You're welcome. I just hate it when people drag out things that would really better be put to rest.
We have a start on the 9th Annual Ball, and it's looking like it's going to be a good one. The 8th Annual Ball is over, we had our ups and downs, let's leave it at that. Right now we should just focus on making this ball the best it can be.
The past is, as the word implies, past. Let's not dig it back up please, hm?

By the way, are we voting on Theme or are you picking that yourself? And when will that be so I can try to get a head start on some graphics and layouts.

Considering I'm not even talking about the 8th Annual Ball...I'm talking about this ball and future balls. It's expressing our views and concerns with a flawed system. I would still very much like to discuss it further...

What Kala said. ^^ Also, I would not start on graphics and layouts just yet... as those are the choices of the hosts.
After theme is chosen we will be choosing room hosts, and they will each choose their team as they see best fit. ♥

I'm thinking that it will be a similar way that the committees are chosen. With an application. I'm not comfortable leaving those positions up to a vote because it would become a popularity contest, and we really need devoted members who know what they're doing to run the rooms, since that's a major and important job. ♥

Alright Hester, I'll follow my own example and shut my mouth. ^_^ I can completely understand wanting to talk about how to do things in the future, and improving upon the current way things are done.
What would you like to discuss further?

I mean in a way to display examples for all the hosts to look at first before having to go to outside help. That was a problem in the last ball for the room I was in. The first artist never sent us the layouts.

That's very helpful then, thanks! Samples are always nice. I know my artists backed out and I asked novas to do our art. I did our layout. Have fun making samples~ ♥

Actually... I really like this idea! biggrin It seems fair enough and it'll would be great if this system be implemented for the next nomination. Then everyone gets a say at least for the final decision. Or at least that for the co-host nominations as well. It'll be nice to see that for the next ball, then everyone will be satisfied, and there'll be no reason for anyone to be angry or upset since the choice was clearly in the hands of all those in the Ball.

Not trying to run off topic here, but when are the room hosts and committees gonna get chosen? And can a room host be a committee leader? Cause if it both occurs at the same time, some room hosts might not be able to cope with both jobs at the same time.
