Hmm.... I wonder what kind of increase could be seen in the nation's suicide rate if Hillary were elected. Interesting thought

I wouldn't want her to win. Period. She'd nanny the country around for sure!

Well, I do favor Condi, but I don't think she would get a minority vote. However, I also don't think she will run. She is too smart for that. On topic, I CAN'T support Hillary. I would sooner move to Switzerland. She will probably try to declare herself Pres for life if she can.

Well, we all knew it could happen, even though we feverently hoped it wouldn't. Hillary Clinton is forming an exploratory committe, the first step for becoming a possible canidate for the democratic party. There is still hope, she is only one of five possible canidates, and it's possibe someone else will be selected, but knowing the dem's, I wouldn't bet on it.

If she is nominated, I'm going to have to vote Republican. Normally, I vote for the LP's canidate, but Hillary being elected would be a disaster for libertarianism.

By the way, if Hillary gets the nomination, this will be moved to the Election subforum. In the meantime, maybe I should print out copies of the anti Hillary parody to hand out, just in case. xd

Well, thats good news. I hope it stays that way, and she doesn't even get nominated. Right now, thats the best case secenario.

I was thinking about deliberately registering as a Democrat so I could start voting against Hillary in the primaries. However, come Election Day '08, I have no plans on voting Republican in the event that she wins a party nomination. Come the Presidential Election, it doesn't matter who anyone votes for, as long as it's not Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Although I wouldn't trust Hillary's pollster, I think this article is worth sharing.

And I think we can all agree that Barack Obama, although extremely popular, has a lot to prove in order to convince the public at large that he can represent the nation.

Definitely. Hell I'm not sure what his views are exactly. Although lucky for me, you guys haven't convinced me yet that going after the third party is worth my vote, so I have no problem voting Republican.

From what I can gather in his new book, The Audacity of Hope, he wants to find some sort of bipartisan middle ground when concerning all issues.

And according to Wikipedia, he is also for an estate tax and against privatizing Social Security.

I'll quote Michael Badnarik.

Quote:
If i give you a 45% chance at lethal injection, a 50% chance at the electric chair, and a 5% chance for escape, which are you going to vote for? The electric chair, because your likely to win?

Actually, It does. One of the LP's major bargaining points is our ability to influence elections. If the election turns out to be 48% Republican, 49% democratic, and 3% Libertarian, then the democratic canidate wins. But if 2% of these libertarians vote republican, the it winds up bein 50% Republican, 49% Democratic, and 1% libertarian. And the Republican wins. In this example the same number of people voted against the Democratic canidate, but who they voted for made a difference. Our election system doesn't quite work that way, but it's reasonbly close. Thats why I intend to vote republican if Hillary is nominated. Hopefuly, though she won't be nominated, and it will be a moot point.

I keep telling my parents that I don't know which college I want to go to...

But if Hillary wins the presidency... I'm going to Oxford. eek

And I'll major in... uhh...

Island-building? sweatdrop

And I'll make an island called "The Isle of Liberty"

...

Yeah. 3nodding

Tch. I wish there were such a class as "Island Mechanics" stare

Unfortunately, I graduate in 2010, so... if she does win... I'll have to endure a couple years of her reign.

My plan is simpler than that. Just invade Antartica. The only army to worry about is the penguin army. Which is pretty formabile, but they are also bird that we can roast over a fire.

Lets see, you want to invade a neutral country because of political problems at home, crush the native army, which would be defending their home from foreign invasion, and use them for food while occupying their country. This is exactly the kind of thing the Libertarian Party is against.

Do us all a favor. If you do go through with this, don't do it under the Libertarian banner, cause it will NOT be a libertarian action.

Wait, Penguins count as people? When did that happen? I was just looking at them as a free meal. The reason the plan works so well is that there is no native group trying to defend it (The Penguin army was a joke). I don't see anyone's rights being taken away. The three scientists down there can stay there if they want.

Either way, if you haven't learned yet, I'm still a Republican that is border-line Libertarian, not a full blown Libertarian. So I wouldn't be tauting the Libertarian flag. I'd be tauting the flag of the great nation of KickAssia(Name subject to change)
