Oooh, such a pretty day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, the children laughing~ Only one way to make this day perfect....ooh! And here she came! It was like the cherry atop her chipper sundae. She'd already mucked with a couple kids this week, but one more for good measure, right? She heard wind the Thief was up to some shenanigans and she just couldn't allow herself to be one-upped. She especially couldn't let others think that Thief had more cute little kiddies on her side.
When the locket and barrette in her hand began to shudder eagerly as the girl drew near she could feel her own excitement grow. She loved this part, sometimes they thought she was full of s**t, sometimes they looked at her with doe-like eyes full of wonder....this one looked like one of the former. She looked so...surly. Someone could use a hug~
When the door to the music room began to open she quickly posed herself draped over the piano in old-fashioned style, her clothing loosely covering just what needed to be. She held out the locket in her hand by the chain, watching it sway back and forth like a pendulum. "Why hello there little sweethearts," she cooed when the door opened. "It's...." she paused and gleefully bit her lip, "ice to meet you," she giggled. EEE! The pun! How she loved it! She saw the boy peek his little curly blond head in with a baffled look and it was all she could do to refrain from squealing at the cute. s**t....she didn't have a pun for him. Ah well, he was a public school kid only there to look at the facilities and practice on the piano. He probably wouldn't mind being second fiddle....oooh she was on FIRE with these puns today!
"Your story is about to begin..." she purred.

Koorie was already in a foul enough mood, having to allow the curly-haired blond boy to follow her to the music room. Of course, had she known exactly what lay behind the music room's door, she probably would have spun around on her heels and marched on outside to practice under the shade of one of the trees.
The blue-haired girl knew something was wrong the second she opened the door and saw a woman sprawled out over the top of the piano. Her face morphed into an expression of extreme displeasure and she crossed her arms. "Oh great, there's an escapee from the psych ward."
Keeping an eye on the bizzar woman, she fished into her book bag and pulled out her cellphone. Despite the potential danger of a psych ward patient, something she knew quite well from first hand experience, she remained calm as she flipped open the phone to call to the hospital.

Needless to say Stephan wasn't too pleased either...I mean he could have at least gotten some smoking hotty with a slamming bod...ugh, stupid piano in his own school had been put out of commission. He had checked out a couple people at this school. The guy with a ponytail and purple hair did have a pretty great butt and did have that malicious look in his eye....he liked that type.
However...this chick....she was just a bitter person. Ugh, at the least she could be super tsundere so he could have something to laugh at. But no. If she WERE she would at least show a little that she thought he was super cute...which he totally was.
When he saw the woman he gaped a little but quickly pulled it back and put the cute act back on. "Wow, she's super pretty!" she said in feigned awe. "Is she a teacher here?" he asked Koorie, batting his big green eyes at her. But he did have to wonder....what was this about a story? And psych ward? Maybe she wasn't a teacher....but why the hell would she be in the school if she wasn't a teacher? Wouldn't someone see her and think it a touch odd?
Aphrodite pursed her lips. And here she went through all the trouble to set up a great scene for them to walk in on...how could they not appreciate her? At least the blond cutie called her pretty. Ah well, take what you can.
After sitting up and flitting her legs to the side of the piano she smiled sweetly. She hopped off the piano and pointed behind them in the hall. The sounds of something shuffling could be heard. "Oh sweety....that's not the thing to do at a time like this," she said in an oddly sympathetic tone. "Now, be a doll and come over here, you might want these," she said, holding out the locket and flowery barrettes.

"No, she's no teacher here." Koorie snapped at Stephan, glaring at him with a look that could strike one dead on their feet. It was bad enough that there was a psychopath in their school room, and she didn't feel like having to worry about some stupid boy running into danger. That wouldn't look good for the school if he was killed or abducted by an intruder.
Taking a step out to put herself between the two blondies, she turned her cold and level gaze back to the moronic lunatic draped all over school property. Of course, now the strange woman was sitting, but it still didn't make her any less dangerous. Koorie's lip twitched a bit as she sneered at the woman while she spoke. "Don't call me 'sweety'."

