Karis Fujisaki

"See ya." Karis waved, and stepped into her Jetta. Starting up her car, she allowed herself to muse over her thoughts. Of course, the one sole thing worth thinking about right now, was her Nerve Gear, and getting home in time to play SAO. ALO was getting a little to crowded with the noobs and after hearing about the infamous "Death Game" being recreated again, she was all up for it. On the way back, the girl did break a speed limits, but whatever, it wasn't like there were any police cars in sight. If she did get caught, all it took was a few bribes, and she was free to go. Simple as that. Karis pulled up in the driveway of the mansion she called home. Luckily, both of her parents were abroad and there would be no problems except for the nagging of her old nursemaid, Aoi-san. And if luck favored her yet again, they wouldn't hear about the little incident she had caused at school.
Karis spit the gum she had been chewing into a nearby rosebush, and opened the door, ignoring the greetings of, "Welcome home Miss," echoing all across the entrance hall. Instead, she ran upstairs, eager to start gaming. Karis lay on her bed, the Nerve Gear safely snuggled on her head. Something bubbled up in her with anticipation, but the girl shoved it down, and instead whispered, "Link Start!"

Karis soon appeared in the Imp spawn zone, seeing as the race wasn't as popular as the others like Sylph, Undine, or even Cait Sith, the girl was comfortably surrounded by a small group of players, instead of the huge crowds on the other side. In this world, she wasn't rich girl Karis, she was the Imp Nimm. Shame the avatar wasn't any different. The first time playing ALO, Nimm had accidentally pressed randomize avatar, giving her the generic appearance of an Imp: purple hair, pale skin, yet what pissed her off was that she looked like a little girl. Too bad levels and stats didn't carry over; if anybody dared to call her a little girl, Nimm would be sure to beat that player up within an inch of their life. So she was resigned to walking with a sullen face, sword at her hip, while enduring the calls of, "Kya! How cute!" aimed at her from the many shops lining the Town of Beginnings. "Tch, annoying," she murmured. Deciding to check her menu with the regular chime of bells and noticed something strange. No log-out option. Nimm's mind froze for a split second. 'It can't be...' she thoughts. There was that tiny, unimportant detail of having not read the manual and diving right into the game, and now that she thought of it, she did vaguely remember some warning about not logging out. Oh well. Anything would be better than having to deal with the snobby pricks at her school. And better yet, it wasn't like she didn't like the VR world. But if what she saw was true, she better get training. Grinding monsters for a few hours should get her a few level ups.

Chacho

Chacho landed back in the city, pleased about her new level. She had been
working all night, and it had certainly paid off. She visited an armorer and a weaponsmith, upgrading her gear accordingly. She then went to the NPC for cait siths and leveled some of Lola's attack skills. From there, she went to grab a bite to eat.

Sitting at a corner table, quietly eating her sandwich, she listened to the low conversation buzzing around her. Stuff like, "Kato died yesterday and I didn't see him respawn!" and "Yuki ran off yesterday to that strong area and didn't come back!" Alarmed whispers surrounded her. Some people were catching on that if you died, you never came back here, and it was freaking them out.

When she was done with her meal, she went to the NPC and paid for a room. She recieved her key, and walked up stairs to take a break. Once in her room, she locked the door, and old habit from SAO, and walked over to her bed. She had this room paid for 24 hours, and she intended to utilize it. Chacho flopped back onto the bed, shutting her eyes. Lola jumped and curled up on her masters stomach purring loudly, and within minutes the two were dead asleep.

--

Chacho woke up the next morning and stretched, waking up Lola. The beast tamer pat her companion on the head and swung her legs over the bed. With a sigh, she re-equipped her armor and weapon and walked out the door. As she did so, the key to the room disappeared from her inventory. No matter, she didn't need it anymore anyway. Over the night, she had woken up many a time thinking about Taki. She had made peace with the situation. She knew he would be still training, as that was just his style, so she knew where to find him.

Within minutes, she was running across the town of beginnings through the early risers and when she got to the right area, she and Lola launched themselved into the air. She knew Taki would want to go to the dungeon soon; hell, he was probably almost on his way. So she had to hurry.

XXXCrashing to the ground and throwing up a dust screen, he disappeared in the town skillfully from the other players marveling at his speed. He stopped running in the alley, unequipping his bow and arrows and reequipping his aviators, walking slowly through the town back to his favorite vendor's cart. Upon arrival, she handed him two different cloth items, accepting the trade for half of his gold before he walked off. He also bought a teleportation crystal, and antidote crystal, and a full-heal crystal just in case. He also bought upgraded armor, and he bought more stylized casual clothes just to be frivolous with his money. Sighing, he walked through the town in his basic gear as people were talking about the glitch that occurred earlier in the morning, and they were all lucky no one got killed. THANK THE GODS. He exclaimed mentally, rounding the corner as he reached the end of Salamander spawn territory, looking straight onward at the First floor Dungeon tower in the distance. He took off running, before he took off in the fastest flight he could muster; it was time for him to start clearing the dungeon, even if it was by himself.

