Stephan's remark caused Koorie's eye to twitch, and she was so tempted to kick the boy right at the chompa. How dare that blond-headed bimbo have the nerve to call her 'stuck up'; oh if only the stupid git knew what she'd been through. Teeth clenched and her blood starting to boil, she made a grab for the locket, snatching it from Aphrodite's hands as she felt a vein begin to pulse on her temple. This was so stupid.
The instant her skin touched the locket, Koorie felt the strangest sensation running up her arm. It was a mixture between a rather inviting warmth and an absolutely frigged cold, and it certainly put the breaks on Koorie's mind yet again as she tried to figure out how this sensation was possible. A very slow breath was released from her lungs as she realized she'd held it in. Time came back to her and she glanced at Stephan still trying to keep the chompa down, then turned her attention to Aphrodite.
"How exactly is this all supposed to work...?"

"Oh don't give me that look!" he snapped at her. He could see the urge to kill rising in her eyes and he didn't give a s**t. "Look, I don't care what your issue is, but get over yourself. Make a friend, unload your s**t on them...and trust me, it'll feel a lot better than bottling it up," he said, eyes coloured with disdain.
Needless to say once the bitey thing had stopped going for his eyes he was feeling far more relaxed. Didn't hurt that he was kind of having fun with his vines.....they were so neat! He kept calling out more, moving them around, seeing how far they could go (Pretty far) and picking stuff up to see how much they could lift....more than his scrawny little arms! Man! This would be so cool....if only grumpy Mc angrypants weren't here to ruin the sheer awesome of his planty buddies. The only problem was the chompa kept biting through them and he needed to replenish the vines with non bitten ones....he really was starting to wonder where they all came from till he started feeling a touch worn out. Ah....that's where.
Aphrodite pouted a little. "You've got a bit of a listening problem...I told you....you need to listen to your beacon. What does it tell you? If you just open up your shut off heart to it you'll understand." She sighed a little. She was getting a little tired telling her the same thing time and again. She took a peek at her silver pocket watch and pursed her lips. "Can we hurry this along? I don't want to miss Supernatural," she said, looking a little miffed.
She laid down on her back and continued watching them. Blehhh, this was always the boring part, getting yelled at for being crazy and then that moment of belief....man, so long as she didn't take so long as the last girl! MAN! It took forever! At least she had a partner to save her a**....stubborn twit.
This time Stephan did offer a little help, even if he still didn't like her one bit.
"Just relax, clear your mind, let it talk to you. It wont use words, it'll like....iunno, put the words in your mind what you need to know as you need it. Stop ignoring it and thinking it's a load of crap and you'll be able to hear it." Maybe that would help a little better...Aphrodite didn't exactly explain it the best...but since he always held out a small belief that magic and s**t could be possible....maybe that was why he had a bit easier time waking up to it.

"Friends? What a complete load of crap. 'Friends' are nothing more than a bunch of people pretending to be nice to you in order to get what they want from you. Once they have it, they leave." God she hated when people told her she needed 'friends' for her issues; they knew nothing about her and had no right to tell her what she needed.
The strange sensation her hand was getting from the locket took her attention back to the matter at hand, and she slowly opened her first to really look at the golden trinket. In the false, florescent lighting of the room it twinkled a little, almost like it had a mind of it's own, and very slowly Koorie let out a breath as she attempted to clear her mind. Stephan's attempts to help her, however, only made her more irritated. Eyebrow twitching a little, she did what she used to do in the hospital and drew herself completely out of reality and into herself.
Her body turned completely ridged at that point, her breath slowed a bit, and through several minutes of this meditative state her body began to relax. Gradually the temperature around her began to grow colder, her breath forming into a mist. Very slowly ice began to creep up her arm, starting from the palm holding the locket, then picked up speed once it reached her elbow to cover the rest of her arm and working it's way over the rest of her body. With a sharp gasp, Koorie opened her eyes with wide surprise and the ice completely covered her, cocooning her for only a second before shattering into a fine powder to reveal the newly outfitted Koorie.
Standing there, blinking, Koorie looked down at herself and sweatdroped. Her black and bland uniform shoes had been replaced with white high-heeled sandals that wrapped over the top of her feet and fastened around her ankles with a golden buckle. Her skirt was now slightly longer, falling just above her knee caps, and was made of some sort of shimmery light blue fabric that was thin enough to allow for numerous folds as it hung down over her hips. Her shirt was no longer that lame yellow sweater-vest, but instead was a snow white bustier-style corset with its string tied in the back in a large bow at the base of her spine. Her hair was pulled up into a ponytail, hanging in lush blue curls down her back while a few long strands fell into loose curls from the sides of her face. Snowflake earrings dangled and sparkled as Koorie turned her head to look at Aphrodite.
"What the hell was THAT!"

