She wouldn't have known about the mementos, but maybe he'd tell her eventually what was on his mind. She would have loved to know he had a journal of some sorts for something or another. She was pleased that the hungry, pleading eye trick worked. Though, she was fairly certain if she was hungry for whatever reason, she might have just been given the sandwiched without really have to do anything for it.

Although, she'd do work for them if she needed to later. Whatever the library needed, she'd help.

"Uhm, I'd love ham and cheese? Maybe?" She replied and wasn't entirely sure. Tuna also sounded good as well. Ooh..tuna. Now she was conflicted. She looked at Iniko, still hadn't gotten his name yet, but that was fine, right? She guessed the puppy face he was putting on worked, because 'Rary didn't even argue at all.

Hungry kids were hungry kids right? They got into more trouble on empty stomachs. She wasn't too worried about drinks, buuuuuuuuuuut...

"Juice of some kind maybe? Apple? Orange...I don't think it matters. How about you buddy?" She asked and felt weird she hadn't gotten his name now. Maybe...how do you do introductions these days? No one knew, right? Not as kids..

Ham and Chee, ham and chee! Liddie wasn't aware how hungry she was until Iniko kept dropping hints about it. She waited and listened about Iniko giving his name and she clapped happily. She notcied how reserved he had been about the question, but he seemed to shake himself out of it. Sweet..

"Way nice to meet you, Iniko!" He did seem like a small shy boy, but if he's never been in a library before. Speaking of...she humphed at 'Rary giving her name. Sure Clara is nice, but she liked nicknames Head Librarian should be 'Rary! Clarary. That'll work.

Oooooooh, they were going to get a cookie?! She had to let her brain catch up and process that she was pretty sure cookies were being tossed in! Must not bounce and squeal. Stay calm...we got this.

Liddie would try to peer over the counter at where people kept all the food, hoping food was going to be soon. She wondered where they would go to sit and eat, but that wasn't as important to if they were getting cooooooooookies. Liddie gently bumped into Iniko's shoulder, trying to pick and play to see if she could get a smile..

Hehe, the Miss Clara then he went on to saying he picked her name. Lydia nodded and stuck out her hand, though didn't know if he understood the concept of shaking hands. Maybe he hugged? "That's meeeeeeeeeeee!" She replied and closed her eyes cutely as she smiled.

After a moment she watched him look around at the other patrons and wonder what went through his head. She didn't really give it much thought that she was being too naive or that the boy was dangerous. Maybe it was because everyone was dangerous and she knew how to protect herself?

Maybe. Just possibly. If not for the other kids, she would be pretty lonely and up Ms. Clara's skirt a whole lot more. So to speak. She tilted her nose up at the counter and could smell the deliciousness that was soon going to be theirs. You couldn't rush perfection, she guessed.

She was just really hungry and Iniko made things so much more difficult while mentioning food in their conversations.

"So how are you doing? Where'd did you come from?" She asked, wanting to wait until food happened to get into more discussions like this, but she was still a bit impatient.

She scooted back to study poor Iniko. That sounded like a lot what she went through. "I..I too remember a very dark place with a light on the other side. I had to break out of a container..then. There was this thing in front of me in a bright surrounded light. I touched it and..it vanished. I later found out that..uhm. It was my book that..I guess..I chose or...it chose me.." She answered and felt silly. People didn't hatch from eggs, right? She wondered what Clara would say, but just then..she was grabbing food and relocating to a table slightly away from where they once was.

"Do you need a hug..?" She asked, not knowing how to feel sad for him, yet be on the same page as him at the same time....
Hugs..helped him too, right?

Liddie wasn't made aware that she loosened his feelings up some when she shared her experience of...birth. Should she even remember such a thing? Who knew, but she did. What baffled her the most so far was that he didn't know what coffee was or hugs? Next ...what would be next?

She noticed the uncomfortable shuffling of his feet, rather...she heard it with her all too keen ears. Then...his wings flapped. Was it a good flap? A bad flap? Did anyone else see his wings? No one was flipping out still, so that was good.

"Yeah, uhm. Most people do it when they are super happy when they hadn't seen someone in a long time. Most do it as a small form of...not being sad? Uhh..I don't know the word.." Comfort. In order to comfort. Either way, she held her arms out for him, going to let him move slightly in to be hugged and held.

Maybe a good thing would happen. Maybe a bad thing would happen. He was a strange child, as was she. It would give her the opportunity to also look at what Cla'Rary was doing. The elder Librarian didn't seem to mind that they were off in their own little moment - at the moment, huh?

She saw him seem to breathe a bit more than usual and then he eventually held open his arms in mimicking to her and then she moved forward when he did. She wrapped her arms around his body, a bit lower around the bottom part of where the ribcage normally sat and gave him a gentle squeeze. More of a hold than anything to just let him hopefully fall away into the secure feeling moment. If he attacked, well she wouldn't hold that against him either.

He seemed very much like a feral child. Starved...but hopefully that he was being fed would account for something. She would let him hold her for as long as he needed, but she couldn't help but say something about it. "Feel anything? Any better at all?"

She asked with a smile and would let him go if he wanted, but if he wanted more of the hug, that was fine as well. She liked hugs, they were good for lots of good feels. After he decided to let go, she'd look for the food and point in the direction of it. She was hungry...

Clara had been intently looking at her phone, she didn't even see the cat when it first jumped up onto the table. What caught her attention was the tail flicking in the corner of her eye as it jumped from the table. She looked up, placing her coffee down on the table top, her mouth hanging open slightly before she jumped to her feet. "Hey you!" She yelled pointing a finger at the animal, "There's a sign out the front that says no morphing or animals in the li-li-li-aaAACHUUUU~" She sneezed so loudly and with such force she almost made herself sit down again. Clara grabbed a napkin off the table and went to blow her nose looking a little frustrated as she sneezed again, this, exactly this was why the rule was in place.

Iniko though, he was somewhere around Lydia’s waist and feeling really unsure about how he was feeling. It didn’t make sense to him and he didn't know what to say.. And before he could even think of something to say the librarian exclaimed, he looked up in Clara's direction his face a dark plum colour. He was still trying to figure out what feeling it was a hug invoked in him, it was strange and warm. His eyes quickly narrowed in on the direction that she was pointing. What she said didn’t really make sense to him but he saw the cat had in its mouth a sandwich and knowing his luck it was probably his… He’d had more than enough practice chasing dogs to get his food back but cats.. They could be tricky...

Iniko frowned then quickly ducked out from Lydia’s hands and started running towards the cat, his wings flapping quickly and to give him a speed boost. The effect this gave him was almost like a hovering run so his footsteps made barely any noise, his intent was to try to pounce on the cat. He’d even try wrestling it for his sammich back...
