"Those in Terre d'Ange are scions of Blessed Elua and his companions: Anael, Azza, Camael, Eiseth, Kushiel, Naamah and Shemhazai. Each founded a province and the people who live there today are their distant descendants. There is Cassiel as well, but he did not found a province and chose to remain at Elua's side instead." Leo reached out to give the floox another scritch.
"Each of the angels gifted our people with something different and in some cases more than one thing. I revere Elua as all D'Angeline's do, but Naamah is special to me as well, being my true patron deity." Adi would hear the fondness in his voice when he spoke Naamah's name, a feeling that ran far deeper now than it once had. He smiled a little, thinking of Desiderio.

Scions? Adi made a mental note to ask someone what that meant later, but as it didn't seem especially important to understanding all this, it could wait. "Who's Naamah?"
Leo was here in Rio's rooms, so maybe it was Rio? But not everyone who ever stayed here was his, so it could really be anyone!

"Rio, actually." Leo's cheeks flushed faintly when he admitted it. "In Terre d'Ange they think Naamah a woman but..." He shrugged. His belief was a little different, but ultimately it made more sense. "The D'Angeline deity of sexuality, pleasure and desire. I am a Servant of Naamah, a courtesan, dedicated to that service since I was thirteen years old."
It would probably be a lot for Adi to take in especially since she was not familiar with D'Angeline culture.

"That's really a job?" Adi gaped, surprised and rather impressed. "That's awesome!" Not that she was going to switch from being a druid anytime soon, but still!

Leo laughed, a little surprised by Adi's expression. "It is and it is a well respected profession in Terre d'Ange. As for my marque..." He sat up and tugged his shirt off, turning so she could see his back. "It is done in homage to Naamah, it took four years to finish mine." After a moment he remembered to tug his braid out of the way, pulling it over his shoulder.

Ordinarily, she would have happily gawked at the sudden shirtlessness, but...he had flowers tattooed all the way up his back. And not just flowers, but pink flowers! The werewolf gasped with delight and put a hand out to touch without thinking to ask. It rarely occurred to her that anyone might be bothered by matters of personal space. "It's so pretty!"

Thankfully he wasn't bothered by Adi's sudden closeness and the hand on his back. He was a Servant of Naamah after all, so any cares he might have had about personal space vanished long ago. The skin where her hand rested would not feel any different than it normally would were it unmarked.

How cool was this?! Adi peered close to study it, intrigued by the little details. Just as Rio had predicted, she was fascinated. "Four years is a long time!" Most of her life, in fact. "It must have been expensive."

"Its been completed for nearly a year now." He glanced over his shoulder at Adi, smiling. "And yes, it was..." At least he thought so, but he had no real bearing on what the cost might equate to here. "...but it was worth the cost." So many years of study, practice and contracts. It was nice to be free.

"See? I told you she'd like it." Rio said from the doorway. He'd just come in, and had lingered to watch without saying anything for a few moments.
"Rio~!" Adi launched herself off the bed and bounded over to hug her parent, who picked her up and spun her, laughing. "Missedyou."
"Missed you, too." Without letting go, Love set her back on her feet, and grinned over her head at Leo.

"I was wondering when you would be back." Leo slid his shirt back over his head and moved to slide off the bed. The starry floox did not wish to be left behind, so it hoped up onto the D'Angeline's shoulder. "I can be elsewhere, if you like, so you can spend time with Adi."
He glanced over at the little creature, still a bit suspicious. "Well, now, it seems 'we' would be more appropriate."

Rio was unmistakably happy to have his daughter back, relieved beyond words that she was finally here and safe. He hugged her a moment longer, then finally kissed the top of her head and released her. "It's up to you, truly," he answered Leo. "You'll just have to hear aaall about Elik if you stay."
Adi giggled at first, then looked at Rio curiously. "Wait, how do you know?"
The god chuckled and mussed her hair. "I guessed, evidently correctly."

"I am fine with either, I just did not wish to intrude." He bit his lip a little to keep from chuckling at the situation. How could Rio not have guessed as much? Seeing as he was both Love and Adi's parent besides.
