Merino's a generally friendly lion, completely dedicated to the pride. Her method of bringing others back is usually to regal them with tales of the lands she comes from - luring them with sugar and honey. She'd be more likely to find abandoned cubs than actually cub-nap, but with adults... her charming nature is her best advantage.

Merino was born fairly far away from the pride she now resides in. One day, she wandered away from her mother and siblings and got lost. While she was alone and hungry, she was picked up by one of the pride's old Wazas. He brought her back to the lands, and the tiny cub found a home there. As she got older, she grew to love the lands even more, and became friends with the new queen.

Dumisha is normally fairly level-headed, but there are a few things that set her off. One of these is losing in a fight - but rather than getting upset at the time... she tends to back off for a while. She'll analyze everything that she did and sometimes agonize over things, until she thinks she's found whatever flaw made her lose. Then she'll challenge whoever fought her again - and hopefully win this time. She's quite stubborn in persisting until she can win, no matter how many times she might lose before then. Other than that, she's fiercely independent, and believes that females can be just as strong as males.

Dumisha grew up in a small family of a single mother and one sibling - a sister. It was some time before she even saw a male, and her mother taught she and her sister to always be strong, no matter what. Dumisha's attitude about being as strong as a male was also passed down from her mother - who believed that bearing cubs was just as hard as anything a male could do, or harder. Once Dumisha was old enough, she left her family to wander the world - curious about things outside their own small territory. She got into fights here and there, and generally tended to win... and the few that she lost, she managed to track down the other combatant and beat them within a fairly short period of time.
However, at one point she fought a male named Mzimu'motokali and was very soundly beaten. By the time Dumisha returned from licking her wounds and trying to figure out what she'd done wrong... the male was gone. Since that point, she's been tracking him - trying to find him again so she can challenge him and best him. Eventually, she makes her way to the outskirts of the pride's lands... having determined that he must have gone inside.
Dumisha just recently found and fought the same male on the borders of the pride lands, and then decided to join the pride for the opportunity to fight more with all kinds of lions.

Kaylith has always been quite a bit more withdrawn and shy than her younger sister. She's also weaker physically and tends to get sick easily. Still, she cares deeply for her little sister and would hate to see anything happen to her. Kaylith was constantly cautioning Konani about asking questions when they were living at home, and ever since Konani left, Kaylith has been worried sick about her.

Kaylith has decided that she needs to go and find her sister. She doesn't even intend to bring her home if Konani wants to stay wherever she is - but she feels responsible for her. She wants to make sure that Konani is okay and not getting into too much trouble.
She knows very well that Konani will talk to almost anyone and ask the sorts of questions that will make her memorable, so she will have to ask questions herself probably to be able to find her sister.

Pembe is somewhat of a shy little cub, speaking quietly if at all. The only ones that she talks with easily is her own family - others tend to make her stumble over her words. She's afraid of doing something wrong and offending someone of a higher rank than her, so she usually just keeps to herself. She's also scared of physical violence, even feeling sorry for the prey animals the pride has to kill to feed itself. She is, at heart, a very gentle soul.

Coming out of my shell
She needs friends! Other cubs and possibly older pride members who don't mind her shyness and will work with her to try and help her get over it.
Bullies are no fun
I'd like her to have a bully or two, those who make fun of her nervous stuttering, her pink colors, her quiet voice, etc. Nothing too violent while they're young, but it might evolve into more physical bullying as she gets older.
You wanna run away
Eventually I want something to happen with one or more bullies that makes her run away from home, probably as an Adol or young Adult. She'll be very upset and just start running and not stop for a while - until she's totally lost.
Please ... help me
She'll need some kind rogue(s) to help her find her way back home! Or maybe yet more bullies who try to get her turned around and confused, who knows. Just some rogue interaction here! It's possible that one of said rogues might just manage to charm her, and have a bit of a fling for a while. She'll always be wanting to go home, however, and would take any cubs back with her. (possibly Zakiya)
Going home
Eventually, she will get back home and once there - she'll start to see that always running away isn't the solution to things. I want her to meet back up with old friends and her family. To talk with them, and try to find her place in the pride.
A reason to be brave
Finally, she will find her place as a guard. The catalyst for this... I want her to see another younger pride member getting bullied, or perhaps a slave that she doesn't think deserves it. And she ends up using what she's learned out on her own to protect the other pride member and get the bully to back off. Probably she'd start with words, being brave enough to speak up. But it would lead to a bit of violence and she winds up winning. She realizes that even though she doesn't enjoy fighting, she's good at it. And that helping to guard her home and drive off intruders is the perfect way to use those skills for her pride.