What the....he watched as his hostess got between himself and the woman. Was she trying to protect him or something? Okay, sure he was small....well really small but....actually okay, he wasn't sure where that thought was going. She looked like she could take someone out if only out of sheer rage-filled hatred. He'd watch that.
...though....the sounds behind them were getting louder. He tore his eyes away from the two women having a battle of gaze to look down the hallway. He yelped and jumped when he saw several furrballs with gnashing teeth and frothing at the mouth scuttling rather quickly towards them. He shoved Koorie from behind to clear her from the door and slammed it shut. "WHAT THE HELL?!" he cried in a rather high-pitched tone.
Aphrodite dangled the locket mockingly with a knowing smile on her face. "Oopsies, they're here sooner than I thought they'd be," she giggled. "Weeeeell?" again she held out the beacons almost mockingly. She could see it in Stephan's eyes he looked ready to believe her after seeing those bitey little bastards.....but the blue-haired girl....ahh she was a stubborn one. Maybe if she had been the one to get a good look at them....well her tone would probably change after they gnawed through the door, she could wait.
"Those are chompas....and trust me, a door isn't going to keep them out for long. But with these you can stop them~"

Koorie had not been expecting to be pushed, and stumbled forward as the door was swung shut by mop-head. Typically, when someone pulled something like that, she's break them in half in the slowest and most painful way possible; in this case she'd be making an exception, considering the boy's reaction to whatever the hell had freaked him out.
Giving the woman a skeptical look, Koorie snorted and rolled her eyes. "Oh, right, because accessories are going to help protect us from anything. Which ward are you from because I'm sure that they've noticed your absence."
Of course if there really was something coming down that hall, and from Stephan's reaction there certainly was something to be alarmed of, they would need to have something to use for protection. As much as Koorie loved using her smooth and now effortless maneuvers in jujitsu, it was a safe bet that she was the only one in the room who was a walking weapon. Striding across the room to the chalk board with a purposeful air, Koorie grabbed the wooden pointer stick from the side of the board and glanced over at Stephan. "I suggest that when the s**t hits the fan, you stay out of my way." Pausing for a minute, she motioned to a closet in the corner of the room with her chin. "You also might want to arm yourself with cleaning supplies; burns like hell if you shoot chemicals into someone's eyes."

Dear GOD so many teeth! Stephan remained frozen in place with his back to the door to hold it closed. He looked to the woman mockingly dangling the locket and barrette. He found his eyes were oddly drawn to the flowery thing....but damned if he could explain why. But the ice-b***h had a point, a meter stick and chemicals sounded a lot more painful than trinkets. Sure it was cute, but he had a feeling it wouldn't be the most useful thing unless he was trolling for a**.
"She may be nuts...but that....that THING in the hall sure as hell is real....and the teeth are like.....big as your head!" he said, voice still shrill and freaked right the hell out. "I'm not sure a stick will be enough...." he said, jerking a little when one of the chompas jumped into the door, shaking it.
Aphrodite sighed and laid back down on the piano. Well whatevsies. "The door wont hold them for long and you lil stick wont do much good....you can always try these and try your luck~" she chimed, swinging the locket. "What could it hurt?" She giggled and grinned at Koorie. Ahhh, she knew the type. Koorie wouldn't believe her until she saw Stephy transform....hell even if she got her hands on the locket she'd probably only be able to feel its power, but wouldn't be able to use it. Ahh, damned skeptics.
"Now come over here sweety, holding the door wont help any....nor will being in denial like her," she said, nodding towards Koorie. Hm, she could at least tell by the look in his eye he was highly considering it, and judging from the sounds at the door....ah! There it was. The teeth began shredding through the door like it was nothing, making the poor lil blondie dart away from it in panic again.

"A stick is far more useful than a stupid necklace. What would I do with it, hope that whatever that thing is swallows it and chokes on it?" Koorie spun the stick calmly in her hand, eyes narrowing at the door as whatever behind it began attacking.
"Give me one damn good reason why that necklace is my best chance, and maybe I'll listen." Her left foot slid forward as she took a stance that she'd practiced so many times. Jaw set firmly enough that her neck muscles were beginning to ache, Koorie's eyes flitted about the room, taking note of every single item in the immediate reach and thinking exactly what uses they could become in combat.

