Night Kunoichi Yurei Surana Night Kunoichi I recently had an anonymous reviewer comment just to state : "It could have been longer." I was so mad! >.< I've had a few anonymous reviewers on some of my stories. The negative anon reviews are the worst, though. (Closest to a negative review that I've had so far is just someone making a remark on my earliest chapters, because I didn't know that new quote meant new paragraph, but I've seen a lot of them on my friend's stories and it just pissed me off.) Seriously, it's like they use the "Anonymous" thing as an excuse to be an a*****e! D:< Yeah. There's a saying, "Give someone a mask and they will show their true face." Although I can't remember who it's by... Reminds me of this one episode of the Twilight Zone...My sister records episodes and I'm usually in the room when she watches them.

Although I can't remember who it's by... That's a nice quote and it fits the situation perfectly; which is actually rather unfortunate. I've had the anonymous reviewer thing exploited before as well, but the abusers started using my review section as a weird chat forum. To remedy that, I disabled the automatic acceptance feature of anon reviews for a while until the person stopped for good. It's a good feature for FFnet to have, really. Saves from unnecessary anon drama. And... sorry for getting off topic but OMG thank you so, so much for the Kitten Crescent Moon~! I kinda wasn't expecting to receive anything because, well, I'm the vice cap. It's really nice to be thought of and appreciated, Kunoichi sweatdrop

I honestly can't say I have had a anon negative review yet, but I know a friend who has and it is rather frustrating because I usually admire my friends writing skill so at the end of the day I get annoyed and angry for her part. Then again it could make me biased because I am her friend?

AO3 I don't get as many since its still up and coming but they are generally of more quality than on ffnet

AO3 I don't get as many since its still up and coming but they are generally of more quality than on ffnet FFnet is... kinda strange in that regard. I see people putting a lot of effort into their work and all they get are reviews like "More" or "I liked it" and that's cool, sure. Yeah, they're saying that they support the writer... But they're saying it in the plainest way possible and it comes off a little rude. These authors are posting thousands of words for your entertainment and the most you can give is three words per review? I'm not saying that reviewers have to write a damn dissertation on someone's fanfic, but s**t. Don't you want your favorite author to grow as a writer? Then give a bit of feedback. It won't kill you, I promise. Of course, I'm using the generalized "you" in this case, NK. blaugh

Bleh, I've had some bratty anonymous reviewers but sometimes I get the sneaking suspicion that it's the same person (or just a small handful of people... maybe two or three). I don't think you're being biased. To me, the anonymous review feature is a blessing and a curse. It helps for those people who are too anxious to leave a review with their name attached to it just in case they're afraid of a potential confrontation, but it leaves lots of room for people to be asshats and think they can get away with flames since their name isn't on it. You can be someone's friend and still view their writing objectively. wink

I just got a weird review.
On a story I posted in the Ben 10 archive, someone posted a review that was basically ranting about the Marvel Civil War story arch. Um… sorry, dude, but you're in the wrong fandom. Marvel Civil War was cool and all, and I like discussing it, but… this is Ben 10. You need to leave.
