able to find them. When he left his basket, he wasted no time in his searching for them, though the Shakaiyo he found in the end was no parent in blood or in spirit.
Gaurdiel was a jaded, cynical and cruel Shakaiyo who had long lost all sense of right and wrong. The opportunity to guide another Shakaiyo along his lonely path was a surprisingly happy thought to him, for as much as he hated his existence, he liked the thought of not being the only one to be miserable.
Gaurdiel raised Seyton by convincing him his parents had abandoned him and would never want him, and teaching him that no Shakaiyo was worth trusting - not even Guardiel. The elder Shakaiyo taught Seyton to deal with issues by fighting it out and to always be the first one to attack - never allow another Shakaiyo the opportunity of first bite. These lessons caused the two of them to fight often and, as a result, Seyton has many scars beneath his fur.
Yet over time, Seyton grew to be the larger of the two and began winning every fight, causing Guardiel much more damage than the elder was willing to accept. So it was that when Seyton was a little over fifteen years old, Guardiel stated a few choice cruelties and pretended to sleep. When Seyton awoke the next morning, he had been abandoned.
Raised in a dysfunctional, violent and distrusting manner, Seyton had no social skills to speak of and spent the following three years alone and bitter. A young female managed to reach through to him once, however, and for a short time, Seyton was happy. The female taught him things he'd never known, simple things like laughter and contentment. He may even have learned love, without recognizing it, but the friendship didn't last. The female said something that wounded Seyton deeply and, having not been taught any other way to handle pain, he attacked her. She fled from him and never returned, leaving him convinced that Gaurdiel was right and that trusting others was a bad idea.
It was a year later that Seyton met Seridus, and their relationship is one Seyton still does not quite understand. A part of Seyton feels admiring of Seridus and wishes to be closer to him, but the more dominant parts brought to him by his upbringing and his betrayal from the female keep him at a distance with the star-marked male.
The reason Seyton left the mountains for the desert was fear. He was afraid of befriending Seridus, or even trying. Seyton was afraid of how badly he wished for a friendship, knowing how much pain they could cause, and chose to run away.
He's been running ever since.
