Rose looked confusedly at the woman before her. So she fought in wars. Killed enemies... Who was she to judge another? Sighing, she set down the cup of tea she had just taken a sip from and frowned, looking the woman dead in the eyes. "I may be dense, but I'm not dense enough to judge another based upon their past." She said with much conviction. "As for being a female warrior; I admire people with courage. I don't reject them. To be able to fight in wars and have that called 'unheard of' is ridiculous. You had enough bravery to fight for what you believed in. I wish I had that kind of courage. I would have stopped my so-called father from harming my mother before he even could have touched her..." She added with a frown, before smirking and adding: "Besides, if I were terrified of you, I'd have run like hell for dear life when I had the chance. If I were bothered by you, you'd know it.."
Rosalyn smiled at the woman, hoping she wouldn't take her words wrong. She meant everything she said. But not as an insult. Letting out a bubbly laugh as the woman called the place a mess, Rosalyn nodded and grinned. Generally someone snapping at her would upset the girl, but something about this woman was different... She didn't intend harm... As far as Rose knew, anyway... "Of course!" She agreed, nodding as she picked up the remaining crumbs of food from the floor, oblivious to the fact that the woman probably had a broom. Tossing the crumbs outside for the birds, Rose returned to the woman and smiled at her. "What do you want me to clean?" She asked, tilting her head slightly.

Josephina Louise Antoinette 19 Priestess/Warrior "Here." she looked away from the girl as she handed her a broom. It seemed a bit difficult to pick up the tiny crumbs so she thought it would help. "Bravery? That's the first time I've heard that being used for it." he sighed, refusing to smile or show any emotion besides annoyance. She didn't know the girl enough to think of her as dense, but most people were sense to her so it wouldn't make a difference. But the truth was the fact that she was a woman warrior was quite literally unheard of, because the only other known woman was Joan of arc. No other woman dared to try and fight alongside the men. "It's good to know that I'd know."She led her to the kitchen with the dishes and pointed to a bowl of hot water that she boiled not too long ago. It only took a second for her to heat up water so they would always be able to wash dishes or take baths. Magic often proved to make life easier with its many uses. She grabbed a feather duster and began that part of the cleaning process. The whole shrine would practically sparkle by the time they were done. She moved into sweeping, now that would take a bit longer. She wasn't at all looking forward to this, so she enchanted the broom to do it for her as she went to clean something else. "Just clean whatever looks dirty."Stats: Intelligence (17/20) Strength (8/20) +magic (15/20) Magic (18/20) Sociability (10/20) Charm (16/20) Reliability (20/20) Beauty? Rosalyn smiled at the woman and nodded, taking the broom. "Thanks!" She said cheerfully. Rose was smiling and humming a sweet lullaby as she swept the floor, getting the dust and dirt out from the floor. She noticed the woman motioning her to the kitchen and nodded, leaning the broom against the wall by the doorway and following her to the kitchen. She pulled her hair back and sleeves up, looking behind her to make sure the woman wasn't watching her, before she pulled a bandage off of her back, cringing as she did so. Wrapping her hair up into a messy bun and tying it with the bandage, Rose prayed to high heavens that the woman hadn't seen the scars underneath the bandage she had pulled off.
She didn't want the woman to be angry, and truth was, the 'king' had left her with bleeding scars on her back before she tried to sneak out of the castle. She had been caught by him, and her mother had been sleeping, so she couldn't have protected her from him. Not that she would... The woman had no spine or backbone when it came to standing up for them and especially for Rose. Rose sighed softly at the thought, but went up to the bowl of hot water, continuing to hum her happy little tune as she took a dirty bowl and began to wash it until it was absolutely sparkling. Doing the same with the rest of the dishes, she finished soon after and took a dishrag, drying them off and putting them away in the cupboard. Turning around, she smiled at the woman and took the dishrag, wiping down the counters and surfaces until they shined. Rinsing the dishrag out and then wringing it dry, she smiled to herself and set the dishrag down, before returning to the broom she had leaned against the doorway and returning to sweeping, although she swept the kitchen out this time. It sparkled by the time she was finished. Leaning her head out of the kitchen doorway, she looked at Josephina and smiled. "Are there any other places you need me to clean? The kitchen's clean." She asked. "I'm happy to help!" She added with another smile.