"Then talk to a therapist." God she was such a bitchy chick....man if he wasn't gay he'd probably be feeling his testicles shrinking up the sheer second she opened her big stupid mou--......okay, there he did feel them shrink uncomfortably when the ice covered her in a way that left not much to the imagination. Eeeeew.....why couldn't he be working with a guy? Preferably buff and studly? (*coughs* Eloquent as always =/////=;;;; )
Stephan stuck out his tongue in disgust. Ew....ew....ew....he needed some eye candy to make him feel better... "Wanna help me finish this thing off so I can never see or talk to you again?" he asked rather awkwardly.
At both questions Aphrodite giggled playfully. "That sweety was your beacon working....finally....and Flower," she said to Steph....probably just because she hadn't bothered to catch his real name....probably because she didn't really care... "You'll probably want to keep in touch with one another. You'll find yourselves running into a lot more of those little guys and even some kids like you that follow Thief. They'll attack you and hurt you as badly as they can...you'll want all the friends you can find."
She couldn't help but let her grin broaden as Stephan gave Korrie a wary look. Oh, he didn't like that.....heeee! How funny! Poor boy. Well, tough cookies for him, he was going to need her....his powers were really best for detaining an enemy.

"Tch." Koorie crossed her arms, glaring at Stephan with blood red eyes that held complete detest. "Fine, whatever... I'd rather just get this whole damn thing over with."
The question now came down to how the hell she made this thing work. Obviously, her powers had something to do with ice, that much had been clear when she'd transformed. The question was, why did she have the strangest urge to sing a tune; was she really that crazy? After a few mental arguments with herself, Koorie rolled her eyes; it wasn't like this whole thing was totally mental at all, so what the hell, right? Besides, it was sort of strange that she felt like she had to sing something specific.
Chewing the inside of her cheek, Koorie took a deep breath and started to hum, and after a few notes in nearly freaked out as once again ice began to cover her arm. This time, however, it melted down into her fist, then began growing out into what appeared to be a crude excuse for a sword. Instead of the long, graceful blades most people thought of, this ice blade was uneven in thickness, a little on the short side, and looked like it could have seen better days. Oh yeah, this was certainly going to kill a furry-filled furball.
"What the hell kind of s**t weapon is this? Even flower-boy's vines are better than this pathetic excuse for a weapon!" She turned to Aphrodite, furious for having thought this idea would have worked.

"HEY! Don't dis my vines! They're the shits!" he said excitedly. "PLUS....so kinky," he purred, half to himself as mental images started flooding his mind. most of which most likely Koorie would not like to know. At least she wasn't the star in any of those images. He liked to think he had far better taste. "Besides, maybe it was your crappy humming. Why don't you try to do it right even if it makes you feel silly....think I don't feel silly with this?" he asked, motioning to his rather girly looking hair clips. They looked stupid....but the vines were totally awesome.
He let the vines come a little closer to him. "Now come on, hurry up and skewer this thing so I can stop this....it's kinda tiring," he said, sounding a little annoyed. Oooohhh...but he would have so much fun practicing with his plants later! He'd have to see if he could control other plants than just the ones he created....or if he could create something other than vines...or exactly how far his powers went!
"He's actually right sweety. Your weapon will show just as much as you put into it. If Petals had held back he maybe could have created one vine that wouldn't be able to support its own weight." She rolled onto her stomach and propped her head up on her palms. "Don't restrict your powers, they're a part of you. Now beat that chompa and you two can go home and be BFFs!" she said excitedly. Okay, she was aware their friendship would most likely be a little strained, but they were all the other had, they would need to work together, especially if...oh, she should probably tell them about that....but they weren't really listening to her. She did sulk at that thought. For some reason Koorie seemed to be reacting better to Stephan....what was that about? Ahh, maybe that just meant they would work well together. Their powers wouldn't compliment each other so they wouldn't be able to really form a team, but at the least they could watch each other's backs.
"Don't know why you keep getting all snippy with me," she mumbled, sulking a little. "I mean I did only give you weapons and cute new outfits..."

