Well this was an interesting turn of events. She was being accused of being a snake in the grass. She couldn’t help but smile, perhaps it was a family thing; they just radiated an air danger. However, with her fathers there was actually a reason to show caution. With her? She wasn’t truly dangerous by herself; Uwasa was too small to be much of a threat. The flaxen maned stallion had a point though. She was, in fact, wearing a skull. She opened her mouth to try and explain herself only to clamp it shut when Nexus began talking.
This was yet another unexpected twist. He was outright calling her a murderer. The hairs on her tail bristled. At least he wasn’t a friend of hers. If he were she might have felt bad for this.
“How dare you?” She snarled revealing small fangs. “I’m no killer! But you! You! Do I even want to know what victory it is you’re talking about?” She felt that she was being rather convincing with her little show. It helped that she had something to actually feel offended over since she already knew about the game.

Nexus blinked. She was a very convincing actress. She actually sounded mad at him. He would have to give some serious consideration to think about giving her some sort of reward or at least praise. Thinking over that could wait until the deal was sealed. He laughed in his typical conceited manner. "Not likely, sweetheart." Nexus replied with a grin before redirecting his attention back to Cain. "I think we've gone and hurt her feelings."
Cain fixed his nephew with a hard look. Did he always have to be so stupid? Was his little game really more important than his life? It was beginning to look that way. He felt about ready to lean over and bite Nexus's wing until it snapped like a piece of dried wood. Instead he sighed and beat off the feeling as best as he could. The beatings he would take for injuring the precious red-headed son weren't worth the satisfaction.
"I assume that if I say no you'll drag me off to some other destination to try again?" He didn't need the answer he just wanted to make absolutely certain that Nexus knew why he was allowing him the victory. "Then fine...you win. Congratulations. You accomplished the impossible task of getting a girl to like you before me. Really I don't know how you managed it. May be go now?"
