ShadowRose walked carefully into the room, uncertain and shy. She looked around and saw three people standing in the middle of the room, talking. Her foxtail swished from side to side as she approached them. "Hello," she said "I am from the nomad of Kitsune that live in the dark forest on the far eastern side of your kingdom, and I'll be representing them because my master is busy. I'm sorry I am late, the distance was too far for me to reach you in time." by the time she was finished she had memorised every curve and mark on her bare feet.

((I hope it's okay that I just "jump in" as one of the representants, I couldn't miss a chance like this...))

Lady Arminoire, attired in her flowing, pale white gown, walked steadfast through the castle's corridors, the tiny, intricate layers of pearls and sapphires embroidered on her gown, jeweled headpeice and necklace reflecting the lights, giving her a soft, milky, and eternal blue glow. She smiled kindly at all who passed her, until she finally reached the counsel chamber.

Arminoire opened the grand chamber door and bowed to her queen, saying in a brilliant and soothing voice, "I apoligize for making you wait, my queen. I am Lady Arminoire, daughter of Duke and Duchess Pearl. I have came as repesentitive for both the Pearl and Sapphire House. My husband, the Lord of Sapphire, wishes you well and he is dearly sorry he could not attend."

Arminoire looked up at the queen and the others there and gave them a kind smile. As she walked towards the exquisite table to be seated, she remarked pensively, "I hope this situaton may end peacefully, and with many blessings for all."

Queen Silver graciously smiled at the two new entrances. "I welcome you both here." She turned to the woman, ShadowRose. "Who are you? If you are representing the Nomad tribe Kitsune, you must certainly be..." Silver racked her memory as to what the Kistune tribe was famous for. "Something. You must be something!"

Then, to Arminoire: "You, I can see, are a noblewoman through and through. I hope the Duchess Pearl is doing alright. I loved her like a second mother growing up."

"Now, as you heard, our castle is being attacked. I wished to hear all opinions on this issue, so I invited you all. But enough of serious talk! Now, we attack the refreshments." Silver smiled, produced a meat cleaver from her person, and began to cut brownies out of a pan.

cozork chuckled to himself a little about the assasination coment, he just might enjoy this meeting,
he aknowledged the new arrivals with little care, he would observe them a little before releasing any more personal information, he had done more than enough of that for one day

"from what i heard around the tribes, it would seem that most of them are willing to talk reasonably about the whole situatuation, in my opinion the only way to resolve this in a peaceful manner is a trade. I figure if there is something that each side wants and the other has, then a trade would make both sides happy again with minimal bloodshed"

cozork's father had warned him against coming to this meeting, he had been so synical and dissapointed in the king in the past. but cozork knew better than to follow in his footsteps, after all his mothers genepool had nullified the demon rage that his family had and he was a much more patient monster. though only a fool would mistake this for weakness.

Silver tilted her head to the side, munching a cookie thoughtfully. Then, "A trade is a good idea, but our castle's riches aren't as rich as most think. If we are to trade with them, we will have to tax the nobles hard for a few months." She smiled apologetically to all, then whispered, "I believe it's time for King Gold to take his medication. He hasn't been feeling well lately, I'm afraid." She swept out of the room, tripped on a rolling pearl, and stood back up, running towards the King's bedroom.

((Sorry guys, got to go now! Be back tomorrow at the latest!))

Jacklyn smiled politely at the others in the room. Sitting down again, she helped herself to some refreshments. While she didn't hate demons, her magic bristled uncomfortably around them all the same. Rather not wanting to be uncomfortable during the entire meeting, she chose a place far from the demon. "So, I'm to understand they are attacking for land?" she asked, unsure about the demands of the nomads.

cozork watched as the one person he knew he could trust in the room left, he would have to word things very carefully for a little while.
he looked around for a chair that was particularly shaded, he found one that combined with his demonic aura would make him less than half visible to the rest of the room and he gracefully sat down.

