Aerica smiled to herself as she sensed discomfort coming from Erika behind her. Aerica had already noticed that Erika was different then her other students, she could tell that Erika had more potential then some of the other dregs that decided that they wanted to become thieves, agents or assassins for mere profit. She didn't want to waste that talent, so she was already planning on turning the other students against Erika.

Aerica still remembered why she, an agent, was chosen to teach the rogue class students above an Assassin, Thief, or Archer. Agents had extensive knowledge of people, and politics. They knew how to use people, to lie, and manipulate them to suit their needs. Aerica knew exactly how to turn the students against one another to make them great, how to teach them how to exploit their opponents' weaknesses, how to read their enemy's mind. She would make them, not only able to be nearly invisible physically, but also be able to be mentally invisible. She would teach them to withstand torture and pain, and they will grow to hate her. But they will be the better for it, they will finally be ready for the real world.

Martialis hurried over to Davith Perth, and when he finally caught up to Davith he realized they were headed to the castle grounds just outside.

"Why are we going outside, professor? Aren't we going to our classroom to learn about fighting?" He said, puzzled.

"Boy, the castle grounds *are* your classroom. We will be out here every day, only coming inside when it is snowing and sometimes we'll be outside even when it is snowing. You can't learn how to fight while you are cooped up in a little room and you sure can't learn how to fight until you've got enough muscles to keep a hold on your weapon! Before you all learn anything you'll have to practice and exercise relentlessly. Life will be tough for you all, but stick to your guts and you'll survive."

Erika spotted someone trying to reach into her pocket, the guy was clumsy and idiotic, she tripped him, and soon had him on the ground, his nose bleeding profusely, then she just started walking again. She frowned as others were looking at her open mouthed. "...What the idiots can't do that themselves?" She said mostly to herself.

Aerica frowned sternly at Erika, though she smiled inside. "Come along, ye wee fellows ye'll git yer chance eventually. 'An I dinna like fighting amongst ye students when ye dinna be training. Please keep yer brawls an' scuffles ta the courtyard." She said. Most of the other students glared at Erika, they really didn't like show offs...

Erika shrugged, not caring what others thought. Aerica wouldn't have to try hard at all to get the others to hate her.. She just followed Aerica silently the rest of the way, making sure no one tried to steal from her again.

Aerica stopped suddenly, she pulled on a torch in the hallway
and suddenly the floor moved to reveal stairs.

"Ye will wait in this hallway for me in the mornings. I will open the passageway for ye. 'an be late, ye will be left here and ye will fall behind in yer classes. It be strict, but we dinna want our trade secrets known. If ye be caught trying ta' steal from the Academy treasury, ye will be sent ta the academy dungeon, and all the goods ye stole will be returned." Aerica said, with an odd gleam in her eyes, as she walked down the stairs.

Davith had all his students doing basic sparring with sticks against each other, with padding. They weren't ready for the real thing yet, they needed more experience and they needed muscles that were trained to fight.

Martialis groaned as his muscles ached from all the bruises he was getting from the sparring matches, he really wanted to become a knight but this was just plain torture.

cisco trying his best at sparring was growing tired and starting to lose focus not sure if he could take much more
PostPosted: Fri Sep 17, 2010 7:41 pm

Davith told them to switch partners so that they could learn more then one person's fighting style. Martialis found himself up against Cisco this time. He studied his opponent through his glassy blue eyes, and realized that Cisco was just as tired as he was.

"Haha, looks like all this sparring has tired you out too. I came hear learning to fight, but all I seem to be learning is how to be beaten to death. We can't give up now though, if we want to be able to fight dragons, wizards and monsters we will need the training. I don't know about you, but I'm not going to quit on my first day!" Martialis said to Cisco, finishing just before Davith told them to start sparring again.

Martialis decided to take the initiative this time, and attacked first. He hoped to surprise Cisco and put him on the defensive so he couldn't attack back.

"good words of encouragement and if you can see how tired i am that means i gotta train a lot more!" focusing on defending against martialis's attacks he looks for an opening as quickly as possible before its to late
PostPosted: Fri Sep 17, 2010 8:14 pm

Martialis just smiled as he continued his relentless attack. Martialis had plenty of openings, but he was not making it easy for Cisco to follow through with them.

Martialis grew up as a trouble-maker. It was his escape from all the kids that would bully him. He was no stranger to fighting because he was around it all his life. Fighting with a weapon, even though it was just a stick, was completely different and he was just barely beginning to adjust to it.

Suddenly, while Martialis was distracted with his past, there it was. A nice clear opening that Cisco could use to trip Martialis with a sweep to the leg.

Erika moved to stand by Aerica. "So are we going down there now or what? I think someone has been staring at my a** this whole time."

Martialis slammed his foot into Cisco's sword hand, making his weapon go flying. Then he swung his sword around and smashed it against one of the pads.

"You know, you really should check to see if your opponent could be tricking you before assuming that you've won the match. Not everyone is going to fight fairly, you know." Martialis said kindly. He wasn't trying to be mean, he was only trying to teach Cisco a lesson of his own.

Davith, who had been watching Cisco and Martialis,
couldn't wait till the real lessons started. They both
were better at sword fighting now then he had been
when he was their age. It looked like his class had a
lot of potential this year.

Aerica simply smiled and pulled a lever. It made a clicking
noise that came from the walls. Then she proceeded down
the stairs with the rest of the students.

"We'll have ta beat that impatience out of ye, young one.
The arts of the rogue are all about patience. If ye dinna
have the patience to check fer traps, or wait for a good
shot if ye want to be an archer, then ye'll never be any
better then ye are now. Ours is a dangerous profession,
so it be the patience that keep ye alive in the end."
she lectured.