When Stephan saw the teeth biting through the door he ran over to the weird woman, accepting the silly little hair clip. Sure it may do nothing, but on the odd chance it did actually do something at least he had it. Maybe Koorie would smash the crap out of it with a stick....maybe it would eat the stick. Maybe the crazy lady wasn't so crazy and the accessories would actually help them, he had no clue, but he clipped that silly gay flowery clip into his hair and ran to grab some of the chemicals Koorie had mentioned before. He held out hope that he wouldn't need to rely on the hair clip to save his a**.
"So uh....do....do we have a plan for this?" he asked Koorie a little stiffly. "I dunno about you but I don't make it a habit of getting into fights....let alone with balls of raging fur and teeth...." Ah...Stephy was a lover, not a fighter. He had no clue how to fight with another human let alone a psychotic furry....whatever it was. Something about punching and kicking....but he really didn't want any fleshy bits close to that thing's mouth...it DID just bite through a door...
Aphrodite sighed a bit. Well...even if he only halfheartedly believed it was a start. She could sit and watch with Koorie's locket till she was ready to join in properly...of course...Stephan wouldn't actually transform until he opened up to it....but he was on the right track. "Right, well just lemme know when you wanna try it the right way~" she cooed, propping herself up on an elbow as she boredly started plunking the piano keys.
She watched with a hint of interest as the chompa wriggled through the opening in the door, eyes set on the two meat-sacks it planned to gnaw a whole straight through. Ooooh, and there it went, scuttling towards the girl.

Koorie rolled her eyes as the boy grabbed the stupid, fru-fru hair clip, then turned her attention to the door as whatever it was on the other side broke through the door. Her hands tightened around the pointer stick as the ball of fur and teeth came through the hole.
"Turn the nozzle on the spray bottle a full two turns, that'll make it a stream instead of a spray. Aim for either the mouths or, preferably, the eyes or nose." She barked out at Stephan as she realized that the... the thing was coming straight at her. With the grace of a fighter, she lept up onto a desk to get herself into a better position, then swung the stick down at the creature once it came into range, aiming for a blow between it's beady little eyes.
As Aphrodite began to tinkle the piano keys, Koorie felt her mouth twitch with displeasure; she did not enjoy the fact that the piano clearly needed to be tuned up yet again. More importantly, however, she did not appreciate the fact that this smug psychopath just sat there and watched with an all knowing attitude while someone's stupid, rabid dog-thing attacked. "If the 'right way' has anything to do with stupid, piece of crap accessories that you found at a second hand store, then you had better have a good explanation for it aside from the obvious reality that you're out of your mind."

"Don't give me that look!" he snapped rather stiffly. He knew she thought he was a twit for grabbing the clip, but hey, at least he wasn't the stubborn fool that completely denied the possibility.
When he saw the little creeper hit like a hacky sack by the stick quickly shake it off and start charging once again he tensed up and clutched onto the barrette. That just wasn't right! She hit the damned thing pretty freakin hard! How could it still be leaping up for more? And....why was his clip giving him an odd feeling? While Koorie distracted herself with the furrball he looked at the barrette. Sure, it was girly and gay....but why did it make him feel...something? He couldn't put his finger on it....it was like the clip was trying to....calm him down? This story the scantily clad woman was telling was sounding a lot more plausible after he finally touched the clip. Before he just found his eyes hard to pull away from looking...but now..
"HEY! What is this thing anyway?!" he demanded from the woman.
Aphrodite smiled at Koorie. Well....she'd get it sooner or later...it looked like the cutie was about to transform anyway. Hee, it's always the strong ones that take bloody forever, but at least he'd be able to save her when he did. OOOH! She loved when that happened. The strong ones that relied on their own physical strength always got so angry when they were wrong and needed to be protected.
"It's your beacon dear, with it you can onlock the magic," she said, spreading her hands and putting on the most ludicrous face of ecstasy. But she laughed at that. What a silly way to describe it. "Hee, you'll be able to figure out how to use it, just listen to it," she said, smiling from ear to ear.

Continuing her attempts to keep the rabid creature of fluff and teeth at bay, Koorie was unpleasantly met with the reality that now Stephan was no longer even remotely paying attention to her instructions about using the cleaning chemicals. Wonderful. Well, she'd worry about kicking his a** over it later, when she wasn't attempting to drive off this crazy animal, and god damn it all if this thing wasn't impossible to strike down! Keeping her grip somewhat lose in order to give her make-shift weapon some sting in it's slap, her focus came down to keeping those nasty teeth away from her.
Jumping from the desk she was on to land on a chair, she contemplated the effect of swinging one of the drum set stools into this creature's head. Unfortunately, what she didn't take into consideration was the fact that the chairs had aluminum legs, and while typically sturdy, the sudden force of her weight landing on it caused the legs to bend and the chair to crash down. Her world suddenly turned upside down as the blue-haired girl slammed backwards into the tiled floor, her breath knocked out of her and her head hitting the hard flooring with enough force to bring stars into her vision.

