The Bijoux Digital Malevolence The Bijoux Digital Malevolence I really don't get the whole "girl power" and "girls-kicking a**" thing...hows it any difference from a male character? Well, because it is different, but I mean, whats the big attraction to this sort of thing? I really don't care what gender/race/etc the main character is, as long as their character was written well and portrayed well, then I'm happy. confused Because girls are sexy when they kick a** and guys are rough and tough. At least that's how it is in a movie like Sucker Punch. I can't say the same for The Descent. They didn't seem so sexy in that. I suppose. I think its more of the thinking from the start that 'girls cant do things as well as guys' so then the whole idea of switching roles came into play more, but now it seems a bit over done on some movies and seems more or less that they just did it in hoping to gain a wider audience. this movie however, doesn't seem like one of those movies, but seems much more fitting for the main character to be female. Where as a movie like Tomb Raider seems more like it really wouldn't matter who was the main character, though that movie was ridiculous due to the fact that all the men in it seemed like they had the intelligence of an apple. Also, I was really surprised that I liked The Descent, when I saw the trailer years ago I thought it would be terrible but after watching it when it came on DVD I was surprised that it was actually a pretty good movie. Never saw the second one though. I love The Descent. I own it actually. I don't have much desire to see the sequel though. It doesn't look very good... I don't own many movies, because I have trouble watching them more than once since I have good memory about those things, just like with books. Except I buy books because I hate used books. Most of the movies I own are foreign movies that no one really seems to have heard of.

If I didn't watch so many movies online for free, I'd probably have a big collection aswell. My sister has like over a thousand.....

Apparently this isn't getting too good of reactions in the test screenings or whatever...

@ ff wave length gg: Damn... I hope it's just been watched by people who were too dumb to understand what was going on, like most movies I end up liking that have bad reviews.
@ Digital Malevolence: Damn...

ff wave length gg Vanessa Hudgens, though? Why. I doubt she can act. gonk But does this really come off as a movie where acting matters though? lol All she has to do is put on skimpy clothes and kick some a**. I do want to see this film though. I'm sure the action will annoy me after a while, but I'm real curious as to how the relationship of the real world/dream world works.

I have my doubts whether or not she can even do that.

It's been a while since I watched the trailer, but I don't remember it striking me as an "sweet lord I simply must see this" kind of movie. I mean, it started off all asylums and dream worlds and it was looking good, but then it turned into sexy girl fighting scenes and I lost interest... neutral Just not my bag, I guess.
Visually, though, it looks nice. If I ever saw it it would be for that reason.

I'm surprised people are actually excited for this.
I saw the trailer for the first time last night (yeah, I don't really watch TV) and I instantly thought it's a cheap rip-off of, say, Machine Girl and the like, only without the gore (and of course, with a serious attitude). I'm not saying that's what it's gonna be.
Anyway, do not want.
