Rikku heard that threat and came running, thinking the man to utter those words was his target. When he reached the man and what looked to be an anthro-humanoid creature he aimed his knife at the man. "Leave that poor creature alone and face me......"

Ilyard turned to the new arrival. "This isn't any of your concern, stranger. I'm tired of fighting for today, so please don't force my hand...I don't want to kill you." Ilyard drew his blade and took a defensive stance.

"Your target? What do you mean....are you an assassin? This 'poor creature' came into a sacred place, my home for the time being, and is desecrating it...I can't stand by and allow it to happen." Ilyard sneered. "It sickens me."

"You didn't ask for an appology? Or negotiation? Swords are only a last resort." Rikku's eyes flickered to sadness for one tiny speck of a second befor he decided to walk past the swordsman and the creature and through the building without any verbal or written permission.

"When I thought I was dealing with a demon, yes, I drew my sword. Where are you going?" Ilyard followed the newcomer suspiciously. He didn't want another desecrating his home.

"That's why I am leaving...." With that Rikku jumped from the second story window onto the rood of the neighbouring building. He turned back and waved with a wink and walked away.

He blinks and follows the swordsmen to find him leaning on a wall."I'm very sorry. I-I didn't mean to destroy anything."He bows and looks that him.

"This place is a cathedral...a very old one, indeed, that suffered a fire many years ago. It was abandoned years before this happened, though. I've been living here, which really only consists of sleeping and planning, for the past 6 months. You three people are the most company I've ever received here, not including the band of shadow fiends who ambushed me an hour ago." Ilyard nodded. "Oh, and the name isn't Lyard, it is Ilyard, i-l-y-a-r-d." Ilyard nodded, smirking.
