It's been going on a long time. Much like many fun shows or things, the loveable oaf in the program steals the show at times, and after awhile, it's just not funny anymore. Although I will admit I enjoyed Gir when I was 12...if that's any consolation to all of those Gir groupies out there.

Although I will admit I enjoyed Gir when I was 12...if that's any consolation to all of those Gir groupies out there. Yeahh... I still love GIR, but whenever I hear those people talking so much about only him, I get so annoyed! He isn't the main part of the show, and the other characters have some funny lines, too!

yes. Have you ever noticed that Dib bares a striking resemblance to Johnny?((JTHM)) And in the Santa ((Worst Xmas Ever)) episode, he was called "Johnny."

How did I miss that?! eek And maybe if he were a little taller and he changed his hair and clothes and... uggh, a lot... yeah, maybe he'd look sorta like Johnny. Maaaybe... xd

lupine_ragdoll I've noticed that even if people don't like the actual show Invader Zim, they still love GIR. My youngest sister actually commented on an online journal post of mine once with "Invader Zim is rubbish! GIR rules!", and my other sister, who also can't stand the show, was sitting in the living room when the Future Dib episode was on, and as soon as GIR delivered his "Aww, your little robot boy got broken!" line (something along those lines, I can't remember exactly what he said confused ), she actually did a proper fangirl squeal (I've never once heard her do that before) and started going on about how much GIR rules! razz Has anyone else had IZ haters go mad over GIR?

I just recently watched that X-Mas episode, and when the lady called Dib "Johnny," I don't think it had a thing to do with JTHM. rolleyes As much as you want to think that, the lady was probably just calling Dib that to call him something.

I love GIR but I think Zim is stinkin hilarious too!!! Zim doesn't have many funny lines but the acts is funny!!! I know many people who like GIR but not the show or any other character.. It's sooo annoying.... scream

i totally agree i know loads of peeps who love Gir but ignore all the other characters i can admit yeah i love gir but i love the show as a whole more . The graphics and scenes rule and the characters are all unique and funny as hell in there own individual ways ^_^

I love Gir, but I love Dib and Zim just a little bit more. Back when I shopped at Hot Topic (before they got sucky and overpopular), they sold IZ shirts. I'm sure they still do, but anyway. I heard these girls talking about Gir, and when a friend and I approached them, they didn't even know where Gir was from! They just thought he was cute and funny and it just pissed me off!