Josephina Louise Antoinette 19 Priestess/Warrior Josephina watched her the entire time, but made no move to stop the woman. The wounds were much deeper than she thought, but Rose knew what she was doing. When she asked if there was more, she gave her a long list of chores that wouldn't make her bleed. Of course the young woman wouldn't think that up with her mind being as distracted as it is. She wasn't happy with it, but that didn't change anything. Even Josephina knew when things would be unreasonable and this was one of those things. She hated to admit it, though. "Why don't we go take a bath?" but what she said was more of a demand and less of a suggestion. Josephina had to see the wounds again do she could properly treat them. But at the same time, feigning even the tiniest but of ignorance. This would most definitely take some time, but time was on their side at this moment. She would do whatever she had to finish this. It really wasn't fair that Rose had to suffer because of her. Stats: Intelligence (17/20) Strength (8/20) +magic (15/20) Magic (18/20) Sociability (10/20) Charm (16/20) Reliability (20/20) Beauty? Rose could feel the woman's eyes staring at her, making her a little uncomfortable. Humming a little to distract herself, the girl still hoped she hadn't given away her scars. Some of them were new but most had been done over the past few years.. The healers at the castle did as much as they could to heal them, but couldn't get rid of the old scars. All they could do is stop them from bleeding. When she was asked, or rather... it felt like being told they were going to take a bath, Rose choked back her panic, swallowing down her fear of what would happen if the woman saw her scarred back, and the several self placed scars on her right arm. "U-um... I don't know if that's such a good idea--" She began to argue, backing up a little, before tripping backwards and falling into the kitchen's cupboards, knocking over a bucket of water and dousing herself from head to toe. "EEP!" She squealed, before she cursed under her breath. Now she had to undress, or she'd catch a cold. Looking away from the woman, she pushed her drenched hair out of her face and frowned. "Looks like if I didn't have a choice before, I have even less of one, now." She muttered, her face flushed with embarrassment as she awkwardly reached up and grabbed a dry dishtowel, mopping up the water from the floor and avoiding eye contact with the other girl.

Josephina Louise Antoinette 19 Priestess/Warrior Josephina nodded and led her to the hot springs, the place she met the other woman at not too long ago. She began to remove her clothing one piece at a time. With every square inch of skin exposed, another deep scar revealed itself. But it wasn't just wounds from cuts, but burns as well. Her her left side, there was a mark that was strange and almost veiny. Poison. She's been cut and stabbed more times than she could count because of war as well as the torture she dealt with after they killed the woman she loved. She thought other body as a complete abomination and believed no one would like it. But at this time she hoped it would make the girl feel better. Especially after she sees the ones on her left upper arm, under her shoulder. She cut in that place for the use of magic. Some of the spells she uses calls for blood, but not the kind that most people think of. "Are you getting in or what?" she meant for it to sound snappy, but it came out much nicer than she anticipated. Rose let out a light sigh as she was led to the hotsprings by Josephina. All she could hope was that the woman wouldn't be angry she kept the scars on her back and arms from her. She could lie and say she wasn't worried, but it would be far from true. Rose watched as the girl disrobed and got into the hot springs, almost flinching at how many wounds the woman had. It wasn't pleasant to look at, but Rose suddenly wanted to be able to heal all those wounds. She knew however, that would take time... As dense as the girl was, she wasn't dense enough to not be aware that the king had ordered most of those scars... It was enough to make the girl sick to her stomach, that the man she was supposed to call her father; the man supposed to be a wise and noble ruler... Would do such a thing. Of course he wasn't wise or noble. He was a disgusting coward who hurt people when he didn't like what they did. Rose had always been his prime target.
Suddenly Rose was snapped out of her thoughts when the girl asked if she was getting in. "Y-yes... Sorry..." She muttered as she hesitatingly undressed, before she got into the hot water. She still had bandages wrapped around her back and arms. She looked at the girl nervously as she sunk beneath the water.

