Klaus just shrugs. "Rats are Rats.." He says as he goes over to it, picking it up. He tossed the bag over to his boat then went grab a tool kit, pulling a few little pieces he grabbed from the ship and sat down, opening up, he assessed the damage and started to build an artificial lung and heart inside the Rat, connecting it. He then decided to improve it, he added a little glasses, that had different views as well as a little balloon sac. He went and connected it so it filled up, having given the rat a pair of little wings and propellers that were powered by the artificial heart. He then sewed it up. He then tinkered a little bit, and started the heart, which worked in tandem with the lung artificial lung to wind each other when needed. The rat Woke up and just started flying in circles. "There ya go..Have fun little one.." He says as he goes back to his boat and gets ready to leave. If one was paying attention, they'd notice he only used his right hand. "If you are coming along you better hurry.."

Alicia Mary gave Klaus an odd look. "That thing weighed over two hundred pounds... how'd you do that?" She asked as he lifted it up like it was nothing in addition to everything else he was carrying. She followed him watching curiously. She didn't particularly like the idea of killing things, but she didn't much like the idea of it trying to eat her again either... It had only attacked because it was starved. She hardly doubted it would be happy flying on its new wings for long before trying to eat someone again. Animals worked on instinct. "Little?" She muttered to herself as she got onto the ship watching the animal intently. "What happens when it runs out of power? The system needs energy coming in from somewhere..." She said, actually curious.
(( Erm... when I said giant rat... I meant GIANT rat... >.< ))

Klaus laughs. "How I do what?" he said as he forgot about it, pushing it so it flew down into the lower sections. "Oh, I left all the rotted food out for it so it can have a nice breakfast." He says as he starts to unhook his ship, jumping over to it with ease. "The gases in the balloon should last for a few days, but I am sure it will be able to produce some of its own if it eats." He says as he prepares to venture off, turning the wheel hard. "Got some good things form them." He says as he flies towards nothing in particular. He just sets it to cruise and starts going threw the bag, which in itself should way close to three or four hundred pounds. He started digging, getting a can of food out. He scratches his head then manages to get it open , finding it was beans. "Why is it always beans?!?" He asks himself as he puts it on a little heat tray on the back of the ship.

She decided to simply drop the subject just giving him an odd look. He was unlike what she had expected, or rather unlike either her fears or hopes had imagined. For now she followed him around silently like a wraith, watching him with intense curiosity. "What is up with your left arm?" She asked sitting on the railing a little ways away, her feet hooked around the support beams so she wouldn't fall back. "Surely its inconvenient not to use it and I can tell you do have it, and it doesn't flop around enough to be unusable... is it broken in a splint?"

"Hm. No, i fixed the problems with it." He says as he starts eating with his left hand, the little metal fingers grabbing the spoon as he eats straight from the can. His arm was a dark-golden color, being made of brass and similar metals. The finger looked like skeletal work of a building, moving quietly as he ate. There was a large triangle-shaped shield object on his arm, covering the forearm. "Why?" He asks curious to why she inquired him about it.

She stared at it trying to keep her face blank. She could hear soft hissing noises as it moved. Steam powered. Why did he use so much steam powered stuff? And yet have the technology to make something so intricate... "Like I said, doing things with one hand is rather inconvenient and with the rat I would think someone would do whatever possible to speed the process which increases the likelihood of success." She pointed out. She hesitated wanting to touch the arm, see what metals it was made of.

"The rat.." He says scratching his head with his other hand. He just shrugs and continues to eat, finishing up. He then puts the can down with a second spoon. His fingers retract, closing in a small orb on the bottom of his arm. The arm moved quite easily, the hissing almost unnoticeable. Mostly one would hear clicking of all the clock work and pistons moving as he moved around, putting it back under the cape as he then goes to the front of the ship laying down, he moves so his left forearm rest under his head, the shield part against the deck as he stares up. "Hm. Which direction to turn.." He says thinking aloud.

Alicia Mary observed for now, still uneasy about all this. She stared at the food for a while her mind moving slowly. Her body knew what it wanted though and she crouched on the ground taking the spoon and eating slowly. She was too hungry to care about the condition of the food, her mind trying to reason and draw out the construction of the different parts of the other man's arm. She had an understandable fascination with 'robotic' prosthetics. Her gaze went to him listening. "I take it you aren't heading anywhere in particular." She commented.

Klaus just lays there, staring up. "Not in particular. Everynow and then there are small towns, but mostly just empty black void. Good luck finding back to towns though, compasses and Sextants don't work." He says as he relaxes on the little deck. "So I just been going around, finding big abandon ships here and there, stealing food and parts as I go." Klaus says as he sits up, going to the front of the ship, opening a small compartment, pulling out his blanket as just tosses it onto the deck, a pillow falling out from it as he unfurls it. Slowly he lays back and just relaxes on the make-shift cot, which took up most of the front of his little dingy.

"Really? Well without the stars... and there certainly aren't..." She mumbled to herself as she worked it out staring out into the darkness gloomily. "And they probably move around too." She muttered chuckling softly and shaking her head. "So... how long have you been in this place?" She asked and formed a fist with her right hand, opening it slowly to stare down at a small flickering white flame in her palm, shielding it from the soft breeze.

"Hm. Lost count. Days and Nights are hard to come bye." He says as he just relaxes, staring out at the little balloons pulling them along. He sighs and kicks a switch, since he couldn't see any others around them, lighting several small gas lamps around the edge of the dingy that light the deck itself, giving them a little more light as he starts thinking of what to do. He could possibly navigate to one of the larger rocks and hope there are people to trade with. Canned food was a hard commodity to come by, and his dry food store was only filled with beans. "yay.." He says unenthusiastically to himself.

She flinched as the lights suddenly came on and blinked as her eyes adjusted. "Makes sense..." She said and moved letting the flame die away and perching on the railing. Hearing his joyless cry she looked over at him. "Wot?"

"Nothing, talking to myself." Klaus points out as he lays there, thinking he may be able to get something a little more tasty. He gets up for a second, opening the bag up, putting the canned food he snagged away in one compartment, and then the parts and gold in a much larget comparment. He found a small orange that he had been hiding and takes it out. With a his, the shield turns around forming a punching sword, which he uses to cut the orange in two, throwing a half to her. "Eat." He says as

She nodded and caught the orange easily. "Thank you." She said and rolled it around in her hand experimentally. She focused on the idea of healing. She was surprised when what she was trying actually worked. "What is your name sir?" She asked tossing him half an orange. If he paid attention it was cut differently than the piece he had thrown her and wouldn't fit the half he had. It was also much fresher. Alicia Mary still had half an orange, she had also gotten a small self satisfied smile.

Klaus looks at the orange and starts putting it together, then starts to think about how it was separated. He didn't hear her question, but after a minute, he finally thought he heard her ask it. "Klaus." He says simply, putting trying to figure how the same half he had could spontaneously reappear. This baffled his mind, but didn't stop him from eating his half he had, picking the other up to put in the food stores.
