The lights flickered on, and not one human came down the stairs, but two. The first was heavy and practically shook the whole house with his stomping, and the second quick, and light.

There came violent yelling, and then the bang of the window shutting. Tsukiya decided it was probably from the angry, heavy one. Then, he heard the clinking and clanking of items being tidied up, and thrown back into boxes.

The light one shuffled close to where the Umbreon plush lied. Through Tsukiya wished with all his might that the child would overlook him, he guessed his rings gave away his position. He felt a tiny hand grip around his belly and pull him out of the safety of his hiding hole. Tsukiya could do nothing, but pretend he was a plush.

The Umbreon hoped the child would throw him in a box with everything else, but no luck. He had taken a liking to Tsukiya and skipped off up the stairs, clutching him. Tsukiya watched as the angry, heavy human followed behind with the sweaters that the two plush had been snuggling in earlier.

"We'll stick all these wet stuff into the washer, and you get ready for a warm shower, and bed," the large human told the small one, as they carried the sweaters and Tsukiya into the laundry room down the hall.

"Awww, but I don't wanna!"
"No shower, no toy!" The larger human warned.
The child groaned, "Fiiinnnneeeee." He dropped Tsukiya into the laundry hamper on top of the wet sweaters, and disappeared back into the hall.

The human messed with the settings on the washer. Tsukiya stirred to life. He knew he was dirty, and probably did need a wash, but for sure he wasn't going to go into that washer. Thankfully, he was at the top of the hamper. He easily leapt over the brim, and landed on a fluffy carpet that cushioned his fall.

He peeked into the hallway. To the left were some lit doorways leading further into the house. Tsukiya could hear the bath running from behind a closed door, along with two pairs of voices, one of which was the small human's. To the right was the living room. He could see a large TV, and the back of a couch from where he stood. Tsukiya ran as fast as he could, and dove under the couch.

The darkness surrounded Dyfri like a blanket, covering everything and rendering the Lapras plushie blind. But dammit! Tsukiya was taken away, and Dyfri did not want to be in here alone with god knows what. He shivered and started to creep out, hoping maybe somehow he could find a way out.

The lights flickered on again suddenly, leaving the Lapras plushie exposed. Dyfri froze immediately, knowing he was very much visible. "How did this get here?" The human muttered, picking Dyfri up. "I suppose Noah wouldn't mind another one of these." The human began clearing up a bit more of the mess Tsukiya and Dyfri had made before taking Dyfri out of the room. Dyfri stayed as still as he could, but once he was thrown on top of the pile of sweaters he and Tsukiya had been nesting in, Dyfri somehow managed to get out of the basket and fell behind the basket, out of sight. As badly as he needed a wash, he most certainly did not want to be thrown into the spin cycle of doom.

Now he just had to find Tsukiya. Where would Tsukiya hide if he got out of the basket? Dyfri scanned his surroundings, trying to find a place that the Umbreon would hide in.

Tsukiya didn't know whether the humans had found the Lapras, as he was the one that had been carried off first. The Umbreon peeked out from under the couch, and decided that it wasn't a very good hiding spot. Someone could easily see his glowing rings and find him. He looked around the living room for a better place to remain hidden until the human went to sleep. It shouldn't be long from now, as the small child was preparing for bed.

Tsukiya took one quick look around, to make sure that the coast was clear, then dodged behind the back of the book stand and the wall. It was dusty, but he wasn't going to complain about dust if the other option was to be found and tossed into the wash.

Tsukiya heard doors opening, and a bit of rushed chatter. No doubt they had taken out the laundry because the kid wanted to sleep with the plush, only to find the plush had disappeared. Tsukiya heard shuffling noises of things being moved around in the laundry room. Apparently, they didn't think a plush could have gone very far from where they last saw it.

Finally, the doors closed, as they gave up looking for the night. All became eerily quiet, but the plush waited until he was sure the humans had drifted off to sleep. This wasn't new to him, since he was always sneaking out of his trainer's house during the night.

He stepped out of his hiding place, and tried to brush off most of the dust he had collected.

Dyfri pressed himself as close to the wall as he could, staying out of sight while the small human cried at the loss of his new plushie. They turned the basket inside out, searched the surrounding area even as the small human continued to cry and scream. Finally, the bigger human got the small human to shut up as the lights flickered off.

Darkness descended and a while passed by, before Dyfri felt safe enough to move. Shifting out of his hiding place, he squinted around for the tell tale yellow rings of light that indicated where Tsukiya could possibly be.

"Tsukiya?" He asked loudly as he dared in a half-whisper. "Where are you?" The lapras tried again, desperately seeking an answer from the darkness. No reply came, sending Dyfri into a minor panic attack.

[what did he do now? look for Tsukiya? But he couldn't see in the dark! Uhm. Sit around and wait for Tsukiya? But that left him at risk. What if he got found? If Dyfri had hands, he would be desperately wringing them. Instead, the Lapras pulled himself around, more that just a little frantic.

Tsukiya looked around the room, and made sure there was no light from underneath any doorways before venturing too far from his hiding place. He looked for his usual places to escape from; windows and doors. None of the windows were open because it was raining that night, and the doors were locked because the humans had gone to bed.

The windows in the living room was right above the loveseat. It wasn't too high off the ground, even for Tsukiya's plushie body. He easily leapt up to the cushions, and then onto the top of the backrest. From there, he could see he wasn't too high from the ground. If only he could open the window. It was the kind where you have to push upwards. Without the window already open a crack, Tsukiya didn't have the strength to push it open.

Being a plush with no fingers was a difficult task. Maybe he could see if the lock on the door was easier for a plush to open, or if any of the other windows had been left unlocked.

It was just then that Tsukiya remembered about the Lapras. I wonder if he is up here, as well. He sat on the window ledge, and peered around the room. He spotted something blue sitting in the hallway, like a rejected plush in the middle of the road. That was easy. The Lapras sure doesn't make himself hard to find at all.

Tsukiya found the Lapras's sense of danger lacking. Even if the Lapras couldn't see, he could have hidden somewhere instead of sitting in there where any human can just show up unexpectedly and pick him up. Whatever he does is his thing, shrugged the Umbreon plush. He didn't care too much about what others did, as long as it didn't bring him down as well.

He jumped back down to the ground, and walked halfway to where the Lapras sat, just enough so he was sure the other plush saw him. Then, he turned and walked towards the kitchen, looking for an easier way out.

The darkness was kinda terrifying, except for when lightning decided to intervene and light up the room for brief moment of time. That at least, helped him identify where the window was. Maybe he should go there and try to see if he could spot the glowing amber rings that indicated the Umbreon's presence.

Or maybe not as a flash of yellow streaked past his line of vision. Tsukiya was heading for the kitchen, so Dyfri followed suit. He wasn't sure what Tsukiya was thinking though. Perhaps the Umbreon had some sort of backup plan?

Moving as quickly as he could, Dyfri tried to catch up to Tsukiya. But unfortunately for the Lapras, it wasn't all that easy to move on land. Something that usually irked him to no end. Why was it so hard to get around on land? Usually he would have had gotten out already if it was water.

He hated how ungainly he became once he got on land but there wasn't much to be done. He moved to the kitchen to look for Tsukiya only to spot the Umbreon inspecting any possible escape routes. "Found anything?" Dyfri asked, craning his long neck to take a look around. There were several windows, a door and.. was that a cat door? "Tsukiya, cat door!" He called, making his way to it. It was flapping a little from the wind but That was fine. It just made in easier for them to get out, no?