Tapping the pathetic looking blade on the ground, Koorie took a deep breath and side; this was ludicrous, all of it was! But, going completely bat s**t wasn't exactly the best course of action. After all, one needed to stay calm even in the midst of crazy town if they wanted to keep their head on. And, in all honesty, Koorie rather liked having her head attached.
And if singing was going to help her through this in some twisted freakin way, then by god she'd sing; it was, after all, the first instrument she'd mastered. Opening her mouth, her voice came out pure and easy, the notes forming simply as if she'd known the song all along... which was strange since she'd just hummed it for the first time only a minute ago. Finishing the last, high note with a strong finality, she stared in surprise at what had once been a completely useless weapon.
In her hand, she was now holding a rather wicked looking blade attached to a long pole of ice, similar to a naginata. At the butt end of the pole was another smaller blade, closer to a spear head. All in all, this was certainly a step up from the piece of crap she had before.
A very slow, and rather cruel smirk came over her face and her blood red eyes settled on the Chompa. "Lets get this over with, hm?" After all, the sooner she got this over with, the sooner she could call her therapist and see about getting some anti-stress medication. This had to all be a stress induced hallucination after all.

Stephan laughed a bit. She really was a complete twit...it was sort of impressive her level of denial if nothing else. At least her power which seemed linked to her voice....well at least her voice was nice. "Can't you just wait for us to get on the road with this?" he said in a feigned excited tone. "You could make your power some kind of ice-themed Broadway musical set," he said, smiling half to himself. He'd pay to see that in all honesty. It was just so far-fetched and ludicrous that it could make for a damn fine story....or...at least it would be far-fetched and ludicrous if it weren't just what he was watching...what a shame that the wonder of what might be was sort of over shadowed by the here and now.
He lowered the vines to an arm's length away from Koorie. She could take the thing clean in two with one well placed swipe. And unlike her, Steph's first plans when he finished this was to take some pics of his super cute new outfit. He had to wonder if it would be horribly irresponsible to use his vines on normal people and outside of any battle-like situation....he probably would get s**t for it...but that was only if he was caught for it....heh, he couldn't wait to take those pics and play around with his vines and other plants!
Watching the two Aphrodite had to sigh a little. How boring....if she'd known the fight would take this long and be this uneventful she'd just have gone straight home after giving them their beacons....Stephan seemed to figure it out mostly on his own anyway, it would've just been a wonder if Koorie could have.
She swung her legs over the piano and dropped to the floor, casually wandering over near the windows to look outside as if something more interesting than magical.....girls were out there. Of course to her they did seem a little mundane....but there was something else on her mind, something that would just be oodles of fun later on, a thought that brought a secret smirk to her lips. She took a step and stood up on the windowsill, leaning against it. "Hey, hurry up with that and then ask any questions...there's something exciting going on that I don't wanna miss," she purred.

Her weapon sliced easily through the chompa, surprising the girl a bit, considering that her weapon was ice. Even more curious was the fact that the ice wasn't burning the flesh on her hands with sheer cold. With a sneer, Koorie turned on Stephan. She was sick of this p***k and his uppity attitude and the fact that he was absolutely useless when it came to fighting. "If you can't find a way to shut your damn mouth, I'll shut it for you."
She then turned her foul mood onto Aphrodite. "Then why don't you start telling us some actually usefull information. All you've done during this whole thing is give us vague answers that only bring up more questions, lay about on an out of tune piano and pretend to play on it, and make useless remarks about how we don't know what we're doing."

Stephan was a little impressed with the ease the blade seemed to have. He would've assumed it would be too cold to hold onto....but as he walked over to look at the chompa he noticed marks left from his own weapon....perhaps the vines were poisonous? Maybe it just meant they were immune to the effects of their own weapons....he had to wonder if she wold be immune to the poison on his....but he refrained from testing that theory....he also chose not to go over and touch her weapon. Frankly with her current anger he figured she'd most likely hurt him....a safe bet really.
While Koorie bitched at both of them he sort of...tuned her out and spread a hand, staring at it until more vines appeared just enough to see them, but this time they sprouted flowers much to his obvious glee. He seemed excited by the sight of the flowers, possibly because it meant he could create other vines...but it looked like wines were the limit....but he wondered about already grown plants.
Aphrodite watched as Stephan played with his powers, ignoring Koorie's uppity attitude. She eventually looked back at her though and smile sweetly. "I don't HAVE to tell you anything really," she said softly. "Those powers I gave you don't work on me I'm sorry to say....and I'm the one that gave them to you, what makes you think I can't take them away if I so chose?" At this Stephan did perk from his flowers to shoot Koorie with a dirty look. It seemed he enjoyed his powers too much to have them taken away already. "You may ask me questions if you want answers...I mean, there's a lot you may want or need to know, but only you know what you care about," she said, sticking out her tongue and shrugging her shoulders.
Bleh, this girl was so uppity! At least most others were a little better behaved when she gave them their powers....but this one? Oh no, she was angry! And for what? Because Aphrodite didn't know what she wanted to know? Snooty little b***h. Aphrodite stood and walked over to the window she'd come in by. "If you have nothing to ask though, I'll just take my leave," she said.