Chacho

Chacho skidded to a halt in the city, nearly barreling into throngs of people. She went straight to the vendors, buying healing crystals, a teleport crystal, and a few antidotes. She meandered through the city, shouldering through the crowds, she wasn't sure where she was going, she just wanted to walk. Without Taki, she didn't really know what to do with herself. She knew she was going to the advanced hunting grounds, but she was taking her time. She wasn't in a rush to go clearing the dungeon, she didn't really care.

Koku looked around, it was like nothing he had ever seen before. one moment he was in his game chair with Chacho and the next he was in a busy city full of different races of humans and creatures. All of them some form of humanoid dressed in some form of armor, whether it be leather, iron, or even some with chain mail. He looked down at himself, Leather... "This wont do... Not with how Taki stacked the mob's stats..." He walked into the armorer's shop. "Plate mail, that's what I'm talking about." He selected the metallic armor, but an alert "armor locked" popped up in front of him. "Well that's annoying... Let's check potions then..." He eventually found the potions master, "I need health potions." He threw down 50 coal and took his potions. as he grabbed them they disappeared with another alert that prompted, "potions sent to inventory". "That will do for now... Now I have to find Chacho!" He went back outside and started scurrying the city. On one of the main roads he saw a Cait Sith with fiery red hair and was shoving her way through the crowds. "Found her..." and he excitedly rushed to greet her.

Chacho

Chacho turned, she heard her name being called. Lola, draped around Chacho's shoulders lifted her head, perking her ears in the direction of the sound. The beast tamer turned to see Koku running towards her. A stupid grin spread across her face as she walked towards him. It looks like he had just logged into the game. She was far, far above him in terms of level, but she could take him into the advanced hunting grounds herself and level him quickly. And with Taki off clearing the dungeon, they could just do it together. Lola jumped off Chacho's shoulder flying to Koku and landing on his head.

Koku was overjoyed when he was acknowledged. He now had a cat-like creature on top of his head and his girlfriend right in front of him. The only thing that could make him happier is if he were on the same playing field as her. He knew he had a very powerful unique ability, but that wouldn't be enough with how Taki set up the game. He gave Chacho a hug and a kiss, and returned her pet to her shoulder. "Chacho! Sorry I'm late, I had to go to work before I could log. I got leave from work so no more issues. What's going on in game? Where's Taki? Have we found a good grind spot yet? I really need to level if I want to keep up..." He deeply inhaled after his assault of questions, fixed his tie, and continued doting on his girlfriend.

Chacho

Chacho shoved him off playfully as Lola perched back on her shoulders. Well, Taki is...somewhere. He's been avoiding me since I left him last night...Ahhh Chacho racked her mind for answers from the barrage of questions, trying to keep up. As she continued talking, she opened her menu, and tapped the "Squad Request" button, sending it to Koku. Nothing much is going on, most everyone took off to the hunting grounds, I just got back, myself. And as for grind spots, I'm headed to the advanced mobs. I'm leveling as much as I possibly can. Taki, I'm assuming, has been in the dungeon. The little girl shrugged, walking behind her companion and climbing onto his shoulders.

XXXAppearing in the plaza from teleportation, we unequipped his weaponry, jacket, armor, and bow in a matter of seconds so he could blend in easily with the other players. Sighing lightly, he looked around the area to see if he could locate Chacho. He began to aimlessly walk around the town, having players ask him whether or not he has heard about the announcement before he could take a few steps. He acted surprised, and took the fifteen minute time to act as though he really was a newb. So the players seemed to be truly helping each other out now; this was a nice change of pace from the original SAO game. After they told him everything, they parted ways as he began to search for Chacho and Koku. Whilst walking around, he also began to wonder where his "brother" was. Taki knew he logged in first, but he should have also logged in by now. He would have to wait until later on in the game to find him, for his priorities were with his angsty female BFF at this point in time.

He eventually gave up, searching at least five of the nine spawn areas with no results. Sending her a message, he then retreated back to the tavern where they first ate lunch. Ordering the same meal, he ordered two more for when Chacho would arrive with Koku, if they were to arrive at all. During the half-an-hour he was waiting, he was approached by two people inquiring about Chacho's skill from the day before. Taki claimed he knew nothing of what the skill could actually do, and that he was sure it was a bug that would work itself out when the moderators found the problem. They seemed appeased with this answer, and soon enough he was left alone. And, as impatient as he normally was, he decided to wait.

Chacho
Meet me at the tavern we went to yesterday.
Hopefully you're well, and I hope Koku is too.