Listen to it....how does one listen to an inanimate object? Well....he stared at it, once again not paying attention to Koorie, regardless how likely she was to pummel the stupid out of him. Ahh, but that would have to wait regardless. He was still working on that whole...listening to the barrette. So in between frowning at it and giving it funny looks he suddenly sprouted a look of realization as if he suddenly had an epiphany just from looking at it.
He held it out and leaves and vines started growing from the rather girly flowers on the barrette, creeping up his arm and traveling over his body. It was an odd sensation to say the least but after the vines finished crawling and hit the floor they vanished and a new spankin outfit appeared beneath it. Needless to say he looked shocked...but he immediately put his new powers to work when vines crept over his fingers to coil around the pink fur ball.
Stephan's shocked look was replaced by one as if he were a child in a candy store. Oooh....this could be kinky! WAIT! NO! Wrong thought! "OMIGAWDTHISISSOCOOL!" There we go, that's the one.
Aphrodite gave a giggle after he shouted his approval. How cute....he seemed to like it. Her eyes fell on Koorie again, looking ever so cheery. "Vines can only contain~" she cooed, dangling the locket. "Ooooh, how embarrassing it is to be shown up by someone you seem to think isn't as good as you are....if that were me, ooooh would my face be red," she mused, pouting at her reflection in the locket. "Poor thing...looks like she doesn't want you....maybe you could find someone that will use you," she said, purring a little to the locket.
Oh and from the looks of it the plant vines wouldn't hold the chompa forever~ Sure they were magically enhanced vines which were stronger than regular ones...but not even that could hold something gnawing through it...maybe if it were one of Thief's children he or she would be stopped.

Even through the dazed vision, Koorie saw what had happened to Stephan, and her mind went completely still for once. And thank whatever higher cause was up there that those vines had bound back the set of furry teeth and angst, because Koorie was completely frozen. Only for a moment though, and as she regained her breath, she barrel-rolled and got up to her feet, taking a few steps away from the creature.
Her red eyes narrowed as she stared first at the creature, then the vines, then Stephan, then at the mysterious and hardly dressed woman dangling the amulet. There was something going on here, and it was something she didn't understand; she suddenly had a feeling that this was going to be like the Matrix and, if that was the case, she most certainly was going to go down that rabbit hole.
Keeping a good distance between her and the somewhat restrained beast, Koorie strode the outskirts of the room and approached Aphrodite. Stopping only a foot away from the woman, her eyes narrowed into angry slits. "I'll play this stupid game, but I sure as hell expect some answers once that Thing" she pointed at the fur-ball. "Is good and dead." She ignored the comments about embarrassment and how she'd been shown up; there was no need for her to completely lose her head right now.

Stephan took a moment to give Koorie a smug look. Ah-hah, he felt so clever especially since she was still giving that superior look. Heh....how stupid she must feel.
He kept an eye on the chompa. He was trying to squeeze the life right out of the thing...but apparently that wasn't going to work....he could try making the vines go for its eyes but that was a little mean even by his standards....he would rather be able to put it down without letting it bleed to death....maybe Koorie's powers were a little stronger than his....captive vines. They could probably have other uses, but damned if he could think of any just yet.
"Geezus, you're so ******** stuck up, no wonder you weren't busy when they asked you to show me around," Stephan said, half to himself. All that terror and panic he felt had evaporated pretty quickly after his new found powers. He felt a little more reassured that he could deal with things he they were on a level playing field.
Aphrodite sighed and crossed her legs. "He's got a point. With that attitude you'll never be able to awaken your powers, you need to open up to the powers, you can't transform if you shut yourself off." She looked at Stephan and how much he seemed to enjoy making vines sprout out from his hands and wrists. It really was hard not to smile at the sight. He seemed to be getting a hang of it pretty well. Needless to say she had a feeling Koorie would be a little more closed off with her powers.
She held the locket out for Koorie to take. "If you don't let down your walls you'll never be able to use your powers...but I guess it's still fun to watch," she said, smiling rather fondly at the thought.