"so tell me more about yourself, you whom hails from kitsune"

he spoke calmly feeling a little more comfortable in the small amount of shadow he had found

"and i believe it is a little more than just land"

he added in the direction of the seemingly uncomfortable sorceress

"Uhh.." ShadowRose said glancing up only to see even more people in the room. She decided to look at her feet again. "If you mean that I must be a plant-bender because I am a Kitsune you're half right." she said "I am one, but some Kitsune are merely savages looking for memories, emotions and lives to take." she stopped before adding quickly "I'm ashamed of them, but there's nothing to do" she glanced back up at the queen, a strong, crimson fire burning faintly in her golden eyes(literally, you would see a fire).

((I don't know if my version of a Kitsune is wrong, but I'll act by the way the are described in The Vampire Diaries book 3 and 4. Which means they are fox spirits who have several tails(only one material), can change shape, play with memories, feed on your life essence and use magic associated with plants(and seduce/take control over people) and much more))

Arminoire bowed again as the queen left, and sat down in her plush seating, close to Jacklyn fancying a tasty mont blanc and some white rose tea. She glanced about the room, taking in all the colorful personalities and pondering on the issues with the nomad.

After hearing Jacklyn's questions, she asked the nomads, "Yes, I have a bit of intel on the threats, but not enough to see the rationality of why the Diamond Tribe is being hostile. If it is land, there are many uncharted borders to the west, and more, they are fertile and wealthy in rivers and springs. I've been on tours accross that land, to the kingdoms past the Weylan Mountains, and it is quite lovely. Have the nomads have reason to directly challenge our kingdom?"

((@Moon: you explained your version in character so we know what to work with now. You'll be fine.))

Jacklyn looked over to the demon, fidgeting in her chair. "Do you happen to know more about this then?" she asked.

cozork chuckled at the words of this 'noble' woman

"you think that the tribe i hail from are simply after land, and you think that the way your king and his 'noble' people has been towards them for the most of their lives has nothing to do with this?
the tribe seems to think that you have always seen them as lesser folk, this is not my opinion, but many of the tribe do think this way"

he looked back in remembrance of the way his father had reffered to the king as a pompous weak idiot not but a week ago
PostPosted: Thu Aug 19, 2010 9:51 am

"Err.. I'm one of the finest plant-benders of my tribe, and have focused most my magic on growing herbs and creating medicine, which is why I'm my Chief's personal healer and most trusted tribesman." ShadowRose said, telling the half-demon just what her tribe-council had told her to before adding "and you may just call me Rose" glancing up to smile at him, she saw that the queen was gone and felt slightly sad.

((okay, I'll tell you more if I feel like it's needed smile ))

Jacklyn pinched the bridge of her nose. "I don't get into politics. I just advice on magical affairs and keep sanctuary from my enemies. So I have no idea what is the kingdom's past with the nomads."
PostPosted: Thu Aug 19, 2010 10:00 am

Arminoire nodded in understanding at the demon's words, and replied inquiringly, "The attitudes of the King have nothing to do with myself, if he is at fault with these matters, then I suggest you fully explain the worries and demands of the tribe to those of us with a kind and open-minded mind and tongue, so that we may correct the wrong that has been done in the past. My family, though a leading part of the courts, are more bonded to our queen than our king."

Arminoire took a sip of her tea before continuing, "My family has admired the ways of the nomads, and we have always respected their ways. I believe that the nomads possess traits and abilities that we may never aquire. I have dear nomadic friends that I would be sorry to break ties with. I seek to resolve this matter. My family has restrained using our gifts and powers in politics, and I would like to continue with this tradition. Though I am a woman of nobility, I am very...skilled in more intricate arts."

"thank you Rose, i'm sure you do a fine job of it too"

he though back to his one time of being in the forest she came from, he shuddered a little as he would have been killed that day if it was not for the sun going behind a cloud and the shadows giving him enough strength. he was much older and stronger now though. and knew that this kitsune was not as savage and mindless as his attackers.

he turned to the noblewoman

"you seem to have an honorable family, i wish to resolve this in a peaceful manner also, but the hopes of that are getting slimmer with every day that passes, my father is a very powerful man, and is a pure bred demon at that, it would be very hard to sway his mind in favour of a peaceful resolve"
