-pops in- I'm just curious... If the books are from the ocean, essentially, how are they still in good condition? I figure any book that's been dunked in the sea & comes from wreckages would have to be just slurs of ink on drenched pages. Especially if they're human books...?

Well, some cargo on ships DOES make it, and if wrekage comes up onto the shore and is found, it usually happens fairly quickly within a few days of sinking otherwise it would get pulled further out into the sea (thus the water damage isn't from YEARS AND YEARS of being underwater). How else would human civilizations been able to rescue books/captains logs from long past sinked ships? :3 This is still going on the theory that they are very RARE, meaning he doesn't have an entire library of them since he only has a scant few, and no one ever said that some of them weren't very delicate/had to be treated with extreme care because of water damage.

Yey. Changed his 'outsider' books to simply 'rare' books that he must scour the black market for. <3