See you soon.

Once again, another alert popped in front of him, "accept" and "deny." naturally he pushed "accept" and went into his inventory to double check his gear. "Well, I've got a pretty cool dagger, probably not the best for stats... but my unique ability should help some. maybe I can find a way to use it for battle." He closed his eyes and envisioned a rose in his hand, when he opened them, he was indeed holding a rose. He held it out and offered it to Chacho. "Lets go, I don't want to be noob status anymore.

Chacho

Chacho giggled tucking the rose into her hair, as her own menu popped up in front of her. New message...She mumbled, opening it and scanning it quickly. Change of plans, Koku. Time to go. Within seconds she grabbed his hand and began dragging him through the town towards the tavern. As she shouldered her way in, she instantly noticed Taki sitting at the same table they convened at yeterday. Well, theres Taki..Chacho let go of Koku and made her way to the seat, sliding onto the bench across from him.

Koku made his way and sat next to Chacho, but not before giving his dear friend a hug. "Taki, good to see you!" He sat down and saw the food where he was expected to sit. He took his fork and began to eat. "Oh wow... this is really good! What have you been up to Taki? I'm sorry it took so long for me to log, I had to finish my last day of work." Koku smirked, "And when we get a moment alone, I'd like to duel, so I can see just how far this skill will get me..." He continued eating his food and holding Chacho's hand, never breaking eye contact with Taki.

XXXSmiling as the two entered the tavern, he returned Koku's hug before he sat down. "I've been alright, other than almost dying repeatedly." He said, chuckling lightly. He opened up his menu, and expertly navigated in a few seconds so that a window popped up in front of each of them. "Once we get you to the appropriate level, and once we get to the second floor, we can then form a guild or whatever." He said, sighing lightly as he looked at the two."But as it stands right now, you might want to duel with Chacho. While she was gone, i leveled considerably more than she did and began to work on clearing the dungeon. As of now, you're sitting with the two strongest players in the game as of now." He said barely above a whisper, knowing that the other players' listening skills weren't high enough to eavesdrop on their conversation. "Oh, and before i forget..." he said, navigating through his menu once more, selecting an item and gifting it to Chacho. It was a bow with bells at the end, black in color with silver bells, that enhanced magic and defense by 15%. "Hopefully, this will be enough for you to forgive me ... Anywho, we should work on getting you leveled, Koku. Plus, you need more Col so we can get you more crystals." He said, laughing lightly before he stood up, stretching before looking back to Chacho. "Back to the island we go?" He asked, smiling lightly. He truly did feel bad for his actions, because he understood completely where she was coming from. What she didn't understand, though, was that he didn't edit his death algorithm, so if he died ... he died in the real world as well.

Karis Fujisaki

Nimm walked into town. It seemed the mass of players in the zone never decreased, and all they were talking about was how nobody could log out. If they saw the warning on the game--wait, I didn't actually read it either... She giggled at her own foolishness and looked around for an inn, but before that, she stopped by at an NPC shop to upgrade some of her gear. She didn't have enough col to get a new weapon, but she did have enough to buy some potions, and get some new armor and clothes (thankfully enough). Beginners armor was so dreadfully...drab, and it was all she could do not to spend all of her col and go on a shopping spree. In the end, all Nimm bought was a simple baseball cap, and a jacket to cover her plain blue shirt, it was getting rather cold. The girl unequipped her armor, leaving her sword, and equipped her jacket and hat over her existing clothing. She heard the growl of her stomach and groaned. Nimm hadn't eaten all day, and so, entered a nearby tavern that seemed to be bustling full of people. Not watching where she was going, she bumped into a waiter who then promptly spilled a glass of water on someone's nearby table. She gasped and turned around. "Aah, I'm so sorry!" Nimm apologized, bowing as she did so. So embarrassing!

Chacho

Chacho smiled, equipping the bows. They looked adorable on her. I've long forgiven you. I got to thinking about it last night and...She shrugged, her sentence trailing away. I was planning on going to the higher level mobs in the hunting area, but it would probably be a better idea if we just returned to the island. Chacho finished her meal, stretching, and resting her arms on the table. We can just fly there but you...She turned to Koku. I'm too small to carry you...She cocked her head to Taki.We could ju- Her voice was cut off by a surprised shriek as water spilled all over the table and onto her dress. Lola bounced up onto the table lashing her tail and hissing in surprise as her master's alarmed shout. Chacho's wide eyes found the source of the accident, bowing before them, apologizing extensively. It took a minute for the beast tamer to get over the cold shock, her cat ears were flattened against her head and her tail lashed in surprise. She barely registered the apology. She turned to the imp. I-it's okay...She squeaked. She hated water, but this was obviously just an accident. It's really no p-problem...
