They were cool in Eccleston's run. They've outdone their welcome. -_-; Then again, I'm one to talk. I have a Dalek torch keychain on my set of keys.

I have one of the talking Daleks (7 phrases) but no-one in my office knew what it was and it didn't have a volume control.
I just had a funny thought. Can you imagine R. Lee Emry as the head of U.N.I.T.? rofl

R. Lee Ermy is all theatrics. He was relevant at one point, but I think he's over-played. Then again, I have a dad who is a retired Marine infantryman, so I'm pretty much convined that most Marines on television are watered-down and misrepresentations of actual Marines.
Also, I almost got the talking Dalek, but decided the torch would be more useful. The light on it is really powerful.

Gunny is stereotypical to be sure. That's what makes him funny. It was always the outtakes that I really liked. Things like: "You can't say Numb Nuts on the History Channel?" Been around Marines all my life and there are a few htat are just like that. A friend of ours was on patrol with his .45 (back in the day) and was twirling it and managed to bypass the grip safety and shoot himself in the foot. Nothing bu respect for them but they do make you wonder sometimes.
Any other nominations for TimeLord status or other Dr. Who aliens/creatures?
I was thinking of Mick Jagger as the Face of Boaz but he still has his body connected.

I suggest Lady Gaga for the title of Time Lord.

Lady Gaga doesn't meet all the Timelord requirements. There's no proof that she can regenerate and she doesn't really involve herself with time and space. Flava Flav is close to being a Timelord than she is.
No, I'd say that Gaga would be one of those tree-like aliens from the first Cassandra episode when Eccleston was The Doctor.

Pentigan I suggest Lady Gaga for the title of Time Lord. I'm not a fan of Lady Gaga but to be fair, provide a list of qualifying attributes and we'll consider the nomination! With the limited exposure I've had to her she strikes me more as the female equivalent of Capt. Jack.

Ramona Mantis ... Dude, I second the nomination for Gaga as Harkness. Have you noticed the way she seems to be attracted to the flavor of the month? Straight, Bi, Lesbian, and kill almost everyone in her videos?

Okay, I am gonna revise my original nomination, Gaga is so Harkness's gender-flipped clone (Or ancestor).

Sea Smokie Ramona Mantis A most appropriate conclusion. They'd be flattered. Could be Cylons (old school) as well. Maybe they're a rare cross between the two? Cybermen/Cylon Love Child! But sincwe neither know 'love' wouldn't they just be a child of Assimilaion gone wrong?

Assimilation is a Borg thing and both races are too much cyborg/mecha to be borg based.

You become a cyberman. I don't know the borg. Or Cylons, to be honest. I just hear my nerdy family talk about them.

Not sure you'd want to call it assimilation. Last I saw the cybermen just cut off your head and threw your head in their robotic bodies. The Borg use nanotechnology but most of the basic human/humanoid body remains intact. Cylons were just plain machines. In the new Galactica series their technology has advanced to a cybernetic life.
