xmkatx: Hmm, yeah, I guess you're right about the whole SC/CB thing. But the over-the-top nature of Samurai Champloo was one of the main things that drew me to it initially. Plus, Mugen had a little bit (a lot?) of Spike inside him, and I liked and missed him so much that it was almost a relief to see part of him. Plus, I totally dig period dramas like SC and Kenshin. True, Kenshin was way more in-depth, but it had a lot of filler, especially after the whole Shishio Makoto saga (which kicked a**, by the way.) The "gaiden" episodes near the end of Champloo were interesting and exciting enough to be able to stand on their own and not just be filler.
I'm looking forward to an SC boxed set, and since I don't own Cowboy Bebop, a boxed set of those Remix rereleases would be nice too.

Still sad over the fact that Honey and Clover ended (anime wise). Good thing they're making a j-dorama and movie out of it. whee The manga is so great.

I can't wait for the NANA movie. I might pre-order it on yesasia.

I watched that Miyazaki special they had on TMC. They showed a lot of films I hadn't seen before, like Whispers of the Heart and Nausicaa, both of which were really good. Nausicaa especially.

I'm very looking forward to Nana myself. I've been following the manga for *ages*. It's one of my favourite, so I'm very curious about the movie.
I want to see ParaKiss crying ;;. Haven't yet, but the manga's one of my favourite too (all Ai Yazawa manga are XD).
Nausicaa is so pretty. I recently saw Laputa -Castle in the Sky- again... So cute =D.

I wasn't impressed with the first NANA GN that I read. Actually, I was very disappointed, but I'm going to stick with it and see if it gets better.
I think Nausicaa is up there as one of my Miyazaki favorites.

Been watching more Parakiss.
It feels so rushed. I don't like that they used Franz Ferdinand for the ending theme (should've switched with the opening by Tommy February6). The story doesn't capture you like the manga did. Really poor adaptation.
I'm still going to finish the series.

Oh I saw Advent Children a while back, that was freakin' awesome. And my friend gave me all of Full Metal Alchemist. I'll probably be starting that this weekend, now that finals are over.

I finally saw Howl's Moving Castle today. It was really good, of course. Another masterpiece by Miyazaki, or I could just be biased, but whatever. Anyway, I think Howl will be my next Halloween costume. I really liked his character, not your typical wizard. I'll probably watch it again before I give it back to my friend.

Great movie. I'm a bit sad that it didn't win best animation at the Oscars, but I love Wallace & Gromit. I need to see that latest film.

Were-Rabbit was a pretty good Wallace and Gromit flick. Very dry suggestive humor, typical British. Yeah I'm not sure if it should've gotten the Oscar or not, I'm kind of torn.

Samurai Champloo is getting good. I was afraid it would be a platonic friendship between the three, I'm glad there's finally some romance stuff coming in to play. I'm on the episode with the blind singer by the way.

I liked The Animatrix a lot.
I've just bought Wallace and Gromit - Curse of the Were-Rabbit, but haven't watched it yet. If it's up to Nick Park's usual standard, it'll be excellent.
