Roy sighed then turned back towards Lt. Hawkeye.
"I guess your right. I guess that settles it, he goes with me."
Roy turned around so that the Lt. couldn't see his somewhat happy face.
Back at his place Roy was changing into a new set of clothes when he noticed that Ed was waking up.
"Did you have a nice nap?" Roy joked, with a smile.

Lt Hawkeye grinned slightly when the Colonel conceded and said he would take Edward turned Chimera to his home. She knew he would most likely curse her later for it but she knew it would be best.
The chimera snarled when it heard Roy's voice it golden eyes locking onto the man. Judging it was too close to the man for comfort it jumped back. It was not happy that the man before him had been the one to best him and render him unconscious and move him to where ever he was.

"don't worry i won't hurt you."
Roy turned his back on Ed and walked away, he came back with a bowl filled with food. He set it down away from chimera Ed.
"Here you need to eat, cause if you don't you'll get weaker and we can't have that if your going to return back to normal."
Roy smiled at the chimera Ed.

Chimera Ed watched the Colonel with wary eyes as the man spoke, the human side fighting once more to claim a portion of control over the combined mind. When the man turned his back on the creature again its body tensed ready to jump him but he didn't, instead he watched the man walk away. Chimera Ed then was looking a for a way out of the room besides the door the man had exited through. He paused in his step when his sensitive nose caught the scent of food. When the bowl was placed on the ground the Chimera Ed eyed Mustang warily before slowly moving forward until he was at the bowl. Giving a quick snarl to Mustang who he deemed still too close he was quickly wolfing down the food not really chewing it. Every last inch of the bowl was licked clean before chimera Ed looked up to Mustang once more. The animal side was still wary but much more content now seeing as it had had food and the man was making no threatening moves, it allowed the human side to come forward. "Ed..." it said finally revealing a deep and warped voice.

Roy looked at chimera Ed with a surprised look.
"So you can speak, i was getting a bit worried that you couldn't."
Roy laughed a little.
"Looks like you cleaned the bowl throughly, and now i'll give you some space so you can roam around here as much as you like."
Roy smiled and walked away towards a room and lied down on his bed, and started to read a book.
Just how am i going to split Ed from that animal with out him getting hurt in the process.
Roy set the book down and closed his eyes to think about splitting Ed from being a chimera.

The chimera Ed gave half wag of his tail when Roy remarked that he could actually speak. "Can speak." the chimera Ed barked following after Roy with the bowl in his mouth. When the man stopped and lay down on the bed pulling up a book. He jumped up onto Roy's bed after a moment of hesitation and dropped the bowl on Roy's stomach. "Want." it barked.

Roy opened his eyes startled but then looked at chimera Ed.
"Alright i'll give you more food."
Roy got up and got Ed more food, he placed the bowl down in front of Ed.
"There you go."
Roy looked at Ed with a smile, "You know your just like a puppy. But besides that you probably still have that short temper."
Roy reached his hand out unconsciously towards chimera Ed ready to pet him but pulled his hand back.
What am i doing, sure i'm taking care of him but i should be finding a way to get back to normal.
Roy sighed and stood up, walking away in depressed mood.

The chimera Ed followed Roy as he moved away to get more food. When the bowl was placed down in front of him he quickly wolfed down the food once more this time seeming not to care how close Roy was. Looking up when the man said he was just like a puppy he cocked his head to the side in a confused state even more so at the mention of a temper. Animals don't have tempers and it was that part that was currently the dominant side of the chimera, Ed looked more animal than human. The chimera Ed didn't move away from the hand as it reached out instead it seemed to move closer to it until it pulled back. Chimera Ed followed the man once more to where ever he was going. "Ed...ed...ed..." it muttered as it followed Mustang.

Roy looked at what time it was, he then went over to a closet and pulled out a soft cot and some blankets. He set them down in the hallway and made a makeshift bed for the chimera Ed.
"Here you go Ed a place for you to sleep while your here."
Roy patted the bed then got back up to walk to his room. He looked back at chimera Ed and smiled.
"Goodnight Ed, come and get me if you need anything."
Roy disappeared into his room to get ready to go to sleep. He then got under the covers and was dozing off but he was to concerned about Ed. He started to toss and turn.
Ugh i can't sleep because of this madness of trying to take care of Ed and trying to find a way to split him from the animal he was melded with.
Roy sighed and looked up at the ceiling.
"What in the world am i going to do?"

Chimera Ed watched as Roy moved over to the closet and began to pull things out. Sitting down on his haunches he continued to watch as the man before him fussed with the things he had pulled out. Ed jumped up onto the bed when Roy patted it, he watched the other walk away. He gave a soft whine but lay down anyway his human side telling the animal it would not be welcome where the man was going. It told him the man did not give affection as easily as the animal wanted.
Pointed ears twitched once more with the sound of something creaking with movement from the direction the man had gone earlier. Giving a soft huff the chimera stood up stretching before jumping off the makeshift bed and moving to Roy’s room. It didn’t wait for the man to notice him before he jumped on the bed and settled next to the man curled up so it could sleep again.

Roy felt the chimera Ed next to him he looked over his shoulder and smiled sweetly.
"I guess company wouldn't hurt."
Roy patted the chimeras head then fell asleep. The next morning Roy woke up and got ready to head to Headquarters. As soon as he was ready he remembered that he had chimera Ed with him.
"Man what am I going to do with him?"

Chimera Ed gave a soft nod of agreement at the word company before laying his head down as Roy patted him falling back asleep content that whatever the man was doing wasn't making noise anymore. When Roy awoke the next morning Ed had already gone from the bed and was exploring the house. A sudden bark went through the house followed by a crashing noise. "ROY!" came Hughes' voice. Chimera Ed had the man trapped in the kitchen on the counter the fur on its back raised while it snarled at the 'intruder'.

Roy got up and rushed to the Kitchen to find Hughes cornered. He let out a laugh and went to Ed's side.
"Don't worry he's a friend of mine. No need to hurt him."
Roy pushed back chimera Ed to make sure he didn't hurt Hughes.
"Now tell me Hughes what brings you to my place?"
Roy was preparing a bowl of food for chimera Ed so he would be distracted from Hughes.

Hughes gave a pleading look for help when Roy rushed into the kitchen area then frowned as the man let out a laugh. "Call him off." Hughes commanded. Ed looked to Roy as the man approached he stopped growling but his fur was still raised as he kept an eye on the man on the counter.
"Friend?" Ed questioned fur slowly lowering as the human side of his mind argued with the animal that it was alright. "No hurt friend..." Ed nodded allowing Roy to push him back to let Hughes down off the counter. Still he watched the man however.
"Holy hell, it is Edward." Hughes gasped when Ed had spoken. "I was just coming to let you know my investigative team has begun their search of the lab. Hawkeye told me to check in with you to see if there was anything you needed from the lab to be brought here to you. She said you would be staying here to take care of Edward until he could be changed back." Hughes explained watching Ed as he watched Roy prepare food. "Hes so much like a dog, if he hadn't spoke I would have assumed you got yourself a killer guard dog." Hughes remarked.

Roy laughed when Hughes said Ed was a killer guard dog.
"Don't worry about him and at the moment i don't think there is anything from that lab that needs to be brought here."
Roy crossed his arms as he spoke with Hughes.
"So anything else you would like me to know Hughes?"