Josephina Louise Antoinette 19 Priestess/Warrior "Kimi to futari de aruita ano goro no michi wa naku te soredemo zutto aruita, itsuka kimi to aeru no kana" for whatever reason, she began to sing. It could've been to calm the other woman, but she wasn't sure. She wasn't sure about anything anymore. She highly doubted that the other woman would even know Japanese. The king would never teach her such a language and Josephina was certain if of. "Nadaraka na oka no ue yuruyakani yuki ga furu todokanai to wakattemo kimi no heya ni hitotsu daisuki datta hana wo ima...
Kyonen saigo no yuki no hi kataku kawashita yakusoku omoidaseba toke dashi tenohira kara koborete" she lived this song and found it to be both beautiful and depressing at the same time. It was perfect. She smiled while singing, the first time she smiled in front of anyone in such a long time. "Nadaraka na oka no ue yuruyakani yuki ga furu todokanai to wakattemo kimi no heya ni hitotsu daisuki datta hana wo ima...
Madobe ni hitori kiride tada yuki wo mitsumeteru kimi wo omoidashi nagara garasu goshi ni kimi wo ukabe saigo no kuchitsuke shite...
Nee waratteyo mou nakanaide koko kara zutto anata wo mite iru wa
Nadaraka na oka no ue yuruyakani yuki ga furu todokanai to wakattemo kimi no heya ni hitotsu daisuki datta hana wo ima..." it was ironic how such a sad song could bring her closer to happiness- even for just a moment. "Akari wa shizuka ni shiroku some yuku machi no naka kimi ga mita saigo no kisetsu iro
Namida wo otoshita kenjitsu to wa zankoku dane kimi ga mita saigo no kisetsu iro
Shiki to kimi no iro yagate kierou yuki wa tokete machikado ni hana ga saki kimi ga mita "shikisai wa" sotto tokete yuku
Kotoshi saigo no yuki no hi
Machikado ni ichirin no hana sora wo miagereba saigo no yuki ni tenohira koborete" she slowed to a finish before her face fell and she stared into blank space. The other woman's wounds were bad, but not as bad as the other woman thought they were. They were worse... But no worse than Josephina's. Not nearly as bad... As the woman started singing, Rosalyn started to relax a little. No-one knew this, but Rose knew Japanese. Or enough of it to understand the song the woman was singing. After the woman finished, a small smile crossed Rose's face. She was remembering a Japanese song she had memorized in secret. With little to no hesitation, she began to sing in Japanese, her shy sweet voice filling the area, as she looked up at the cherryblossom trees around the hot springs. She was almost certain the woman would be surprised she knew Japanese. The king didn't approve of it, to say the least. She had received a few bruises from him for it, but she didn't regret learning the song. She didn't know much Japanese as she had just recently started learning it, and would mispronounce words all the time. But she really wanted to learn. It was a beautiful language to her. Blushing a little as she finished her song, she looked to the woman and smiled a little shyly. "I-I started learning Japanese in secret... Your song was beautiful. I only understood half of it, but I'd still like to learn more." She said with a sheepish grin. "Japanese really is a beautiful language..." She mumbled to herself, looking off into space.

Josephina Louise Antoinette 19 Priestess/Warrior She gaped in wonder at the girl's singing. Who would've thought that she could sing like that considering the type of people she lived with? Josephina straightened her face back into a scowl before giving a brief complement. She couldn't show Rose that she cared. Because to her, that would mean weakness and weakness was unacceptable. She put a bit of soap into her hands and rubbed them together before smearing it across her pale arms, thighs, chest... Everywhere. A place where she had a fresh stitch broke and bled down her arm. She cursed and rinsed it lightly before quickly washing her hair as soon as possible so she could get out and fix up her small wound. Magic used a lot of energy, so she never used it to heal herself. "Are you done? If you are, please come with me." she winced at her own politeness before storming off to the place that held her medical supplies. A thread laced through the needle and threaded through her skin in a perfect pattern and closed it up. She wrapped a bandage around it and tugged on it tightly.
